Ramirez Landscaping & Maintenance

Hired Jose for lawn maintenance last year which they are still doing today (I just didn't join Angie's List until recently, so couldn't provide a review). Jose's a perfectionist and always asks me how I like my yard. I like that he pays attention to detail and really strives to get the lawn lush and green and makes sure the bushes are trimmed. It's been a very pleasant experience with them. Jose and his crew are nice, hardworking people who take pride in providing good work and service. They're quick and do a great job. Highly recommend.

The entire experience worked great. I called him on a Thursday. He met with us that afternoon and did the job the following Monday. We were extremely pleased with his professionalism and the work that he and his crew did was outstanding.

Jose came to my house the day after I called him for an estimate on regular yard maintenance. He pointed out many things that could be improved. When he gave me his estimate, I hired him on the spot. Even though I told him I wouldn't be able to pay him until payday (a few weeks away), he showed up the next day, took care of my yard needs (including applying his own mix of fertilizer to the lawn). He charged a separate fee (also extremely reasonable a price) to top and shape my 30+ arbovitae and they look wonderful! Each time he and his crew visit my yard, they have done more pruning since my shrubs and decorative trees were really needing it. Honestly, I am so grateful that I learned about Ramirez Landscaping! I was going to contact another company but after reading Ramirez's review on Angie's List I knew I had to give them a try. Best thing I ever did.

Jose and his crew came over the first of the week to do their regular 6 week maintenance on my lawn. We talked then about the need to have my arborvitae trimmed. He came over the end of this week to trim them. They look WONDERFUL!... along with my lawn!

His crew arrives every week and performs the agreed upon maintenance. I have no complaints.

Mr. Remirez answered his own phone and scheduled an estimate that same day. He actually had the lowest bid by $20 but all verbal, no written estimate of offer or work to be performed, which is why I didn't select his company for the work.

Mr. Remirez responded promptly to our first inquiry, gave an estimate $20 per month less than we had been paying and from the first month proved that he and his crew did a more complete and careful job that the lawn services we previously hired. They are willing to vary their work by request...hand-trimming bushes, etc. Only complaint so far: they recently change the day of the week and time they come without asking us and the new day and time is less convenient for us.

Mr Ramirez was on time, and was clear on what had to be done to repair the system. He was prompt, and did the job quickly and thouroghly. Would highly recommend.

I got sick to the point of being unable to maintain the weekly mowing of my yard. I contacted them late in the season and fit me into their schedule for the rest of the summer - sometimes they come Friday evening or Saturday toward the end of their schedule usually. They are quick and efficient and the yard always looks nice afterward.Unless I get to feeling better I will most like have them do additional periodic services in the coming year. (bark dust, moving some plants, etc.)

It was very hassle-free. We were moving, and the lawn needed maintenance. I called, he promptly returned my call, drove by, gave me an estimate, and set up a time to do work. Very satisfied with the results.

We have been using Jose Ramirez's company for yard maintenance monthly for the past several months and I can't say enough good things about them! We expecially appreciate: --Jose is always on site working with his crew --Jose's professionalism --Jose's responsiveness --Jose's expertice on lawns (he has brought ours back to life!) --they are thourough and consistent week after week --great attitude --SUPERIOR service and landscape knowledge I classify myself as a very knowledgeable gardener (more than a hobbiest) and have done yardscape design and large projects -- and Jose has been so great to work with and use on a regular, weekly basis for maintenance and I wouldn't hesitate to use him on larger projects as well!

I had used Prograss in the past and quit to save some money, but my heart wasn't into it and I went looking for someone local on Angie's. Ramirez was close and good good reviews here, so I gave Jose a ring. He showed on the same day and gave a very reasonable quote, so I signed up (figuratively) in the spot. I told him I really wanted to do nothing and wanted him to do it all. It's been about six months now and he and his crew have done as promised. The yard looks great, and over time all of the bushes have been trimmed to make the whole appearance appears quite professional. The crew has showed every week like clockwork. They are friendly and are sure to lock my back gate when they leave (they have a key). I have no hesitation in recommending them.

The owner visited to see the work and give an estimate without caliing first as requested. We showed him around the yard and what we needed done. His estimate was twice the value we placed on it, but we decided to try a 'professional' as opposed to a high school or college student. The day of the work, they showed up late, and the 'crew' we expected was just two guys with basic hand tools. They did an okay job of weeding in the heavier, less critical beds, but they damaged various marked plant seedlings and did other minor damage to items in the nicer beds. They were asked to re-do much of the work at the time as they were not doing a thorough job. They did not do some of the flower beds that were discussed during the estimate and when questioned said they didn't include those in the estimate. The language barrier seemed to get much worse all of the sudden. In the end, they worked about 3.5 hours, and made over $50 an hour per person. Never again.

Absolutely great guy to work with. He follows up and makes sure everything is clean and correctly done.

I have used them for two months now and I am very happy with them. My place really looks good. I like them. They show up when they say they are going to. They are very punctual. They are so good. They do a really nice job. They come in anywhere between 1-3 guys. They work hard for about 25 minutes. My yard looks great. The quality of work is really good. They work hard. They just get in here and they work. The price is very good for what I get.

I have always tried to do my own yard work with rare occasion. However this year I decided not to take months to get the yard in shape in my limited spare time and hire it done. My biggest concern was getting my 'run amuck' arbovite pruned. I found a great review of arbovite work on Angie's list for Ramirez Landscape & Maintenance. I called Jose (owner) on Wednesday morning and he met me later in the afternoon to look at the work I needed done and gave me a very good quote and did the work two days later on Friday. I had neglected arbovite he severely pruned/trimmed to look much better, severely cut back a huge camelia, cut an edge of several feet of grass to define my lawn from flower beds, patio and veggie garden. There were weeds both in front and back flower beds his crew took care of in no time. He also sprayed for invasive weeds in the lawn and garden beds. I have several shrubs and trees in the lawn that needed to have the grass removed in a circle. Jose took care of that in about 5 minutes. I was very impressed with the raking and clean up of all pruning pieces and weeds. Jose is very conscious of leaving a clean and professional looking yard. He even mowed both front and back lawns so they would look nice when he was done. I had not asked it to be included because I like to mow and just got a new mower. His job looks much better than mine. I have him returning in a few days to fill six large raised garden beds with compost/soil and he will begin to install a sprinkler system for me in the same week. I cannot recommend this company enough. They were responsive, arrived before appointment times, efficient, professional and did a great job. You will not be disappointed if you hire them. It is very nice to look out in both yards and see them looking so wonderful. I'm sure my neighbors appreciate it too!

Their services are fine. They do a good and thorough job. I pay them monthly.

It went very well. He was very prompt for the review and estimate/bid. He and crew showed up before his "estimated" start day. Even though it was raining, they started and were well along when the rain stopped. They got the job done in one long day. The job looks very good and should last a long time. He was responsive to requests, paid attention to what his crew was doing, charged a reasonable price and was prompt. It looks good. What more could you ask? I would recommend him for others needing garden work. His estimate of lawn care was reasonable as well.

The work was done on time and an excellent job of pruning and clean up. Jose was great to work with, doing what he said he would do. The hedge looked like it had a very good hair cut.

They are reliable, friendly and punctual. They are reasonable priced and they do a good job.

I requested services ASAP as I was having a party and my yard looked really bad. My husband and I are both disabled and can no longer do the yard work. Our family members do it for us but it was needed a professional spruce-up. We talked on Friday and he came with his team the next morning exactly when he said he would. My husband and Mr Remirez agreed on a price and they went straight to work. I would have tried to negoitiate the price down a little more but we were very satisfied with his work.pit f

They come weekly on Fridays. They are very good and the owner is very responsible. They come the same time every week. He really runs it as a business. They are very punctual and just do everything.

His name is José Remirez. He does my weekly service. He does a really good job. So far so good. I like him.
