They did an excellent job, we were very satisfied with the construction and the whole process. Price was competitive, every change order was explained well and we get the chance to know what the changes were and why it is needed. Highly recommend them to anyone. It is very challenging to build a house along the coast, he did it very well and he was able to build a costumed home with the challenges on the terrain, geo-technical requirement on the lot.

Everything went exceedingly well. The quality of the work, the conscientiousness of Chris and his crew and the efficiency and timeliness of the work was as stated initially and his attention to detail was beyond our expectations.We are very pleased with the work and would highly recommend his company.

After getting several estimates we selected Brown Building & Design. Chris was not the least expensive nor was he the most expensive, but he was thorough, professional, and flexible. In providing his estimate, he detailed each step in the process and worked with us to contain cost without compromising quality or design. It was clear in his estimate that he had listened to our concerns about the project and paid attention to our budget. Chris handled all contacts with the city, let us know when deliveries would be made, and made sure we were kept informed of all scheduling and work plans. Because of the breadth and height of the deck, he paid particular attention to stability, reinforcing key areas including some not required by code. Several months after the work was completed and after the first full winter, Chris followed up by personally coming out to inspect the deck for settling and wear. We had made a decision to have the wood stained by having the lumber supplier pre-dip it. When there were problems with the stain product used by the lumber supplier Chris immediately stepped in serving as our advocate and made sure the problem was resolved by the appropriate parties. During the project, Chris and his people were polite, careful to not track dirt/mud into the house, and they cleaned up each evening before they left. The project completed on schedule (even with the Oregon rains) and within budget. Since doing our deck, we've used Chris for several smaller projects. He is always very responsive to phone, email, and text messages, and when he says he'll be there, he is. We will not hesitate to call him for future projects.

The work is gorgeous, Chris Brown is an artists at his craft. He obviously has many talents. He really listens to what you want. The final product on all projects, came out better than I expected. He even took the time to give me advice on some other projects I was doing myself.
