Bad professionalism. Set up an appointment 2 weeks ago for Jason to come by and bid our interior kitchen job. I took time off work to come home and meet him at appointed day and time, just to recieve a phonecall telling me he was not coming on time, but was driving to another appointment and would "try to fit me in." My job is important to me, my time is important to me: please be where you say you'll be when you say you'll be there, and not whenever you can make it.

Everything was performed great at a highly efficient rate.

I was blown away with their attention to detail. I didn't think it was going to turn out so beautiful with all of the old stain that was on there. Thank you Majic Painting!!

I don't typically write reviews, but the crew and experience provided by Majic Painting prompted to do so. I've worked with several contractors on various house we've owned in the past, including house painting, and the quality of the crew and work detail were exceptional. Andrew Harris and Silviano were onsite performing the work, and Jayson (the owner) did the initial walkthrough and bid the job. Once the skies turned dry and painting season arrived, the crew arrived, prepped, and tackled our home's 15+ year paint job with a vengeance. They chipped, caulked, filled, primed and painted with smiles on their faces and were a pleasure to chat up while on the job. By the end of day 2 they asked me to go around and find any missed spots before they finished up the following day (3300 sq ft late 70's post-and-beam house)... I walked it that evening with a roll of Blue painters tape to mark anything to be fixed the following day. I found MAYBE a dozen small areas, most of which they pointed out they would wrap up the following day... excellent coverage and attention to detail! Upon final completion the third day, the jobsite was clean and they parted, again with smiles on their faces. I walked the jobsite and did a detailed inspection... The quality of edging (cutting), coverage and cleanup were top notch, with 'interior grade' attention to detail. These guys were top notch, and among my best experiences with a contracted crew, from start to finish. Hire them, they'll do you good.

Jayson is AMAZING! He is so personable, professional, and honest. He get's the job done right and in a timely fasion, Shows up when he says he's going to and is a great problem solver! All at a very fair price! Couldn't be happier, Thanks Jayson!!

We had a water leak at one of our rentals and honestly I wasn't sure who to call, so after my agent made a couple suggestions about area SERVPRO companies I figured I needed to narrow it down a bit. I called a few of my contractor connections. One of my best is my painting and remodel contractor Jayson with Majic Painting and Remodleing. He has always been so honest and anytime I needed his help, which has been on a bunch of projects, I could count on him. So I was hoping he could let me know if he worked with any of them? Wouldn't you know it he has a Servpro business that can do water and smoke damage clean up and restoration and they were so quick to get a crew out to settle this issue? The dry out was completed quickly and they checked for mold too. They did some drywall and painting and we had space back to usual so quick. I can't believe they were able to do this so quickly. I heard it takes like a month, but because they can do the restoration and the rebuild stuff as one big company we were able to get it done more quickly. Thank you Servpro Cedar Mill and thank you Majic painting and remodeling. We love the work but hope we hope we don't have to do this kind of work anytime soon. We would like to give an extra special shout-out to Nick, he was really thoughtful.

Awesome! Jayson was over for an estimate quickly. Initially for just a bedroom. We ended up hiring the crew to do the full interior. They were timely, easy to get along with/host, incredibly high quality painters and when there were mistakes - they were corrected quickly. This has been a challenging job as we were in the middle of remodeling as well and the team has gone above and beyond in flexing around work that needed to be done, materials for that work to arrive, and figuring out full days of work for minimal interruption and excellent efficiency. Would happily use Majic Painting again... and again.... and again.

Very pleased with our interior paint job completed by Majic Painting! We had our entry way, living room, dining room, hallway and office painted including all walls, trim, doors, and ceilings, and they finished the job in two days. From start to finish Majic Painting was very professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with! The painters did a great job and completed the work in the time they estimated it would take, and they cleaned everything up thoroughly when they were done. We are very pleased with the quality of work and with the new look of our home! Would use this company again and would surely recommend them! The guys were really great - David always explained things and I felt I could ask all the questions I could.We are very happy with the results. We have had painting on cabinets before with a different company and they took the cabinet doors back to their workplace. We didn't know that Majic painting they would be using our garage to set up a shop - I wish It had been made clear when Jayson came and first talked to us. I would have done a better job at having more space for them.

Was originally impressed with Jayson when he came out to give me an estimate. Was a little dismayed when I asked him about an area that needed a small touch-up, and was told,"That's the sort of thing where you bake the guys a plate of cookies, and then say 'By the way, while you're at it...' " A little condescending. Finally cancelled my contract after I had repeated problems contacting him by email. He said he gets hundreds of emails a day and was upset that I couldn't be reached by phone at my work, since that's "when everyone else communicates". If he ever needs a stem cell transplant, he might have more appreciation for my job's "no phone call" policy. Another example: My husband didn't learn until the following day that we'd had either of our children because pilots are not allowed cell phones in the cockpit. I think that's a good thing. Now have a complaint filed with the BBB because, after agreeing to cancel my contract and refund my $500 deposit, he kept $40 back for " time after you signed a contract to facilitate your project." Whatever he charged me for, it wasn't anything I agreed to in the contract. He did send me a copy of a paint color contract that I had never signed, with a note saying, " Color Selection Form.pdf has been voided for the following reason: client says mean things on yelp." The "mean things" I wrote on Yelp are the first two paragraphs above.

Magic painting was super easy to work with, and accommodating with my changing timeline. Jesus was professional & courteous and happily touched up a couple spots I pointed out before he finished.

Puff the Majic Painting and Remodeling worked by the sea We called Majic to do our new House Painting, (on the coast, by the sea, get it?) for the exterior, the interior is coming up soon. We needed someone to design and build a portion of the deck, and a bump out change order to the original plan's exterior and so we called them to see if they had a resource or referral. How I didn't remember they could do this work, I'm not sure? So nice to have a "point person" as they are licensed to be a Specialty Contractor like simply painting (not that I can do it) and a General Contractor who can facilitate the entire project. When we had some subs, Majic took care of everything, including the painting of course which they alway get with us! I cant wait to have them over to do the interior, one of the team members from majic even found a flaw in the original blueprints that the architect and permit company missed. We need to stop telling all our friends to use majic, cuz we need our new interior done soon!

Jayson and his crew were courteous and professional. Jason kept me well informed of the charges regarding the wallpaper removal. I was given updates daily. Given the enormous amount of work to remove the wallpaper, the job was complete in less than two weeks. I would recommend them.

The painting project experience overall went great. Good communication throughout. They do offer a paint color consultation which is wonderful but we knew exactly what we wanted prior.

We used Majic Painting & Remodeling for our and renovation and could not be happier. Having been through a sub-par kitchen remodel with another contractor before (to some not-so-good results), I must say I am so pleased and relieved to have finally found a great remodeler in the Portland area. My kitchen needed some major updating. I received several quotes to begin my remodeling process and decided to go with Mike (whose bid was about the middle of all the quotes) because he took the time to walk me through the entire process and his expertise was remarkable. At our consultation, Mike told me it would take about 4-5 weeks (most likely 5) from start to finish. I'm happy to say that that's exactly what it took. They made the kitchen as available as possible to our family, with exception to one day and they even gave me a gift card for the inconvenience. It was very thoughtful and totally unexpected! I was pleased to see that Mike supervised our day-to-day operations. It was evident that he cared about the quality of work, was at the project site daily to check on the progress and was always available by phone or text whenever I had a question (and I had many). Mike kept an eye on everything: Demo of the kitchen (they were very clean and hauled away the trash the same day), plumbing, installation of all new fixtures, new flooring, new countertops, new backsplash, new windows, and painting. The workers were all on time every day -- every single one of them (from demo to the plumbers to the fantastic painters) were professional and great to work with. And their quality of work was top notch. I was particularly impressed with the painting team. They really took their time to make sure everything was meticulous and the results really show. All in all, I have definitely found my go-to guys for any renovations I'd like in the future. Thanks Mike, Jayson and your entire team for a JOB WELL DONE! Next up, the bathroom!

Majic Painting did a great job painting our house and garage. They put a lot of time and effort into it and it shows. The price was reasonable and they were accessible and detail-oriented. I definitely recommend them.

Great service! Friendly, helpful, quick and efficient, as well as affordable. These guys are the whole package. We had some siding replaced on our house and these guys did the painting once the installation was complete. They were thorough and professional. Helped me make sure the new paint would match the rest of the house. They were even able to add in a last minute addition to the project. Will definitely use again for future painting needs.

Using reviews on Angie's List and Yelp, I selected Majic Painting for all interior vaulted ceilings. The owner came out within a couple days of my call, gave me an estimate and we were able to schedule the job within a week. Coordination was very smooth and the job was done to my satisfaction. The project lead came over the next day to ensure I was happy with the job, which I was. I will use them in the future for my basement paint job. I recommend Majic!

The original work had some issues that required a second pass. This was completed and the end result was good. We worked directly with the company owner and very much appreciate his attitude and willingness to make it right.

Everything was fine except the paint job itself. There are some drips and reas with light coverage. It's not Terri Lee, just not stellar.

Majic Painting did a great job. They were very professional. For the drywall patches, we unfortunately did not have all of the scrap holes, so they had to recut most of them, and did a great job throughout the house. Some of the holes were quite high and needed a tall ladder since we removed HVAC vents. You can't even tell there were holes there. I would use them again!
