Amcraft Cabinets

We contracted Amcraft to build and install custom cabinets to our specifications.  When they came to install the cabinets, they had to notch the cabinets to fit around my existing plumbing. The problem was that the salesman who measured the kitchen before work started told use that all the plumbing would fit in the cabinets and that nothing would need to be moved, I had all the sheet rock removed at that time and could have made any changes necessary at that time. When the installers were trying to locate the studs in the walls they shot screws in the new sheet rock to locate the studs leaving 3 to 4 screw holes around every stud. I asked the owner of Amcraft Greg White why his installers did not use a stud finder and he told me that had been locating studs like this for over 20 years with no complants. After the Lower cabinets were installed we noticed they were not built according to the quoted height and that they were approximately 1-1/2" to tall. When i contacted the salesman "Ken Mayo"about the problem he told me that he had made a mistake and that Amcraft would  take care of the problem. When the salesman came out to measure the cabinets for the his shop so they could figure out what rework would have to be done he once again told me and my wife that he was sorry for the trouble  that was his error and that they would correct the problem. The next week we met with the owner Greg White and the salesman Ken Mayo, They told me that they would alter the cabinets at an additional cost  to us of $400.00. I told Greg that Ken told us that It was His mistake and that Amcraft would take care of this problem. Ken denied ever saying that is was his mistake and that they would take care of the problem. I told Greg that we had all ready paid $10,000.00 for the cabinets and that they were not built as per there quote and that I was not going to pay them to repair the cabinets. All work has stopped since 3-12-12. I am unable to finish the kitchen because the cabinets need to be removed, shortened and reinstalled before the granite can be installed. This means no sink, no stove, no flooring, ect. Amcraft refuses to come out and correct there mistake unless we pay them to do so. We currently have no kitchen in our home and have been cooking in our motorhome. We have been force to  hire an attorney to deal with this issue. At this time It looks like we will have to settle this issue in court.

They provide very professional service and design work.  they are very easy to work with as far as scheduling.  Their completion time from design to installation is quick.  The quality of their cabinetry is exceptional.
