We called on a Monday and some one came out the next day. Josh, the technician, was competent and intent on problem solving what was causing the furnace to not stay on. He found the problem and fixed the furnace. We were very impressed with his work ethic.

Our furnace went out in the middle of the night and CEC was the first company to call me back immediately. I told them we had two little kids and no heat and with the cold temperatures, I’m sure they were very busy. They rearranged schedules and had someone at our house by 8am! They fixed the furnace, replaced the igniter and we had heat by 9am! The staff were very friendly and professional. Highly recommend!

CEC did a great job for us. They are our go-to service providers for furnace work. We have them work on our rental properties as well as our own home furnace, and we have a lot of trust in them.

We scheduled our first servicing for a ductless heat pump originally installed by CEC. The serviceman that came told my wife that the computer desk located beneath the unit would have to be moved. My wife was unable to move it, and suggested for the serviceman to remove the drawers first. He partly unloaded it before moving it, but in the process gouged our sheet vinyl flooring in a couple places. My wife felt bad that she had not warned him about dragging things across the floor. The servicing of the unit it was completed very nicely and greatly improved the cooling performance (we had only given it some basic vacuuming maintenance since it was installed a couple years ago). When I got home from work, I took a couple pictures of the gouges in the floor. I sent them via email to the rep who had originally contacted me about getting the unit serviced, asking if they could help with some kind of compensation. I received no response for a couple weeks, and sent another email. This time the rep replied that he had forwarded my issue to his superior. Finally, after bugging them again a couple weeks later (a month after reporting the problem), I finally got a phone call from Chris. He explained that in his view the torn floor was not really their fault since we should have moved the desk beforehand to allow the technician to access the unit, as we probably wouldn't want to risk having cleaning fluid or whatever falling on the desk. However, he was willing to give us some compensation if my wife and I would come up with a price. After talking it over with my wife, we emailed him back and explained that, as we had never had the unit serviced before, we didn't know that moving the desk would be required. We asked for reimbursement of whatever it would have cost to have rescheduled instead of having the technician try to move the desk. We also suggested they make sure to alert customers about potential risks. Chris graciously received our feedback, and issued a full refund ($167) of the service charge, which arrived promptly via check a few days later. We will definitely hire CEC again, and next time be better prepared.

The tech they sent first was fairly new and he wasn't able to diagnose the problem, so we requested their more senior person who had helped us on a previous repair. He was great - diagnosed the problem, got the part, fixed the furnace, and didn't charge us for the second service call.

Very well. The consultant was very professional and thorough in his explanation of the systems, etc. Only problem I had was that they never followed up with annual checkups, etc.

The young man called ahead saying he was running late. Good. Spent a good 20 minutes looking over the locations for the requested gas lines. Good. Never heard from them again. Bad.

We have been using CEC ever since we bought our house in 2005. We have them service our air conditioning in the spring, and our furnace in the fall. They never miss an appointment. They always do a thorough, professional job. If they find anything to be concerned about, they give us a clear explanation. Absolutely excellent company and staff to work with - which is why we've had them caring for the HVAC in our home for more than a decade now!

I cannot recommend CEC highly enough. The sales associate the visited us (Zach) was professional, courteous and explained all the options to us in a way that made sense. He even provided a proposal onsite which was fantastic...especially considering we were without heat and looking to make a decision right away. The installer was there in less than a week and got our system up and running in no time. I even had a question about the installation process and Zach came back out to the site to go over the fine details with me to make sure I felt comfortable about the installation. The technician was extremely courteous, on-time and professional. The best part is that CEC is coming back out in a month to check on our system to make sure it is running properly and as expected. I just can't put into words how great I feel about this major purchase and am SO HAPPY I decided to go with CEC.

Technicians were very polite, professional and on time. Had the right meters, tools and experience. They explained in detail what they were doing and why. I am very pleased and satisfied with the work. I highly recommend this service.

The work took an extra trip to complete and we had to call them back out for some reworking of the ducts but they were receptive and timely.

Unfortunately after a month and two emails on my part to inquire when the bid would be forthcoming, we've yet to receive one. They many provide quality work at a reasonable price. I can only say I hope their communication improves with others.

I called for a repair at 0900 and was pleasantly surprised when he called to say he was on his way at 1200! He diagnosed the problem and fixed it within 30 min. I am going to hire them to do my twice a year maintenance !! Excellent service!!

It has been a while but I liked everything. They were very professional, explained to me what they were going to be doing and even contacted me for a one year service after the fact.

They are a great company. They were here earlier this year and they also will be here this month.

They did fine and the biggest thing that stood out to me was that they fixed the problem. I had other companies come out to check it who did not find the problem. It was not a cheap fix; I think it was the thermostat, which stopped the water from being warm so I am grateful he found the problem and fixed it. I would like for it to be a little cheaper.

It was fine. They were quick. Everything worked. They did everything they were supposed to. The price was average. They weren't any cheaper but they weren't any more expensive. Their responsiveness was good. They were on time.

They came quickly that was the next day. I called on a Sunday and they answered my call.

They are very good. I would recommend them to anybody. I have been using them for the last a year and a half. I was not charged the last time because I pay once a year. I have never had anybody do what they do. They are responsive and they are nice people. You feel safe with them that their work is going to be good.

The tech showed up first thing in the AM.. (As promised) Pleasant and knowledgeable. Found only a switch needed to be replaced, not the furnace. He also check A/C to make sure everything was working ok. Took no time at all.

osh I went to their Web Site and selected the Service key. I wrote a lengthy e-mail detailing the problem and asked them to call back ASAP. The call came roughly an hour later and the appointment made for the same day. The cost, which was reasonable, was given, The technician arrived well within the appointment window. Josh was friendly, courteous, and professional. He determined that the fan motor was burned out and ordered a new one, The part would be available the next day, and he made an appointment for installation the next day. He outlined the complete total costs. He called before his appointment time and made a slight half-hour change. Again, he arrived close the appointment time. He installed the motor and checked for proper operation. All in all, an excellent job and I would highly recommend them.

They are good to work with. They went above and beyond. They provided a lot of extra labor and time just to make sure the job went well. They didn't try to dig me up for pennies here and there for their extra efforts. They did a good job. They are totally punctual and professional.

We called Clean Energy Comfort at about 1:00 in the afternoon, to schedule an appointment. My husband spoke to Gail, who was very personable and efficient. She scheduled Steve to come out, and although it certainly wasn't an emergency, she said he would be there between 2:00 and 3:00. He arrived at about 2:15, and immediately identified that our problem was a failed pressure switch, and he had the part on his truck so he was able to replace it on the spot. We could tell that Steve really knows his business, and he explained things in a way we could understand. He also told us that the two filters that were in our furnace were the ones that were installed during construction and should have been replaced before we moved into the house, and he replaced them both, at no charge, with the kind that are appropriate for regular residential use. (We had a maintenance check done on our furnace last year, by another company, and it was never mentioned that we were using the wrong kind of filters.) We were able to use our Angie's coupon to reduce the service charge from $79 to $49, and Steve quoted us the repair price of $195 up front. He also offered us a service contract, but he wasn't pushy about it. We really appreciated Steve's expertise and enjoyed his personality. Our dog loved him, too! I agree completely with all the great reviews this company is getting on Angie's list -- they deserve them! i highly recommend Clean Energy Comfort.

The removal of the old system & installation of the new heat pump system went very smoothly over a 2-day period. The guys were very professional, worked steadily, showed up when promised, & returned the next day to complete the electrical connections & finish up. We were told that the new system should cut our electrical bill in half. I kind of wrote that off as just part of the sales pitch, but it turned out to be true. I would definitely recommend the company & will use them again.

We had an oil furnace replaced in our farm home several years ago with a super efficient York Affinity YZ heat pump and variable speed air handler/back up electric furnace. That system worked great as long as the original company that installed it remained in business, but the economy happened and we ended up with another service company. As everyone knows, you need to have a heat pump serviced every year to be sure all is well and working efficiently, and it takes a highly skilled technician with an excellent comprehension of not only the technology used, but enough experience to comprehend issues that are not readily identified by some computer code or another on these new systems. Clean Energy Comfort has that technical depth and experience. Our York system has been giving minor problems, and nobody was able to identify the source or correct the issues we were having. We had Clean Energy Comfort send their technician to our home after we saw the quality of his work at another location where we them install a super efficient Mitsubishi heat pump installed (see my review of that system). Best decision ever! The technician listened to my description of the problem we were having, and like all technicians figured he had a nutcase on his hands, but never expressed such at all. He then spent the necessary hours to troubleshoot and locate the likely problem(s), set the system controls to test his theory, and then kept in contact to see if it were functioning correctly. It sort of did, but kept glitching at inopportune times, not enough to stop the system but enough to tell it was not working quite right. The technician then used the information gleaned from that process (and telling me what to specifically look for and report) and was able to identify a failing control board in the outside unit that managed the thermostat, the defrost cycle, and when back up electric heat was implemented and for how long. That board was replaced, and he took the time to get the vendor that provided the board on the phone to verify each and every setting before completing. We have now finished the first heating season since CEC's repairs with zero problems as the result of the time and effort CEC's technician spent isolating our trouble. A huge additional benefit is that after technician did the final fix to our system and got it properly set, our electric bill has dropped by nearly 30% for the coldest heating season as compared to previous seasons. Any better and the meter will be spinning backwards. We could not be happier now that our system is working as it should and our electricity costs have dropped.
