Description of Work: This is a more detailed version of a brief review I wrote last year. Ed Swartz built a home for us from the ground up. I was impressed at every step of the way, from design to completion. We had definite ideas about what we wanted and he and his designer made it work. We are now in our home for 17 months and awaken every day happy to be here. He has done a lot of building in Lake Oswego and knows all the rules. Ed has an excellent eye for design and we took his advice on many items. Considering the immensity of such a project, there is almost nothing we would have done differently. He was able to stay quite close to our budget. When we had questions, he was responsive, when something did not work, or did not work correctly, he was responsive. His subcontractors are great as well. We have used their services on other projects. Over all, a process that I feared would be unpleasant and expensive turned out to be a pleasure and while not inexpensive, we felt it was well worth the money. We hope to live in our home for many happy years and would not hesitate to recommend ESCM for anything from a small remodel to an entire home.
