"Phenomenal work ethic, after the severe winter, I had an overgrown backyard and a tree that required care. Not only did they mow, weed eat, and trim the brush from my fence, they also removed all yard waste and cut broken branches from my tree. "Discussed the problem with my steep gravel driveway and its condition by phone. They were very complete in describing the tasks needed to be done, and when they came out 2 days later, they had exactly the right equipment and thoroughly did exactly what they said they would do, in the time they said it would take. The driveway is now graded smooth and evenly sloped, rolled, and compacted. It is in by far the best shape in the 20 years I have lived here. All at what I consider a fair, competitive price. And the crew that did the job was a pleasure to deal with. A very positive experience all around!"

"After 3 of their tries, a tall gate they installed still pinches at the bottom & definitely will not auto close, as I required in the beginning. Despite my eventual supplying excellent hinges (& they never credited $$ back to me, for hinges they took back-- & am terribly confused about how they installed what I purchased, without even thinking how to secure, & without regard my expense, the furthest out screw is between boards & while I offered the bolts, pure wisdom says, at least, use some washers!! And the gate should've been trimmed at the top on one side -- so many others have commented "shabby work". & all say the gate should be redone & done right. They never did backfill the fence posts...I agree with another review...they say they know how to do the privacy fence right, then they fail to do so, or answer emails. They begin tasks well, then slow down to wks & now months passing. While I corrected a prior low rating, when they sent someone to correct...I now have to revert back!!!"

Topsoil should go down first. If the topsoil is next to your house, make sure the grade slopes away from the house to keep water from pooling against your foundation and possibly leaking into your basement or crawl space. Don’t cover your decorative landscape mulch with topsoil as that defeats the purpose of laying down the mulch. If you’re trying to create a certain soil composition to improve plant growth, you’ll likely want compost mixed into the topsoil instead of mulch.
