The guys showed up on time, were polite. First thing, they walked through the house and planned how they would load the truck. Our former home is on a steep hill, so they had that to take into consideration.They worked hard all day - were clear about what they could and couldn't do. They moved everything, no accidents. They were flexible and tried to finish all in one day, but weren't able to. So they came back (they were scheduled to do so) and finished the work, again, on time. I'm not planning on moving ever again, but I would strongly recommend Help-You-Move.

The company sent two guys to help with all the moving of furniture, boxes, garbage and breakdown of rotten outdoor furniture. These guys did a fantastic job - no complaining about the work or what they were asked to do. We had a lot of furniture and items that we were going to give to the Good Will for lack of time to sell. I asked the young men if they could use some of the items for their personal use. They said yes and were very excited and happy about this. They loaded their truck toward the end of my job. At this time I noticed they had taken some of the items given to them and put them in the dumpster - this was upsetting. I had told them anything they did not want for their personal use would be donated. We pulled these items back out to the best of our ability. A few weeks after the move I received a call from a family member who said he'd seen some of our mother's furniture in the window of a local antique shop. This was upsetting and not something we anticipated, these were items given to the movers. I contacted the owner of the company and discussed this with her. She was very apologetic and said the guys would be reprimanded and the policy of taking items would be changed. My suggestion to her was if they took these items of furniture and sold them maybe they could give part of the proceeds to us for my mother's care. I heard nothing else from the owner regarding the issue. This was a betrayal to us and our family in that we understood the young men would use the items for their personal use. I never would have given the items to them if I knew they would sell it. In the long run they just weren't honest or trustworthy young men.

John and his wife showed up after it was reported that they did not have sufficient manpower for the promised rate of 3 men for $75 per hour. John became verbally abusive and trheatened me. John's wife offered to help me pack and let the 2 men (her son and his friend) move boxes. This discussion progressed to a verbal altercation in front of friends, family and neighbors which was videotaped for documentation purposes. John, his wife, her son and the family friend were made aware of the video recording. John told me that my expectations for 3 men at $75 was unrealistic despite the fact they promised this to me on many occasions and use it to lure customers via Angies List. I also shared with John that my expectation for 3 men at $75 an hour was also corraborated on Angies List. John proceeded to tell me that he hated Angies List and wants off of it. My experience is that this is a bait and switch operation despite the fact that they market themselves as a family business on Angies List. I am a single woman with young child and planned well in advance for my move date. I made sure I had all the packing boxes and packing materials for the move on site. I think John intends to take advantage of people by showing up with only 2 men (albiet, a 20 year old family member and young family friend). I think John hopes no one will report the bait and switch scheme because they have you stuck the day of the move with no help and need for them to proceed with the move at a rate of $75 for 2 men. I chose not to have John and his family business proceed with my move for many reasons, primarily (1) because of the lack of follow thru with thier verbal contracts 3 men for $75; (2) when 2 men showed up they refused to adjust their hourly rate; and (3) verbally abusing the customer; and (4) no professionalism or integrity. This is truly bait and switch. Buyer beware. This is a very bad group of con artists. I advised John, his wife, their son and the family friend while onsite the day of my move, that I would be reporting this experience to Angies List, Better Business Bureau and the Oregon State Consumer Affairs division of Attorney Generals Office. I have the video, friends, neighbors and family to corraborate my experience.

Great great service. Loved the attention to the things that protect your carpet and walls while moving in with your furniture. The guys wore booties too and I appreciated that because I had recently had the carpets steamed cleaned. Excellent company and I would use them again.

The two movers showed up exactly on time. We were frazzled as most people moving usually are, we only had one day to get the essentials moved for our six-person home, but after seeing the job, both Tyler and Anthony had a quiet confidence that immediately relaxed us. We were moving a 3,000 sq.ft. house, a guest house and a garage packed with stuff and with four kids we had nightmares about getting the items we needed to spend the night in the new house moved in one day. These two guys prove that good technique, experience and the right equipment are way more important than size when moving. Neither one is huge, but they managed to get a 26-foot truck packed, moved, and unloaded in only eight hours. It probably would have been faster had we been better prepared (which of course they somewhat depend on). but they managed to work around our being unprepared and got it done quickly and efficiently. They were professional in every way and worked hard, and worked smart. They even managed to get a giant, uncooperative (it kept folding up) treadmill that I was sure would not fit through the doorway into a room, when I would not have even tried after sizing up the treadmill and the doorway. My wife and I were so pleased with their professional attitude, can-do confidence and overall professionalism that I am tempted to go on and on, but I'll end my praise here by saying that I would (and will) recommend Help You Move to anyone looking for moving assistance. These guys were great, simply terrific. I was only going to use them for one day, but seeing how much they got done and how well they did it, I hired them for a second day. It was well worth the money. Also, if you're smart, you'll ask them their advice on how to pack boxes before you do so, since that can save you a lot of grief. These guys obviously have a ton of experience and are great at what they do. Uh-oh, I'm going on and on, aren't I? Anyway, two thumbs up for Help You Move from this more than satisfied customer!

Because of the amount of furniture and belongings for the move, the original proposal was from 3 to 4 days work to make the move. Because of their speed and efficiency, Help You Move was able to complete the move in only two days, really impressive! Help You Move was right on time to get started. They had four people that looked over the house to see what was involved then efficiently broke it down into logical areas to pack the U-Haul properly. When they arrived at my new house, everything went into a reverse logical order with the same speed and diligence. I was totally amazed that nothing got damaged in the process, but Help You Move carefully protected each and every item to make sure that nothing bad would happen. Every employee of Help You Move was totally committed to make your move a pleasant move. All that I had to do was sit back and watch and if they had a question about any particular item, they would asked me how I wanted to handle it, they really cared.

The 3-man team showed up precisely on time. They had all their equipment in a 14-foot truck, including pads, dollies (including a piano dolly), and protective pads for doorways and floors. They were young, strong, and hard-working. They worked really quickly, stopping only a few times at my insistence for water breaks. My wife brought them lunch, but they were planning to purchase their own lunch at a nearby store to eat while "off the clock." The job was fairly complicated, including unloading a piano and several bulky, heavy, fragile furniture items, including a large, 3-piece china cabinet and two couches each having two built-in recliner units. It also included moving over 400 boxes of household goods - some of them twice (from the semi into a smaller truck and then into our house). All was accomplished quickly and efficiently with NO breakage or damage. I would totally recommend these guys to anyone else needing help in moving things, and I will use them again in the future if I need moving services.

There guys were outstanding! Three movers showed up at 10:00 AM, punctually. they were efficient, organized and dismantled our home and loaded it in our trailer. There were careful and conscientious and always kept moving. They unloaded our contents at our new address and set up our new home. They put the beds together, hooked up the washer and dryer, put the tiered bookcases together, set up all of the furnishings and put all of the boxes in the corresponding rooms. This was as easy and smooth experience. I am a Realtor and would hire Help You Move again each and every time. Really great service and affordable. Very thrilled with this company.

Took care to not damage walls or corners while moving. They actually wrapped some of the corners. I had several glass curio cabinets which they took extra care with. Very effecient and friendly. They are all very hard workers from start to finish. All very professional. They were very patient with me when I wasn't quite sure where to place the furniture at the new house. Would recommend them to anyone who needs to move. Very pleased with the entire move.

They exceeded my expectations. They put pads down on the floor, brought tools, protected the door jams and extra blankets to make sure the floor was not damaged. They took their time, they also helped me sort what stayed in storage and what came to the house. They brought dolly's and special equipment for carrying large items. They unwrapped all my furniture, placed it and set up all my beds. When I talked to John the owner originally he was aware of the location and knew that the driveway was awkward, he suggested that I get a smaller moving truck because of the space. They were on time professional and they were fast. They were cooperative and helpful. Tyler even helped me rearrange the storage unit so I could find things easier in the future.

John and his guys were professional, kind and considerate. They packed and moved us giving great attention to every detail. We would definetly use them again and have already recommended them to others. Don't look any further, this is your moving company!

Pro's: On time, professional, individualized service (John the owner was on-site helping and supervising), HARD workers, amazing price for the amount of work performed, efficient, friendly, careful with our things, no dents or scratches or breaking of anything!!! Some of the best customer service I have ever recieved. You can't beat using these guys!!! Cons: The only con that I can come up with is that some of the boxes were not put in the correct room, although the box was clearly marked. This occurred on average about 5-9 times in each room. It was annoying, but in no way would this deter me from using them again or recommending them to everyone. They did an AMAZING job!!! Plus, after talking with John, this might not be an issue in the future. There was a new guy working on our moving day, and further training and emphasis on reading labels and putting boxes in the correct room is going to be emphasized by John, the owner of the company. Seriously impressed with his response too!! The very first contact we had with this company was with Natalie. She gave us an over the phone estimate. She was thorough, professional, nice, and helpful. You couldn't ask for more! She was very clear of what we needed to do on our end before moving day, and was clear about what the expectations of Help You Move would be. Natalie gave really great service. Two days before the move I got a call from Natalie making sure that everything was a go on our end. She reminded me that Help You Move brings all the furniture pads and dollies that we would need. So not only are these guys professional and hard working, they bring all the extra equipment and supplies with them! If I was to rent the amount of pads they used and the two dollies that would have cost me an extra $75-100! What a great service they provide. Seriously, they used probably 40-50 furniture pads. They took really good care of our things. On moving day, John, his son, and one other mover showed up on our doorstep ready to work, promptly on time. They immediately got to work. They were positive, friendly, helpful, and professional. We were running a little behind and had not done some of the little things like clean up toys. One of my first meetings with John was there in my living room, on his hands and knees cleaning up my son's army guys. That right there showed me what type of guy John is. He is down to earth and friendly, but he is also so professional and runs a tight ship. What great traits in the owner of a company. We were quoted to have two guys to come and move us and THREE showed up! When I asked John about this he just said "I wanted to make sure we took good care of you and got this move done quickly." Man how AWESOME is that!?! These three guys were hired by the hour, which made me nervous, but those fears were laid to rest immediately. These three guys were like work horses! They stopped here and there just to drink water and have a snack. I was seriously impressed with their work ethic and strength!! And this comes from a woman that was raised on a farm... I know how to WORK and don't stop until everything is done. These guys really impressed me. My husband was just as impressed too. Help You Move packed up the whole truck, which was hard for me to relinquish my control with this. I kept a close eye on them, making sure they were taking care of my things... especially the boxes that were marked fragile. They took AMAZING care of all the boxes and furniture. They packed the truck extremely well and efficiently. I got the biggest truck and wanted only one trip. Because of the great job these guys did we had only one trip! We had a lot of stuff and they packed it supremely well. Furniture pads were used on things that I didn't even think needed furniture pads, but I guess they know best. NOTHING got scratched, dented, or broken. This was the best move we have ever had and it's because of Help You Move!!! They packed up our truck and then went to our new home to unpack it. I was sure their work ethic might decrease a little bit because of the 2 hours they had already put in - HARD WORK! But that was not the case. They pushed through with serious efficiency and speed and strength, and yet were still so careful with our things. Like I said before, the only downside to this whole experience was that boxes clearly marked for one room were put in another (5-9 in each room). We had to go on a couple scavenger hunts trying to find a few boxes. I did call John about this and he apologized and said he would for sure talk to his guys about this. They did have a new guy with them on our new day (training) and so maybe that is where the issue was. Whatever it was, John said he was going to get on it and talk to all his employees about it. Once again... great professionalism. John, the owner of the company, listened to my suggestions and really took them to heart. I'm sure the next time we use them this won't even be an issue. Man, what an amazing company!! I'm not used to working with small town Mamma and Pop businesses, and this was a really great experience. I'm glad I was able to stay local and help out a local company here. You can't beat the customer service and the price!! Thanks to John, Natalie, and the whole crew!! You guys gave us a really great move!!! I will be using you the next time we move and would strongly recommend them to all friends and family. Use Help You Move for your next move. You won't regret it!!!

These folks are truly wonderful. They hadn't worked with uHaul U-Boxes before, so they took the time to go over to the local dealer and learn what they needed to know before moving our three storage pods. They picked up the trailer and pods, drove them 30 miles, unloaded all three very quickly and efficiently, then returned the pods and trailer for us. The help couldn't have been better and it was arranged on short notice. Thank you so much for the great work!

Perfectly! This company is great! I was extremely happy with the team at Help you Move. The initial phone help in organizing the move was professional, informative, and friendly. I had a complicated move I was presented with many flexible options due to the nature of my long distance move. The team arrived on time and was extremely well prepared and ready to go. They were friendly, polite and very careful. I had heavy antique furniture and breakables, many pieces which had glass mirrors delicate features. Much of the furniture needed to be moved up a flight of stairs. The team at Help You Move covered the wood floors and the glass panel in the front door to protect from damage. They were very efficient and organized. They unloaded a 26' U-haul truck in less than 2 hours, everything was in perfect shape when they were done. I will definitely use the team at Help You Move if I ever need this kind of service again, and highly recommend them.

I did not feel like they made a good assessment of our needs and I felt like their price is too high for what they were offering.

We asked Help You Move to come to our home to give us a bid on packing and loading our home in preparation for moving to a new state. After comparing John's price to other bids, we decided to contract with Help You Move because their pricing was based on what he saw in our home rather than on weight and would be much more accurrate and fair.We hadHelp You Move come to load what we had already packed into a 26-foot U-Haul truck for a partial move. The 2-man crew was prompt and ready to work as soon as they showed up. Paying by the hour is always risky, but John and his team never stopped moving and the loading was done very quickly. We have since contracted with them to come and pack up the remainder of our home and then come back to load up another U-Haul. Their service, priciing, and professionalism is absolutely top-of-the-line and they go out of their way to try to accommodate all of your needs. Their responsiveness and efforts go a long way toward alleviating the stress associated with a long distance move.

Everything went very smoothly. The only downfall was the truck I rented wasn't big enough so we had to do a second load. My recommendation is to always rent a bigger truck than you think you will need.

We had contracted for three people to do the move. They arrived on time. They very carefully navigated the large pieces of furniture through narrow hallway (and narrow doors) without damage to either the furniture, walls, doors, or doorways. They worked non-stop (except for scheduled breaks). We were very pleased with the care they took with our possessions and their ability to squeeze the large stuff through the narrow hall. The company may have had a name change and now may be operating as Help U Move.
