Description of Work: PDX Electric initially responded and Marty came out to the house to talk with us in early/mid December. On March 9 someone from the office sent me an email regarding information they found on Marty's desk. They asked if they could return and follow up. We had already moved on as all other bids took about 2 weeks to respond. |Nice people, I think we just fell through the cracks.

Description of Work: Cleaned and repaired kitchen exhaust fan; rewired fan to power in 50-year old system. Nice job, in and out; all went well and clean up was good.

Description of Work: Help with the remodeling of the kitchen: new can ceiling lights, outlets for wall and island, and under cabinet lighting. Fantastic to work with.

Description of Work: Dave took time to check everything out and make sure all the runs were correct, although that was not the original thing they worked on. I appreciate the extra effort to make sure my wiring was safe.

Description of Work: Perhaps this review is not entirely fair because we asked PDX electric to work on two projects, one was within their scope of normalcy and the other was probably not. | |The first project was to install a subpanel and run 240v/40A and 120v/20A circuits to an outdoor sauna. They did an excellent job on this, arrived on time, cleaned up afterward, and did a professional job throughout. After a week or two the light switch they installed failed and they came out, no questions asked, and fixed it. | |The second project was to fix a backup generator that would not start from the transfer switch inside the house. It would (usually) start from the generator panel itself. PDX electric first said the problem was due to having two battery charges on the battery, one inside the transfer switch and another by a plug in battery maintainer. They removed the battery charger from the subpanel but it did not solve the problem. It did, however, leave the RUN and Engine Failure indicator lights inoperative. They then said that the problem was a faulty generator solenoid, which was outside the scope of their work, and they left. After installing a new generator solenoid the remote start problem still remains. We probably should have called a generator specialist instead of a professional electrician from the start. | |I would definitely hire PDX electric again for normal household electrical type of work.

Description of Work: they took out old wiring for attic & rewired it they also put in two fans in my living room. anew bathroom fan a new outlet in bedroom , put new boxes for my kitchen & dining room lights. I'll be calling them again real soon to place two outside outlets one in back of house an one in front. They men were polite and even put up with my silly questions... Thanks PDX Electric

Description of Work: Installed a new panel. Added two 20 amp drops as well as multipal new outlets in the garage. Put the microwave on its own new circuit, added an outdoor light and switch and cleaned up all the wiring in the garage. They also put in multipal ground rods. They were extremely professional and respectful to us and our property. We will use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone!

The owner, Marty, called back right away and organized Dave to come along today - I asked for someone last night, (late), and today, here was Dave! and can that fellow work. He is fast, efficient, very pleasant and answered all sorts of questions. And the price was so low I almost felt embarrassed by the number. The work was done so well. thank you!!
