Amcraft Cabinets

When we built our home we used Amcraft, we are greatly disappointed with the general quality and functionality of the cabinets we have. That being said, we are adding new cabinetry to a laundry room remodel and would like to match what already exists in our house. I wasn’t contacted until I called back after two weeks had passed, the salesman was generally uninterested, argued with me about priorities, he said I should just contact a different company, told me that I am and will be low priority since the 30k kitchens he can schedule are just more important, I explained that this project (including water heater, gas line, and utility sink) is just as important to me as the larger projects are to those customers. All in all the salesman was an a**, but did agree to come give me a bid. I plan on making this idiot jump through the necessary hoops to accommodate me, all whilst I now am working with Sheffield Custom Cabinets (who used to work for Amcraft). Trying to keep my project as local as possible, I honestly can’t believe the attitude and general apathy towards my potential purchase. All I can guarantee is I don’t plan to use Amcraft ever again. What a joke of a company. Seriously cannot believe how I have been treated by Amcraft.

They are local and I was able to see them in person at their shop. They make the cabinets here locally in Mcminnville. I try to go locally but there was not enough of a budget to go with them this time. I got to see them making their cabinets and it was very good quality. He showed up right on time to give me the bid. I would probably use them in the future.

We contracted Amcraft to build and install custom cabinets to our specifications. When they came to install the cabinets, they had to notch the cabinets to fit around my existing plumbing. The problem was that the salesman who measured the kitchen before work started told use that all the plumbing would fit in the cabinets and that nothing would need to be moved, I had all the sheet rock removed at that time and could have made any changes necessary at that time. When the installers were trying to locate the studs in the walls they shot screws in the new sheet rock to locate the studs leaving 3 to 4 screw holes around every stud. I asked the owner of Amcraft Greg White why his installers did not use a stud finder and he told me that had been locating studs like this for over 20 years with no complants. After the Lower cabinets were installed we noticed they were not built according to the quoted height and that they were approximately 1-1/2" to tall. When i contacted the salesman "Ken Mayo"about the problem he told me that he had made a mistake and that Amcraft would take care of the problem. When the salesman came out to measure the cabinets for the his shop so they could figure out what rework would have to be done he once again told me and my wife that he was sorry for the trouble that was his error and that they would correct the problem. The next week we met with the owner Greg White and the salesman Ken Mayo, They told me that they would alter the cabinets at an additional cost to us of $400.00. I told Greg that Ken told us that It was His mistake and that Amcraft would take care of this problem. Ken denied ever saying that is was his mistake and that they would take care of the problem. I told Greg that we had all ready paid $10,000.00 for the cabinets and that they were not built as per there quote and that I was not going to pay them to repair the cabinets. All work has stopped since 3-12-12. I am unable to finish the kitchen because the cabinets need to be removed, shortened and reinstalled before the granite can be installed. This means no sink, no stove, no flooring, ect. Amcraft refuses to come out and correct there mistake unless we pay them to do so. We currently have no kitchen in our home and have been cooking in our motorhome. We have been force to hire an attorney to deal with this issue. At this time It looks like we will have to settle this issue in court.

They provide very professional service and design work. they are very easy to work with as far as scheduling. Their completion time from design to installation is quick. The quality of their cabinetry is exceptional.
