A-1 Classic Roofing

Description of Work: Mr. Keller replaced our roof. He had to remove the gutter guards my husband had put on the gutters. He said he would put them back. He did not.

Description of Work: Roof was replaced on house and small 0ffice-shop building. 10 year guarantee against roof leaks written in contract. In March of 2001, the roof on the small office-shop building developed a leak during the heavy rains in winter. We called the roofer, who came out and put some sealant along one side. He did not take things out of the closet against the wall. When my daughter removed some damp things she discovered mold on many items in the closet. Many things were ruined. We called ProKleen to take air samples to make sure the mold had not caused bad air quality as our daughter lives in that room. They then cleaned the wall and closet where there was mold. We called Mr.Keller of A-1 Classic Roofing to tell him what we had to do, and he agreed to pay for the damages. When we sent him the bill he refused to pay and denied that there was a leak in the roof. Our home insurance would have paid the bill and then tripled our rates for three years, so we were forced to pay the bill of $1,428.o4. I filed a complaint against A-1 Classic Roofing with the Better Business Bureau, and Mr.Keller replied to them with a letter filled with exaggerations and insults against us. That complaint is still active. I would not recommend A-1 Classic Roofing as I feel the owner, Mr. Roger Keller, does not meet his obligations. Sincerely, Janet Blaha
