We contracted to have a deck built with roof and deck continue to go to garage that part uncovered Awful pressure treated green 6x6 posts put in these looked like old old wood which had been sitting around somewhere for years had splits over 1 inch in them. He put inferior cheap metal brackets attaching posts to roof which twisted and compromises the roof. The state inspector was appalled at his shoddy work and ordered corrections. He put 5 inch spaces between railing law calls for 4 inches. Put stairs up without railings, put 1inch between floor boards which standard is one nail width. Poor mite ring at corners of railing left big gaps. Wood had splinters in,was danger to feet and hands on flooring and rail. Poor quality wood was used on everything. From deck covered area to the uncovered part to garage had a step down which had to be rebuilt for safety reasons. This should never had been done that way. No railings on this area or steps were made, totally unsafe the way he built it.
