In addition to those automated listings, he would occasionally send us information on houses he had just viewed or had just seen listed that he thought really came close to our requirements -- in fact, that is how we ended up with the house we bought. He worked closely with us to understand what we wanted from the house and how much we expected to spend, how much work we were willing to put into a house. The listings he sent were very much within the target price and key features we were seeking. He was consistently available to us, even when we made spur-of-the-moment calls to see a house. When we had houses in which we had real interest, he provided very relevant comparisons. A couple of houses in which we had interest, he had concerns and dug deeper for additional information, but he never made the decision for us, just ensured we had all the information we needed to make a decision. When we finally found "the house", he helped bring in additional inspectors, helped us set an appropriate offer and negotiate from there to the final offer that included work that needed to be done by the sellers.
