The work was done by a two-man crew, one of whom was the firm's owner. The work was re-described (it had been reviewed over the phone when we contracted for it) and the crew sprayed in the areas of greatest concern. We found the owner friendly to deal with, willing to send a bill and not demand immediate payment, as well as twice stating his commitment to make good under his warranty (90 days). So far, we have seen no additional ants. The owner asked how we had decided to contact his company. We mentioned Angie's List and he immediately pointed out the $25 coupon associated with the Angie's List reference. We asked about the owner's experience. He said 20 years and appeared to be knowledgeable about his spray product and how best to eradicate the ant problem. Assuming the spray did its work and was applied in the correct areas, we'd recommend this company. We felt better about using this firm than other, more heavily advertising companies, who have disappointed us in the past.

We had seen carpenter ants outside our home but only two made it inside, probably through an open garage door. We called Affordable to set up an appointment. They advised us that a perimeter spray would probably be all that was needed. Matthew Daley and an associate arrived on time and sprayed around the foundation, windows, doors, and under the eves of our home. They also sprayed along cracks in our walk and driveway and, where accessible, inside our garage. We have seen very few ants outside and none inside in the two weeks since the spraying. They guaranteed their work for three months.

Amazingly, Joe didn't charge me for the service! You could actually see the carpenter ants busily doing their thing, and I think he was tickled to actually have a view of the pests themselves instead of just seeing evidence of their presence. All he asked for was a positive recommendation on Angie's List, which I am glad to do! And you better believe I'd call him again for future pest control service.

After the first spray, and the ants came back, they had to come back. They did not charge for the second visit.

Joe was very helpful, he checked around the house and in the basement. He was also helpful in giving me suggestions on how to make sure pests stay out of my house.

After looking up a number of pest control companies on Angie's List and speaking with 4 or 5, I called Affordable and was immediately taken by his approach. He did not try to sell a package deal or provide a subscription based service with recurring costs. Joe came by the house in March and thoroughly explained the habits of the ants and how his approach would be effective. He wanted to wait until May, when the ants are the most active to spray the whole house as that would allow the spray to take affect throughout the summer without additional treatments and thus save us money. He then proceeded to spray a few areas in the house and on the deck to limit the problem in the meantime without charging us. He quoted us $300, which is less than half the most expensive estimate and told us to call him back in May. He returned in May, thoroughly sprayed our house and property and charged us 300 as he had quoted. The transaction, service and result could not have been better. No ants!

Joe Daley, answered personally on my first phone call, and came to my home for a thorough estimate, within 2 hours. He lives very near and relates, as much as a concerned neighbor, as he does a professional. I like that a lot. He performed the service, within 4 days. It fell on a day, I was out of town, but I had no concern over leaving a key for him and his son, who worked with him. He even offered to and did make a second trip back to my home, just to check on a delivery, I was expecting. Joe does not deal in contract service, but rather on a single service with 3-month guarantee. I feel confident, that there would never be a problem, in getting him to return for any ongoing issues. His price was very fair for the job done, especially considering all the time and care he puts into the estimating.

He was pleasant to talk with and did what appeared to be a very thorough job. The price was lower than two others I had contacted, and he did not try to sell additional work at the time of treatment. I will not hesitate to call them again or recommend them to others.

After having a couple sunny days, I noticed that the box elder beetles were starting to show up. I called Joe, and he was out the next day.

The two men did competent work and warned me about the pros and cons of the chemical used to get rid of pests. Promised to come back in a few months if I call them about any return visitors, and to not charge for retreatment. That was not needed as first treatment did the trick. Professional, courteous, prompt, and no delay in getting them out to house. Very cost effective for the service, and No PESKY, Rip-off contracts as the other companies tried to sell me.

Joe appeared to pretty knowledgeable about the business. The price was very reasonable and came with a three month guarantee. If I ever find access to my crawl space I will definitely call him back to treat that area also.

Joe Daley answered all of my questions over the phone. After we talked he failed to mark the appointment on his schedule, and therefore, did not come on the date that we discussed. I called him the morning of the missed appointment; he realized he forgot to make the scheduling notation and offerred to discount my service by $35.00 to offset the inconvenience of the missed appointment. He came the following day (on time) and did a through job of spraying. Since the spray application I have called once to inquire as to whether I should be seeing any ants at that time, and he has come by to check. The service has been excellent.

Joe, who owns the company, was on time and got right to work. He brought with him an assistant. Both, Joe Daley and his assistant, were polite and professional. They made sure not to track mud in my house and put back any materials they took out of cupboards looking for rodent access points. He asked about pets and made sure our cat could not accidentally get into any of the mice bait. He discussed options and let me participate in the decisions concerning where and how to bait. I learned a lot about rodent behavior. He even consulted with me about a tree pest problem for no fee and that had nothing to do with the current visit. I have used this company for years and have been completely satisfied.

Mr. Daley was professional, polite, and friendly. He explained everything clearly about what he would do and how it would work. He was on time and even took off his shoes when he entered my home. I felt comfortable with him, and he didn't act rushed, but he worked right along. It only took him about 30 minutes. I have a dog, so he even wanted to make sure he would stay away from the chemicals he sprayed around the perimeter of the house.

WE HAVE HAD JOE OUT 3 TIMES OVER THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS. HE IS ALWAYS ON TIME, POLITE, AND VERY VERY REASONABLY PRICED. HE DOES NOT PUSH TO DO EXTRA, UNNEEDED SPRAYING.
