We are completely satisfied with the company. They showed up on time, did a professional job, and left the place as clean as when they arrived. We live about 100 miles from their location. We got a bid from a local glass company at the same time, and their bid was almost exactly twice the bid from Discount Windows. After their original site visit to measure windows and to talk to us about what we wanted. Discount Windows sent us a quote electronically. I made a couple changes to what we wanted, and they sent a revised bid. All the paperwork was done online, except we gave them the credit card number over the phone. We paid 50% at signing and the remainder about a week after the work was completed. They did all the paperwork for the Oregon energy tax rebate and applied the rebate directly to our purchase price. All I had to do was email them a copy of our electric bill to document who our utility company was. The installers drove out to our site the first morning, worked all day, spent the night in a local hotel, then completed the job the second day. When they left, they took all our old windows and all the other trash with them

The price was reasonable. They stand behind their work. They are prompt. They keep informed.

They did not come on the arranged time, they dropped the heavy window on a wood floor damaging the finish, and they installed it without replacig the rotten outside sill which was part of the bid.They did come back after a week and made that good, but they seemed to lack professional ism : sending only two inadequate workers to install a very heavy item,and not performing the job as bid without lots of aggravation and lots of communication and miscomunication and time delay in getting the window provided and the job rectified. in communication and mis communication. the price on the job and window however was very competitive, being up to two thousand less than other bids. I would recommend them on te basis of cost. 42000 less than other bids.

The workers did a good job. Matched the original trim as best they could on a home built in 1942.

I talked first to a representative of this company (it seems to be a small local company, though it may be a franchise) at a Home Show, and gave them a try. Because I needed vinyl windows which were dark brown on the outside, they had to locate the correct brand. They did this quickly and were prompt with a quote. The cost was acceptable, so I didn't get other bids to compare. The owner/manager, I believe, did two of the jobs, and a 2-man crew did the latest. They were careful to remove their shoes in the house and took care of clean-up. They did an excellent job, were friendly and professional. I would recommend this company.

They were prompt, and the pricing was pretty competitive compared to others. I had one or two more come out and they were more expensive, because they had to replace the entire window instead of just the glass that was affected. He was honest, and also on time. We haven't moved forward yet, but it was a good experience.

price bid was the best. We bought the dog door and gave to supplier, then they ordered the back door . The door was brougt to us all ready to go and the installation was timely and work area was cleaned..

The estimator gave us several options, once a choice was made we had to wait a week or two while the custom order was made up, once it was done the technician came out and replaced the broken window in a couple of hours. A nice professional job, we are still pleased with it.

They're great. On the last four years they came out on three different occasions, first they did almost the whole house, then my shop, and they had notice that one of my window had a cracked and they replaced it after two weeks. They had a great prices and follow through.

Discount Windows was impressive from the beginning. Their estimator arrived on time for the quote, was friendly and knowledgable and provided a folder with all the information I would need if I accepted their bid, including applying for energy savings rebates. Their bid was very close to the others, but I chose them in large part because of this evidence of professionalism and experience. The office staff I worked with were very accommodating, happy to work around any of my scheduling needs and after installation, filling out the rebate forms. The two installers arrived on time and worked so fast I was amazed. They were done in under the amount of time quoted. They too were polite and friendly and left all the areas where they worked very clean. The PlyGem windows themselves are okay for what they are, the lower end of the spectrum, and the tenants said they noticed an instant improvement in the house's heat retention. I would definitely recommend Discount Windows to anyone needing budget windows and professional installation.

We settled on Discount Windows because their quote was nearly 1/2 the rate of other quotes. Sometimes things seem to be too good to be true as was this case. We have no problem with the finished project with one exception: Make sure they prepare all surfaces to paint (spackle and fill holes etc.) before they start painting! Big problems arise when using dark colors and you try to patch after painting, you will have to repaint entire wall! We found that we had to pay CLOSE attention at all times to make sure that everything was done properly! We also had a sliding glass door installed by their window division, and it is a very nice door. We only had to wait 4 weeks for the proper locking mechanism to be ordered and then installed! This company has at least 2 superb painters that cut all lines without need of taping. they are really good!

A very fair price on the windows which were ply gem. Installation of windows was rather slow, they were one window short when they did them. But I like the windows and so do my tenants. Not all windows got caulked as promised. They did give us a good warranty. Windows needed to be re caulked recently we found them not as responsive as I thought they would be. I have also had the painting division do some work on another property. On their behalf they did some trim work in rather cold weather, but used the proper paint for said cold. When the job was done it looked pretty good. The problem was showing up when they said they would. Service could be better and I would have scored them higher as the products are very good.

The service was excellent. It was done when they said it would be. The cost was reasonable. The inspector came out after the job and everything was approved.

The Discount Windows' installers were some of the most professional contractors we've worked with over the years. Everyone, from the estimator to the installers, were extremely professional. They were punctual, intelligent, congenial, and tidy. We're so pleased with the quality and price of the new windows. It truly was a pleasure doing buisness with this company.

Great service. The estimator showed up when promised, took less than ten minutes. Understood the problem and told me I didn't need new windows, just a good re-caulking and flashing. On another day, also right on time, two employees did the job in a little more than half a day, leaving no trace of their work other than the clearly new Flashing and caulk. As folks get ready for winter around here it's tough to find firms ready to take on a relatively small job. These folks came through.

My house has moved because it is on a hillside so the sliding glass doors weren't square. I don't know how, but they made it look level and perfect. They were great and I have recommended them to other people.

Bid was received promptly, and we received 20% off as part of their spring promotion, so the price was good. Communication with Rachelle in the office was good. Workers arrived more or less on a regular schedule and cleaned up nicely each day before they left. They did a good job patching holes and cracks. Workers were responsive and accommodating to all of our questions and requests. Frequent response was "Sure," "No problem," or "We'll get right on it." They showed concern for our needs and were respectful of our home. Communication could have been better in terms of written agreement about specifically what is and is not included in the bid. Also could have been better communication about when we were expected to be home to let workers in, etc. But, overall, things went well, and we are pleased with the results. Paint job was professionally done, and the house looks very nice.

The only thing I can suggest for dos and don'ts is if your having your house painted change the color or the shade a little. This will make it much easier to spot those missed areas. Inspect when complete and have them do a walk through with you. Be picky. A good contractor will appreciate that. Through the entire process I felt well taken care of.
