+ 0 moreHorrible. I've been told the company recently changed hands and the new owners are the ones we dealt with. Customer service was poor. Phone calls weren't returned. We were given wrong information about the condition and status of our tank and system on three different occasions. Steele replaced our septic tank in 1998, and then they insisted that we still had the original steel tank, even though they had been out to inspect the tank as part of the pre-purchase of our home. Steele insisted we had the old steel tank still even after a site visit where you can clearly see the concrete top of the tank exposed in the yard. On our first DEQ permit that was submitted, they said we needed a whole new system, but when we had the tank inspection done prior to closing on our house they said we only needed a new drain field. They couldn't keep the records straight. They were supposed to send me all the records about when our tank and been pumped and information about the replacement that took place in 1998. Well instead they send me an excel document that had all of the jobs they performed in 1998 including client records, addresses, etc. I would not be happy if a company was giving out my personal information accidentally to other clients, and the kicker is, I never got the records pertaining to our tank! Overall, it felt like they didn't care about our business. We would go weeks without hearing from them, and then we'd have to call them and see where we were at in the process. They caused us a lot of stress by giving us incorrect information multiple times. I would avoid using them at all costs.
Description of Work: We ended up going with a different company to replace out drain field after we went round and round with Steele Septic for four months. We purchased a house that needed a new drain field, and Steele had been pumping the tank so we decided to stay with them. We started working with them in April, and by September they still hadn't started on our drain field. I could go on forever about the interacts we had, but basically they filed our DEQ permit wrong twice, and we had to pay an extra fee to have it fixed by the new company that actually did the work.

+ -1 moreThey were prompt, friendly, dug down to find the lid of the septic tank and quickly sucked up the sewage. They completed the job in less than 1 1/2 hours.
Description of Work: We called them when we noticed a small amount of water in our basement around the drain, and they answered the phone promptly and promised to have the crew come to our home within 2 hours. They came in 1 1/2 hours.
