I called Chuck on 10/11/13 which was a Friday afternoon. He was just heading out of town and we set up an appointment for 3:30 on Monday after I got home from work. He was there promptly. I explained the problem in the barn and he checked a few things and found the wiring was loose in a switch and fixed it. He also fixed a lighting problem I was having in the barn because the light had not been assembled correctly. I found him to be very competent. I would use him again but unfortunately, he is now semi-retired but still takes jobs as long as they don't involve climbing.

I found Greene on Angie's list at 11 pm or so and used their service to email a contact request. However apparently Angie's list actually calls the person when they get an email so the Electrician was called after 11 pm! To get back at me for this (he thought I called him that late), he called me at 6:40 am the next morning! I found this extremely unprofessional, especially since I just emailed him, didn't call him that late. He said he was calling that early because I called him that late - I explained and he set up a time to come over later that day. He came on time and seemed nice enough. He even helped get one of my light fixtures working by replacing a bad bulb I had on hand for me at no charge. After leaving with the info to generate an estimate, he called back a day or so later saying he had an emergency in the family and could not give me an estimate. I understood this and said that's fine, but was surprised he didn't state anything about a future estimate or future business. That's fine, because I plan to go with someone more professional. The lesson here is apparently don't email through Angie's List late at night, or they might get you up early in the morning! :)

I saw the reviews for this electrician here on Angie's list after calling others for estimates. Chuck arrived shortly after I called him and was there at the same time another company was there. Chuck took the rains and discovered things the other guys didn't. His experience and knowledge was clearly superior to the other companies that had come to give me an estimate. He gave me a quote that was well below the other guys who wanted to do way more work than was necessary. I hired him before he left my driveway. He called me a couple hours later and said he would be there at 9am the next day. Chuck arrived at 9am as promised and had arranged with the power company to shut off the power so he could work. The job took longer then he expected but he stuck to his word and did not charge me more. Chuck did an excellent job. I highly recommend him and will have him back if I need an electrician.

I called, he came, he fixed it.

We were snowbirding and got a call from one of our tenants that the heater was INOP. We called Mr. Greene and he went right out and replaced the heater and did not bill us until the following year when we returned from our trip to Texas.
