Description of Work: Ed torn down my old deck and replaced it in eight days. We did slightly change the design and now I have a gorgeous new deck which I will enjoy this summer. Ed is extremely knowledgeable and I learned more about what to want in a deck then I knew to ask for. He also listened to what I wanted to accomplish and suggested ideas which I found to work nicely with my deck design and landscaping. I will definitely use Ed's skills again for other projects.

Description of Work: Ed and his team worked very hard to have the deteriorated deck boards removed and installed the new ones. They used stainless screw exclusively instead of the nails used by the previous deck contractor. The deck now looks beautiful.

Description of Work: Nice guy. He showed up on time, measured my deck and asked me what I wanted. I haven't heard from him since. As he was leaving he said he would mail me a quote because he doesn't do email. He also hasn't followed up either.

Description of Work: We had a branch go through the roof. We called Ed. He had just had surgery and was unable to do the job. He told us he would call someone to get the job done. The next day we had phone calls from the people he had contacted. They both gave us very reasonable bids. Ed has called twice to make sure everything is going well. Ed had built a deck for us before. We trust his recommendation.

Description of Work: Replaced the existing 40 years old 12' x12' fir deck approximately 9' above the existing concrete patio. Install a metal covering under the wooden deck to shield against the rain. The top of the deck is equipped with a hand rail on all three sides and stairs to the concrete patio below. The new deck utilized the esthetically pleasing TimberTech design which minimizing the annual maintenance issue. We chose Ed Gause Construction because of the extensive deck building experience with favorable reviews. Ed made sure I was able to vizualize the deck as designed and referred me to a recently constructed TimberTech deck. This was very helpful. The deck was constructed within reasonable time considering cold winter weather, building permitt process, and modifications required by the Inspector. The total costs was within the bid range from several contractors. We are very pleased how the deck turned out.

Description of Work: I urgently needed a ramp installed from the deck to the ground because my dog was recovering from severe hip and neck sprains which drastically limited his mobility. I was lucky to catch Ed between jobs and he was able to come out to discuss the project one day, and complete and install the ramp the next morning! It has been a life saver and I deeply appreciate the promptness and quality of the work. I will definitely hire Ed for any future work which I may have done. He is very friendly and conscientious.

Description of Work: Ed is quite a craftsman. He spent time going over what to expect, checking exiting foundation and what really needed to be repair/replace. Always clean up after them self plus keeping safety in mind both for client and them self. I would strongly look to use there service again.

Description of Work: Replaced 14 support beams for deck and several trim and support boards for lattice screening under deck. Also screwed down all top planks to new support beams.Had three bids . Ed was the least expensive. Seemed to know what to do much better than the other's and came up with an alternative method of repair that was less expensive. Was on time, did what he said he would do and at the price estimated.

The deck and railing are handsome and the details and craftsmanship are beautiful. The deck is all hand-built - no nail guns and solid as a rock. Can't say enough and highly recommend them to all!
Description of Work: Remove old deck and rebuild somewhat larger. Also rebuild stairs. Deck and railing completely new and stairs 80% new, we kept the 3 underside frame pieces. They need to be creative to get the old stairway to work with the new deck.

 + -1 moreWhen you want quality, call Ed. I have had several projects over the past 10 years completed by Ed, including a covered patio, a fence, a deck, a storage room, and other specialty pieces. Ed's work is consistent, and of the best workmanship. My current project is simply beautiful with clever suggestions by Ed to an odd shaped backyard, I know have a beautiful deck I just love! Do not hesitate to use his services because the quality, price, and professionalism cannot be matched. He and his crew are easy to have around the house and they are very considerate.
Description of Work: They built a cedar deck with black metal spindle railing. This deck was an addition off the back of our home, and the area to build it in was an odd shape, so the deck had to be creative.

Description of Work: We had a bay window installed in our living room. This required installing a new header over the window, new windows, siding, paint and hauling off the old windows and scrap.
