Hi, I am Julia. Al of Al's Locksmithing deserted the community during one of our most dangerous winter storms. What is worse he deserted one of our disabled during dangerous weather. Al was called by AAA to unlock a Subaru on Joanne's ranch near Keno. The Subaru is the only means of transportation for Kathy, Joanne's daughter. It is a lifeline. There were raised hopes the keys were in the car and not lost in the snow. Al showed up and said that he did not want to walk through the snow to unlock the vehicle. He also told Kathy that she would have to be outside next to the car for him to service it. Kathy is completely disabled. She has a titanium rod running the length of her spine. Walking in good weather is a challenge for her. Al could have said, "Kathy, I'll need to come in for your signature." Instead, he became angry and made up stories in his head to justify his abandonment of duty. During extraordinary times, we need our emergency personnel to do their jobs, especially for our disabled. M&C towing filled in for Al's Locksmith, it took less than 5 minutes to unlock the car. Al's demanding that Kathy, a cripple person meet him outside is abhorrent. Al's refusal to work in snow during our January 2017 snow storm put a strain on the towing services, so direly needed across our community. I do not know why Al was so hoity-toity. I am sure he had circumstances that were indeed shocking. However, that does not excuse his tossing honesty aside for the exploitation of a disabled person's inability to walk.
