I would leave 0 stars if possible. Greg showed up, told me what he thought needed to be done, and disregarded my concerns about the main issue being a leak coming from my water heater. He talked down to me as if I were stupid and also didn’t fix the main issue of water squirting out of our water heater and causing water build up/damage in our home, though he did fix the lesser issue regarding our water pressure. He also did random unauthorized jobs throughout the house without asking during my absence and then charged $1200 for his “services.” He refused to send an itemized invoice. My water heater was still actively shooting water out of a valve when he left. A few days later our water pressure went out again. When I called to ask him about his replacing the water pressure regulator, he said “I never did that and I wouldn’t have told you I did that so I don’t even know where you would come up with that. Maybe some other company talked to you about that.” So he either lied to me about work that he never actually did (but charged me for), or he is lying now.

Greg came by within a day of my inquiry and outlined the project and options ( condensation drainage ). Rinnai lists Base One Plumbing is the only authorized Rinnai Tankless Water Heater Installer in Medford. He is experienced and knowledgeable in the model I purchased. He used the existing ventilation opening from my previous water heater and ran a condensation runoff line to my garden where none had been installed by the home builder and protected the tubing with a copper pipe in the section that runs under my back door. He provided a written estimate which is consistent with what I found on Angie's List and Home Advisor. He completed the entire project within 6 hours, provided copies of all required paperwork and did the job to State of Oregon Code standards. He Unit operates as advertised and I have no complaints.

10 minutes after my scheduled appointment, I received a phone call from Greg at Base One plumbing, to tell me he went out of town and could not make his scheduled appointment. I told him I called out of work, and that this is a loss of money for me. Greg responded "it is what it is". He gave no apology, no expression of remorse for completely inconveniencing another person. Then he had the gall to ask if I wanted to reschedule! If you are looking for someone unreliable, who may or may not show up to an appointment, and, who is incredibly rude and inconsiderate. Base one plumbing is your guys. Very disappointed!

Service call was $65, which I knew ahead of time. Before anything, I got the impression that I was putting him out by having to check out the leak. When he assessed the water heater, he told me the connections were leaking and would need to be replaced but it would need to be pulled out in order to access one of the connections. He could not get a hold of my home warranty company right away, which would have to give permission for him to fix it, so he left without warning. I then got a call from the warranty company that quoted his services would be $465, $300 of which would be to take the water heater out to access the connection. (Not to mention the home warranty would only cover $125). After he left, I went into the bathroom and he had sprayed filthy water all over my freshly painted walls and left it there, not saying a word. I now have no water to the house, no working water heater and I'm out $65.

Bought a Bosch dishwasher from Lowe's. Paid Lowe's $129 to have their installer remove the old dishwasher and install the new one. This would be our 3rd dishwasher. Greg Major removed the old one and informed us that we need to have a 30" piece of wood in the "hole" where the dishwasher would go. Didn't that piece of wood but would go get one. Estimated additional cost would be $125. Wife agreed to that as the new dishwasher was in the middle of the kitchen floor. It took them about 1.5 hours to complete job. Do we feel we were overcharged? You bet. $254 to remove and install a new dishwasher we feel is excessive. Very unhappy. Voiced our complaint to Lowe's. Salesperson was great, the manager was supposed to call us two different times. He never did. We have purchased other appliances from Lowe's. Will we do again, I don't think so. Will we use Base one again, NEVER.
