Rick is amazing. Kind, clean, respectful, responsive. It's hard to find guys like him. In terms of price, he is at the going rate for electricians (which is really high to me but I'm not an OR native), however, he works fast. He doesn't have hidden fees at all. He will install the stuff you buy or he can supply it, we did a bit of both. He's an enjoyable person to have in your home as he is trustworthy and gets the job done. We had a lot of problems with our contractor doing some poor work that he had to fix. We've hired him 3 times since the first time as the remodel progresses. We recommend him, even my neighbor hired him and said he had a great experience too. Plus, my requirements were, someone who lives fairly close to my area, owns their own business, does the work himself and is clean and on budget.

Rick has done several large jobs for us over the years. He is very good at reading a set of prints. He has an incredible knowledge base and won't hesitate to call the inspections office if ever in doubt. He loves electricity and is one of those rare electricians who actually knows electrical theory not just how to install. Best of all and most uncanny, he has an almost photographic memory of detail for every job he does. This has proved worthwhile when there are changes requested and he knows exactly where every wire is run. It is also valuable when he returns weeks later to complete trimwork and remembers that he needed to have a gray outlet with a stainless steel cover plate for the inside of a cabinet. Pay attention to his wire management. Every wire is wire is installed meticulously without a sacrifice of speed. Rick works alone so he "owns" every project. When you hire Apollo you get Rick, not "Joe the Plumber - er, Electrician". And when you get Rick you get perfection. He communicates superbly. You will never feel rushed and he will make sure that he understands what you want and he will absolutely know what you will get. He has on many occasions brought sample products to shed light on his previous recommendations. Rick has an opinion if you treat him as a team player. Installing cans? He will tell you if your spacing is off. Need indirect lighting? "Try __" He's always helpful, never presumptuous. A warning: if you compare him to a competing hourly bid and he is higher - it means nothing. In the end he will save you money. Rick is not my brother-in-law, just one of my favorite contractors I was lucky enough to find. I reluctantly post this as I hope he doesn't get so busy that I have a hard time getting him back.

Rick couldn't be a better professional if you designed him from scratch. He shows up on time. He is respectful of the work space and cleans up after himself. He was in and out within the day. This is our third job with Rick; too bad there isn't a rick the plumber twin!
