Description of Work: We used the services for a home inspection.

Description of Work: Gary performed a home inspection and pest/dry rot inspection for us. He was very flexible with helping us schedule the inspection quickly. He took about 4 hours to complete the inspections and was very thorough. He took time to walk through all his findings with us and sent us a full report via email within 24 hours.

Description of Work: I discovered Gary Holtzbauer because he was referred by someone where I worked. I can't say enough good things about him. He probably won't be the least expensive inspector you can find, but you will get more than you pay for, I promise. Since I've met Gary, I've used him numerous times and recommended him to everyone I know. Everyone has been very pleased with his work. The only time I didn't use him was because he was not available prior to closing of a sale--and I had someone else do it who used to be in construction; I wish I'd waited for Gary instead. His knowledge of construction, safety, electrical, and plumbing are impressive. He is consientious, thorough, patient, and honest. He carries a tape recorder with him on the inspection (wich will take a few hours, at least), and you get a throrough, written report including his comments on little improvements you might choose to make later that are not necessary but good to know about. If you tag along, he'll happily show you how everything works, and why things were done the way they were, and he'll evaluate the quality of workmanship and materials, too. I've NEVER had a surprize from a place that Gary inspected for me.

Description of Work: Whole House Inspection and Pest & Dry-rot Inspections. A very detailed and thorough inspection of all the systems of the house (plumbing, electric, heating) and the appliances and structure from foundation to roof. Then a walk-through to point out and explain what was found. Also, special attention to energy saving changes that can be made. A color, 17-18 page, well organized, well written report with digital photos is emailed, usually the same day. I don't know for sure how he compares on price. I think they all charge about the same.
