I want to give a shout-out to Accurate Plumbing for a small commercial remodel with some not-so-small issues. The men were amazing and professional. They stuck to their schedule and completed the tasks at a very reasonable expense. They are now my go-to plumbing contractor. The job location was in Eagle Point on W. Main St. If you need to ask me any question, please feel free to call me at 541-324-2620.
Description of Work: They relocated a water heater to the attic and installed new vent pipes through the roof for the sink and main sewer. In addition, a new tenant, a dog groomer, required a dog sink. For this, they had to saw-cut the cement and trench to the main sewer line, create the proper 1/4" per foot slope, install all the plumbing in the walls for the sink/tub and new water heater.

I am the president of the Brookhurst Village Condo Association. We hired Accurate Plumbing to repair six bib hoses to individual condos. After meeting with two employees who took notes about locations and which homes required entry to accomplish the job. We received a quote for $600 to make these repairs. Unfortunately I was unable to be on site for the work due to a business meeting and made arrangements for the work to be done unsupervised with Accurate Plumbing. Two different employees came out to do the work and were uninformed of the work to be done. My business meeting was interrupted three times for details about the job. A short time after the calls I arrived on site to see the plumbers leaving. I flagged one down and was told they needed to get something from the office. I went around to see what was done. A total of one hose bib was repaired. Tenants were left waiting with appliances moved and had taken time off of work to accommodate the repairs. I called Accurate Plumbing and was informed that I did not supply enough info and the plumbers were moved to another site. I informed them to return the plumbers to finish the job that day or they would not get paid. At this point I interacted with the owner, Robert Souza, who proceeded to insult me with profanity and name calling. I hung up. Later that afternoon I was called by Accurate Plumbing to inform me that a tenant of a completely different unit was without water and I needed to find another plumber. The owner of the home was informed that Accurate Plumbing could not do the work because they were at odds with the Association. Five minutes after this call was made I went down to the condo in question to see an employee from Accurate Plumbing working on the problem. No approval had been given by the Association, the home owner, or the property manager to preform the work. A few weeks later a bill was sent for $164 for the one hose bib and an additional $416 for the unauthorized repair. We refused to pay the bill. Accurate Plumbing then attempted to get the bill paid by taking us to small claims court. The court records showed that the bill had suddenly changed to $212 + parts for the one hose bib and the remainder of the $580 bill for the unauthorized repair. We met in mediation and against my better judgement I offered to pay the initial $164. Robert Souza refused and wanted his day in court. We met again in small claims court a week later. Robert continued to insult me with the same profanity and name calling and was admonished by the judge. The final judgement was for the Brookhurst Village Condo Association with a monetary award of $504. This left a $76 bill for one hose bib repair. Unfortunately for Robert Souza and Accurate Plumbing this venture cost them as they are obligated to pay for all court costs. This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a contractor and I have had many interactions with hundreds on contractor over my career. We will never use Accurate Plumbing again...
Description of Work: Hired for six hose bib repairs. Performed the repair of one hose bib and walked away from the job. Came back to make additional repairs not approved for an entirely different unit and overcharged for the unauthorized repair.

Came out and failed to finish the job hired to do then proceeded to charge for work that was not authorized. I will never use them again. UPDATE: After disputing the bill they sent us to collections for work we never asked to be done. UPDATE: After offering to pay a portion of the disputed bill they refused and would rather waste time and money in a trial. Additionally, they refused to show any letter of approval for work done. Never again...

I give them A all the way through. They are very professional, clean, helpful and don't do unnecessary work. The plumber replaced faucets in bathrooms and the laundry area. Checked for what I thought was a leak under sink. Turned out to be fine. He was there about an hour. He left the area spotlessly clean.

We have worked with Accurate Plumbing for many years. Sadly my husband and I have watched the company's prices rise and the quality of service deteriorate. Case in point, over the last year we have had the provider work on bathroom remodels for two houses that we own. In this 12 month period, we have had issues related to both projects. Most recently the provider installed a brand new acrylic tub in our master bathroom. Within days of the tub being installed, the left front corner of the tub cracked on the bottom from the side to approximately the middle of the tub. The area of the crack was within inches of the drain opening. In looking under the bathtub, there is little to no support under the bathtub in the location of the crack. I could put my hand all the way under the tub in this area and could feel the bathtub and the gap below. On the day of the install, our plumber indicated they would drill out a hole for the leg of our tub and then this hole and surrounding area would be filled with mortar. Due to the way I configured the cabinet, I was able to get a camera in under the bathtub and was able to take a picture which showed clearly there was minimal mortar support in the drilled out area and little support surrounding the left front leg of the tub. This area was precisely the location where the crack occurred. When we called Accurate to request that they work with us to get the tub fixed, they said it was not their fault. There was no discussion with staff; there was no willingness to at least come out and look at the issue. Bob simply said it was not their fault and we could hire another company to patch our brand new tub. This was not satisfactory, so we requested that he once again follow up with us. This time Bob called a second time and indicated that we could order a new tub; pay for it ourselves; and they would install it for a charge. Bob's response was both unresponsive and unprofessional. On our previous project we also encountered issues. Accurate installed plumbing for a shower where we encountered issues with the plumbing and the shower valve which required that we have Accurate out twice. When we received the bill for the first technician working on the shower, the labor hours were double the time the technician actually worked on the job. Then on this same project, we had them install a new toilet. The toilet was seated by their plumber inadequately. The toilet leaked which required that we have them out again to reinstall. It also required that we replace the vinyl and subfloor. We were planning to replace vinyl, but clearly not the subfloor. The end result was that the project cost us more money due to additional hours required of our contractor. Our current tub fiasco will now require a new tub and more labor hours from both our contractor and another plumber. On our last project, we let the added costs slide because we have worked with Accurate for many years. We assumed what we encountered was a fluke. With our current project, the cost of corrections have skyrocketed. The company is not operating in good faith and they are not making any attempt to stand behind their work. As stated, we have worked with Accurate Plumbing for many years. The company was very good in the beginning when Bob was more closely involved in the operations of the company and servicing the customer. He is a delightful man. As Bob has added more and more staff to his company, the quality of the work has gone down. We have come to understand that we cannot count on his staff to do things correctly. And unfortunately, like other reviewers; we have also watched the cost to hire Accurate rise. At this point, they have also become a very expensive plumbing company.
Description of Work: The provider had worked with my family for many years. Most recently on a house remodel to install plumbing for a new bath and kitchen.

Description of Work: Oscar came and found the problem to be a leaking pipe that was supposedly fixed by another plumber a few weeks prior. He was meticulous in his work and I really appreciated his knowledge and willingness to locate the leak which was difficult to find since it could only be accessed through a crawl space.Oscar was professional and clearly willing to go the extra mile to fix a problem someone else wasn't.

I felt the work overall was acceptable but I would have appreciated consulting my preferences on a placement of rough plumbing and that of a spigot outside the shop. They placed the rough in plumbing so it was difficult to seal it off from critters and also made it difficult to wrap insulation around the pipes. They explained that this was their approach to all crawl spaces but my situation (small bath extension on to main shop) required a bit more finesse. They also installed the spigot where one of my building hold downs were to be located and they wanted to charge me for the move. It was obvious that there were to be hold downs in that location because of the bolts that were sticking up and I had the brackets leaning where they could see them! After considerable arguing, I moved the spigot myself and they had to do a five minute hook up and they still mentioned charging me! It also left a hole in building! Also, after they dug the initial trench they left me a huge mess to clean up as they had a new guy on the back hoe that day and again, could have used a lot more finesse. They were mostly decent guys and now that the job is done, all turned out okay. I guess I would use them again but hope I don't have to, meaning I am hoping everything stays in good working order. I will say that the price was very good and that brought them from a C to a B rating.
Description of Work: Two jobs were done. The first was digging a trench and installing and hooking up a sewer line from my shop to my house. The second was installing an ejector pump system for my shop bath and roughing in plumbing for my inside bath.

Bob arrived early which was perfect with us. Started working right away; he was skilled and very friendly. Enjoyed talking to him along with my husband. Bob put the new faucet in pretty fast and checked to make sure everything worked; which it did. He did a fantastic job in removing the old caulk around our sink (which really needed it). He took a lot of time scraping away the ugly old caulk - as this is the most important part of the job. We are very happy with the job Bob did and I would recommend him to anyone.

Due to the recent cold snap, one of our outside water faucets froze. When the weather warmed and the standpipe thawed on a Friday no doubt, it began spraying water. Unfortunately, the bozos who installed this standpipe (long before I bought the house) didn't install a shut off valve in the crawl space so I had to shut the water off to the entire house at the water meter. The pipe is threaded galvanized pipe so I dug down to where the standpipe threads into the elbow below grade. This was about 18 inches below grade. I was unable to unscrew the pipe so I called Accurate Plumbing Solutions. By this time, it was late afternoon. Since all plumbers in the valley have been swamped with frozen pipe calls, I was put on a waiting list. Accurate Plumbing called me after 5 PM to tell me they were able to schedule me for Monday morning between 8 and 10 AM. Even though I had to go through the weekend without running water, at least I knew I was scheduled for 1st thing Monday morning. Monday morning at about 8:30, the plumber called me and told me he'd be here in about 20 minutes. Sure enough, he was here 20 minutes later. I told him that I wanted a shut off valve installed below grade and that I would install a valve box to house it. He got right to work and had that standpipe off and had installed a ball valve below grade within 15 minutes. I was able to turn on the water to the house and start washing dishes while he installed a new standpipe and garden valve. During this time, the receptionist at Accurate Plumbing called and asked me it the plumber had arrived yet. I told her that he had and that he was almost finished with the job. I appreciate this because it shows that all the employees at Accurate Plumbing work as a team and want to make sure the customer is happy. The plumber finished the job and it looks great. He even wrapped pipe insulation around the pipe as a safety measure until I can get around to installing a valve box. He charged 1 hour for labor which is about how long he was here plus parts. I thought the charge for the ball valve and garden valve were reasonable but the charge for the rest of the materials was probably a bit high. Thus, I give a B for price but otherwise, a straight "A" experience for me.

A severe winter storm caused the water line to the house to freeze, then break. Our situation was just one of hundreds reported around the area, so I knew immediate service was impossible. I called three area plumbers - Artoff, Accurate Plumbing, and DrainPros -- and was put on their waiting lists. The folks from Artoff called back the next day (12/11/13) to set up an appointment, so I called Accurate and DrainPros to be taken off their waiting list. To my surprise, the folks from Accurate Plumbing called back the next morning, just to check if our problem had been corrected. We've never worked with this company before, so it's not like we were a repeat client...and there are still hundreds of folks out there with frozen pipes and other plumbing issues. The fact that they'd take a few moments to call and check back really impressed me. We will definitely consider them for future plumbing jobs.

After three days of below-freezing temperatures and substantial snowfall, the water main in my backyard broke and was spewing gallons into my frozen backyard. I called APS in a moderate panic, unsure how to describe the problem or its severity, and was told they'd "send someone right away." In less than half an hour, on what was no doubt a very busy Sunday for them, I had someone here and starting the repair, and he was done in less than an hour. He provided me with good tips on preventive care (which, as a young, first-time homeowner, I really appreciated) and was friendly and direct throughout the process. Even paying the double rate for an hour's work was worth it, so happy was I to have my faucets working inside and my backyard no longer flooding.

We have a home that was built in 1973. Both bathrooms have the old shower / tub combination. Our master bath had a Green steel tub that looked horrible and was too narrow (Only 18" of space to stand in when showering). The shower head was set too low because of a soffit. All in all, our master bath looked bad and was not comfortable either. So we asked Accurate Plumbing for a bid on removing the old tub / shower combination and installing a new low rise custom shower. They came out and looked at what we had and made several suggestions to go along with what we were thinking. Then they got back to us (within just a couple of days) with a bid that fit our budget for the project. They proposed removing the old tub / shower combo, removing the soffit, installing a new ceiling, installing a custom made 36" wide cultured marble shower pan with cultured marble walls that went all the way to a new ceiling height of 8', raising the shower head up to a height that would suit a 6'6" person, installing all new Delta shower controls and head, a water proof light in the shower, a seat in the corner, a "grab bar, and a large shower "caddy" to hold soap and shampoo etc. and a new shower door. We accepted their bid and asked that they start as soon as possible. Within just a few days, they called us back and set a date. Lisa Crumley was our project manager. She set up everything; coordinated all of the sub contractors that were required (sheetrock, electrical, marble etc.) Lisa's project management skills are incredible!! Every aspect of the job ran like a fine Swiss watch. Russ (our lead plumber) arrived on the agreed upon date and on time and got right to work. Within one day, they had all of the demo work done and the new rough in plumbing accomplished. Right behind that was the electrician, then the drywall people, then the marble people, and finally Russ was back to install the finish plumbing. Just before the project got started we found a really incredible new shower door and bought it. We asked Lisa if they could pick up the new door and give us credit for the original door that was in the bid. No problem. Lisa managed it all with style. When the finish plumbing was done, the shower door installed arrived and did a fantastic job of installing the door. All in all, the whole project took a total of 3 days to complete. On top of that, and at the same time, we also had a new vanity, sink, and faucet set installed, with no setback in the timing. At no point in the whole process was there any mess in the house, and they did not leave the bathroom open to the attic or crawl space when they went home at night. Every thing was clean and neat when they were finished. The great thing was that all of the work was done according to the bid (there were no increases in cost), the work was done on time, and within the amount of time (3 days) that was specified. Thanks to Lisa's superior management skills, and Russ's attention to detail, we are the proud owner's of a fabulous new master bath. If you are thinking of getting rid of that old colored steel tub and upgrading your bath, Accurate Plumbing is the company to hire. We could not be more pleased. Our only problem now is trying to figure out when we can have our other bathroom remodeled. Fabulous Job!!!!

Our insinkerator (instant hot water faucet) was leaking below the sink and we were concerned that the garbage disposal was leaking as well. I called Accurate Plumbing Solutions and they had someone out within a few hours. Travis found that the tank on the insinkerator was bad and was able to replace it for us. He also checked the garbage diposal and the pipes under the sink for leaks and found it to be working just fine. Our hot water faucet now works perfectly and we have no leaking under the sink. He was friendly and professional and efficient. I will definitely call them for our plumbing needs in the future.

About a week ago, just in time for Christmas, our plumbing was gurgling and, of course. we had a house full of family and friends. My husband bought a "bladder" and managed to get things running again, so we forgot about it. Then just in time for New Years family gathering, it became plugged again, and nothing we did seemed to help. We put in a call at about 3 pm on New Years Eve, fully expecting to have to live with it until after New Year's Day. Accurate Plumbing Solutions had a guy here before 5 pm and within an hour, the problem was fixed and we have a pretty good idea as to where the problem is for future troubles. The charge was $89. which seemed a bit high, but for New Year's Eve, it was probably the going rate.
Description of Work: Used a very long snake to clean out the sewer pipe for about 100 feet, from the back of our house clear out to the street.
