The Home Depot

They were really nice and very efficient. I also bought the carpet there so no matter how many rooms I had done it was one flat price. It was a very reasonable price. They finished the installation about a week or so after I bought it.

It was good. I went in and there was a helpful woman that helped me with it. I am thinking of hiring them to do another room.

It was a "bait-and-switch" issue. They were having an installation special that promised installation within seventy-two hours of purchase, which is why we went to The Home Depot. However, after everything was paid for, they stated that they could not do the installation within seventy-two hours. There was no sense of service or customer accommodation. We tried to resolve the issue with them, but that did not work. The sign was still up when we returned to resolve the issue, so they were still offering this special to others. They did not have all of the subcontractors needed available to fulfill their promise, and they were not going to hire any more. They did refund our money, but we do not appreciate a disingenuous transaction.

I invested 3 hours on the phone with 9 phone calls and 49 minutes on hold in an attempt to purchase a wall oven from this store. I first contacted my local store in Phoenix, Oregon, with whom I have a good relationship. They explained that the appliance would need to be ordered from a store within 25 miles of the delivery address and recommended the Hillsboro, Oregon store. I initially requested appliances and spoke with and quot;Daveand quot; who said the matter was complicated and referred me to customer service. After waiting on hold for CS for numerous minutes, I was told that the order had to be placed by the appliance department and and quot;Daveand quot; was the supervisor there. I then spoke with and quot;Daveand quot; again after several minutes on hold again. Dave could not obtain the same pricing that was on the Home Depot website for some reason, so he had to manually key in the price match, once he confirmed the online price. I placed the order and arranged for delivery but was told my payment information with my Home Depot card would need to be handled at the CS desk. Dave was to have them call me. After 3 hours of waiting, I phoned back and was placed again on hold. This time and quot;Neiland quot; in CS told me that I could not use my 10% New Movers discount even though my local store told me that was not a problem. Furthermore, he told me that they would not deliver the appliance even though the website advertised free delivery and haul away of your old appliance. When I asked Neil about the price matching with Lowes, as they were offering 18 months interest free financing and offering free delivery and pick up of your old appliance, he said they couldn't do any of that. I told him that I thought this was misleading and inconsistent as my local store was telling me all the above mentioned options were something they could meet once they verified with Lowes. Neil stated his manager and quot;Joshuaand quot; had told him they couldn't do anything more and were fine with me buying the oven somewhere else. I believe this is false advertising as their website claims delivery was part of the purchase price within 25 miles of the store area (which our location was). Furthermore, there is a breakdown of communication as Dave left for the day and no one else in his department or Customer Service had any information on the order. The burden was on me to call repeatedly, wait on hold, be lost in transferring the call, call back, etc. Spending $1000.00 seems that it would warrant some consideration or attention from this store, but they could care less according to and quot;Neiland quot; in customer service. I guess that's the attitude that will not get my business in the future.

Home Depot did a wonderful job. They went over the whole invoice with us to make sure there were no changes, and to make sure everything was correct. They walked through the house and verified which colors went where since we had more then one color. We made a change to the color of the metal things that go between carpet and hard services. (sorry don't remember name) Anyway they were very nice about the change and didn't have any problem with it they just noted it on the invoice and that was it. The whole job took about 8.5 hours for 2 guys to remove all carpet and padding in the whole house, and lay new carpet and padding in the whole house with 3 different colors. The house is 1704sq ft. So we didn't that was bad at all. They were very polite, looked very professional, and did an amazing job. We will definitely use them again when we do then kitchen and bathroom flooring.

These are major shades. The person I always deal with is Debbie. She goes over and above to answer any questions you have, regardless of how long it takes. When I had, we remodeled the inside of our house and we had all new blinds put in, she came and measured everything. Then she came and installed them herself. Everything looks wonderful. This has been probably 6 years ago. I've had questions about carpets and we've special ordered carpets through her, like area rugs. She is so accommodating. She points out things. She truly cares about your opinion. Even if you have to back up and start something all over again, she is patient. On the 22nd, I said to my husband that if she is there, I have the measurements in my purse. If she is not there, I am going to come back later this week. She is that kind of great. I am not crazy about Home Depot I am just crazy about Debbie! As a woman, because my husband is disabled so I do work alongside him on all things, so I am pretty knowledgeable for a woman. I go in there, spoke to men, not recently, I've gone in there and spoken to men and they treat me as if I don't know what I am talking about and try to steer me in a direction I don't want to go. For example. I went in there once and said where are your single handled bathroom faucets. And he said we don't carry them. I think they do now but they didn't then. But he told me I don't want one of them. When you want to turn on the cold you want to turn on the cold and when you want to turn on the hot you want to turn on the hot. I wanted to tell him you can do the same thing with a single handed faucet. So I am not crazy about Home Depot. We will always go there.

My experience at Home Depot always goes great.

We got a good deal from Home Depot. It came up to $300 after all the credits for the washer and $500 for the dryer. I went to Home Depot on a Friday because we had been told that there was going to be a sale that Friday. However, they said that there was no sale. Then my husband went to a different Home Depot and was able to purchase the units there on sale. So that was a little frustrating. However, I’m happy with the washer except for that little miscommunication. The delivery guys were good; we wanted to tip them but they did not accept it. I really didn’t have any issues with them after we made the purchase. I will probably use them in the future if the price is right.

We got good comparative product information from the sales staff. Pete called promptly to set up a time to come out and measure. All the necessary materials were available, so he came back in a timely fashion and finished the installation in one day.

They did ok. We had some problems that they had to come back in resolve, but they did come back. One thing that bothered me was that we had to pay 100% up front.

They got a new wrench and put it in. It was a 72 hour type of deal. The price was a bit high for the duration that we used.

You can't reserve a rental in advance, so we picked it up Friday night. Got immediate service and the guy was friendly and knowledgeable. We brought it back Saturday night (with six minutes to spare) and the same guy was there. It was all fast and easy.

We got the stove from Home Depot because they had the stove my husband wanted for a good price. The service when we were making this purchase was great. The selection was very good. A worker helped us while we were looking and he was very informative and helpful.

They left the place sparkling clean and they hung plastic sheets to prevent dust from getting into other rooms and put protective paper down on the floors. We were very happy with their work and it only took two days. The people that did the installing were great. We usually find that their prices are quite competitive.

No work was performed because we couldn't get anyone to find a sample board of the carpet to bring home. The sales staff was ignorant about the product and basically rude. I was told to order through the guy who measures, but then he told me that he had no idea why I was calling, etc. etc. They were incredibly disorganized. We found the same problem at the new Home Depot in Beaverton.

The estimator was excellent. He was punctual, and took less than 30 minutes. Very professional! I also called several times with questions. The flooring experts were always helpful. However, when we went in to pick out baseboards, we found out that the distributor of the flooring we chose was no longer doing business with Home Depot, and there was no way to get it from them. We were very disappointed, and wished that someone at Home Depot would've called us to explain this development. This would have saved us a trip to the store. We have since picked out flooring through a different supplier.

Shawn Hunte or Hunde the installer did pretty good work. However, he's very messy and sloppy. Spilled full glue container on new prego floor leaving marks that have not yet come off. Burned brand new kitchen counter top which will require full replacement. Did not tell me about either occurrence. Home Depot's work overall is pretty good, however, IF YOU ARE ASSIGNED THIS INSTALLER, SPEND ALL YOUR TIME WATCHING HIM CAREFULLY!

WE JUST PURCHASED THE CARPET AT HOME DEPOT, AND THEY DID ALL THE REST, THEIR CONTRACTORS DID A GREAT JOB INSTALLING, AND WERE FAST, AND COURTEOUS, NO HASSLES.

I HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH THE SPECIAL ORDER DEPARTMENT AT HOME DEPOT. THE FAN WAS OF GOOD QUALITY WITH HAND CARVED BLADES AT A GREAT PRICE. THE SALESMAN WAS OF GREAT HELP AND MY ORDER CAME IN AHEAD OF SCHEDULE.
