It went fine and they arrived on time. The job cost more than I anticipated it would be. The scheduling was good and easy. They got the job done in about 4 hours. The workers were very good, friendly, and professional.

They showed up the day we agreed on, called me with the quote, and I agreed on the phone. They e-mailed me the quote, which I signed and returned, and then they called the very next day with an opening for the same day! Their crew worked 4-5 hours on it and did a great job. The guys at the office were very friendly, professional, and prompt. I got a higher bid before, so I know this was a fair price. Overall, great service and I would recommend them to others.

Frank was a pro from the get-go, and always punctual and pleasant to work with. Of the 5 local roofing companies that came to give us estimates, he was the only one who had a concrete plan for how he was going to approach the project and could give us a realistic estimate. Granted, we do not have a typical residential roof. It is flat and had a unique railing system that needed to be replaced. This was a major roadblock for the other contracting companies (one even came back a second and third time with a 'building scientist' to assess the situation). We got quotes between $30,000-$50,000, and nobody was able to instill a sense of confidence that the job could be done easily until Frank showed up. ART does all types of roofs, but flat roofs are one of their specialties- Frank does them on bigger commercial projects and he was able to give us various options for materials at different price points. There are very few roofing companies in the Portland area that know how to do flat roofs, unfortunately. Unlike the other contractors, he didn't find the project overwhelming. And for what he normally does, this was a small project. That being said, we never felt like we were not a priority to him, and he always returned our calls and emails promptly. Whenever something unexpected came up, he always let us know promptly (like the weather delaying things). Our new roof serves as a large roof deck. It looks great and I even had a housing inspector see it and say he was "geeking out" on our roof because he thought it was so well done. Also, the railing system is super secure and the gutters were installed well. I have no complaints, and neither did any of my neighbors while the job was being done. Frank and his crew were neat, courteous, on time, and at the end of the project the whole site was immaculate. His estimate was very fair. The total expense ended up being more because we tacked on a smaller project (bedroom balcony railing). Frank also gave us a warranty on the project that is transferrable with the sale of the house, which is pretty rare from what I'm told. If you have a roofing issue, flat or otherwise, don't hesitate to use ART.

Frank Rodriguez brought in a crew that worked diligently and put in long hours to get this job done in 3 days. He listened to our concerns about the ventilation and suggested products and options that would address that. We opted for ridge vents and moved the can vents lower to provide air circulation that should lead to a longer lasting roof. His crew cleaned up after a very dirty job. Everything looks great. I will call Frank at ART for any maintenance needed as time goes on.

THEY WERE VERY BUSINESSLIKE. THEY INSPECTED THE ROOF WITHIN 3 DAYS OF MY INITIAL CALL AND HAD AN ESTIMATE TO ME WITHIN 10 DAYS. THEIR BID WAS IN THE BALLPARK OF BIDS I'D RECEIVED BEFORE BUT THEY ACTED LIKE THEY REALLY WANTED TO DO THE JOB AND LISTENED TO MY CONCERNS. THE JOB WAS SCHEDULED FOR A FEW WEEKS OUT AND BEGAN WITHIN A DAY OF THE SCHEDULED DAY. IT WAS ESTIMATED TO TAKE 2 DAYS BUT ACTUALLY TOOK ONE DAY ON THE ROOF AND A FEW ADDITIONAL HOURS ON THE TRIM. AFTERWARD, THEY INSPECTED THE JOB WITH ME. I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH THEIR PROFESSIONALISM. THIS COMPANY ALSO DOES ALL KINDS OF OTHER ROOFS, NOT JUST FLAT, BUT IT'S HARD TO FIND COMPANIES TO DO RESIDENTIAL FLAT ROOFS BECAUSE MOST COMPANIES WHO DO THAT TYPE WORK PRIMARILY IN THE INDUSTRIAL SECTOR. THIS COMPANY NEVER LET ME FEEL LIKE MY JOB WAS TOO SMALL FOR THEM.
