Description of Work: Tim Leitner delivered a 3-D estimate for our kitchen remodel. It was easy to visualize , but he did not incorporate in the bid , all the changes I wanted, and the price was already on the high end. He was likable, showed up at the correct time and followed up.

They do excellent work. I have used them before to do a complete kitchen remodel. I highly recommend them. We have always been pleased with their work, and they are always on top of things. They are all together really great.

Member: The best part of working in your home is that we get to work with you and him. Thank you so much for the great review. Your kitchen and bath ideas are incredible.
Description of Work: Leitner Construction turned our very large crawl space into a livable basement. They had to level out the dirt, pour concrete, install electrical and plumbing work (we added a full bathroom), frame, build stairs up to the main level on the inside, install custom cabinetry, carpet and tile, paint, etc. The basement turned out beautifully. Our one frustration with them was how slowly the work proceeded. They originally gave us a completion date of Nov. 10th. This was changed to "by Thanksgiving" and the work was mostly completed right before Christmas! We decided to focus on the good and the finished product really is nice. Keith Krdna was the project manager. He is a really nice guy and towards the end really put forth extra effort. We wish that extra effort to coordinate the sub contractors had been there from the beginning, but at least he finished strong! And he went the extra mile to make sure all the touch-up work was to our satisfaction. All in all, we were very pleased with their work.

Member: Wow!! What a great opportunity to turn a wet crawlspace into living space. It's not something that we get to do every day. Thank you for that opportunity. I apologies for the hiccups early in the project. There were a couple unexpected conditions that through our game off, but we are thrilled that you are happy with the results.

We met a company representative at a recent home remodeling show and were really impressed so we asked them to bid on two projects: raising a sunken living room floor and removing the 1980's ceiling light grid in the kitchen. They came out to the house, reviewed the projects, and said they would have a bid within the early part of the following week. When we didn't hear back from them, we called the rep who told us he was just waiting for the pricing from his framer but would have the bid within the next few days. We never heard back from them -- maybe our projects were too small? -- and we've since signed with a different contractor.

Member: I'm sorry this didn't work out this time. We were a little slow in providing your bid and I apologize for that. However, I do understand that our representative Paul, was in contact with Mr Burkhart throughout the process. I do hope your project went extraordinarily well.

They are definitely still in the running for the job. I have two others that I'm waiting for a bid on.
Description of Work: They gave me a bid on finishing a master suite, a new bathroom, and a stairs attic that had already been remodeled. The job would involve adding a dormer and a bathroom.

It went great overall. I will try to go over each aspect as it occurred. We did the teardown and clean up leaving the room ready for the remodel. The plumbing went off without a hitch. They also installed a hose bib to the outside. There were no problems with the foundation work and the plumbing of the new shower. The framing also went well. They framed out the shower, a pass through from the bar to the living area and also a wall for the washer and dryer. The electrician put in 5 lights in the bar, a sconce, and also an 2 exhaust fans. The drywall contractors were very good and worked hard to get all the work done in only 3 days. The work halted while we completed the painting and then resumed with cabinets and tile. We had some minor issues with the tile and cabinetry, but they were addressed without additional cost to us and completed quickly. We are very satisfied with the finished project and wouldn't hesitate to use this company in the future.
Description of Work: Our first contact was with the senior designer Paul Bisby. After getting our information, Paul was very punctual in coming to our home and looking at the project. He took measurements and spent a lot of time talking to us and getting to know what we wanted. We ended up going with this company because of the individual attention. Other companies did the same basic design with the space, but we felt that Paul spent more time getting to know us and this showed in the project. We had an old daylight basement kitchen that was turned into a bar. They also added a bathroom shower to an adjacent 1/2 bathroom we had. It was a teardown to the studs and then complete rebuild. We relied on Paul and Tim to choose the subcontractors for plumbing, framing, electrical, drywall, cabinetry and tile. They gave us a detailed project calendar as well as called daily with updates as well as answering questions. When there were situations that arose, Paul was quick to call back and take care of things. We were very impressed with the professionalism and also honesty of this company. The whole project took about 5 weeks in total and was worth it.
We interviewed about a dozen contractors for this work. Paul survived several rounds of interviews. I immediately respected his professionalism, patience and eye for detail. He quickly provided requested references, insurance documentation, etc. During the project, Paul was upfront and honest with issues that arose. He involved me in decision making, contributed great design insight and made sure all discussions with subcontractors were clarified and everybody understood the work that was to occur. All phone calls made to him were quickly returned. When multiple subcontractors were on site, he showed leadership and they respected his decisions to coordinate their work. Paul proved that the most important aspect of a complete remodel was relationship building. He listened to us, gave insight, expressed understanding and was very honest. I would use Paul and Tim Leitner Construction again without question.
Description of Work: So much work was done that it is hard to figure where to start. In essence, they took our 700 square foot bungalow and made it into a 1900 square foot home. This was accomplished by taking our existing house down to the studs. All existing siding, lathe and plaster, electrical and plumbing was removed. New foundation was poured in front and back of the house creating a larger kitchen and full patio in the front. Existing foundation was reinforced with bolts and beams. An entire new second floor was added, creating three new bedrooms and a second bathroom. On the main floor, a wall was taken down creating a massive living/dining room. The kitchen was designed by Paul himself and features pullout drawers in the pantry and cabinetry. A display cabinet for the china ware was created by Paul and draws compliments with each new visitor to our home. The kitchen cabinets were done in cherry and match existing floors in color on the main level.
