The drywall patch ended up 50% larger due to methods used. Which would have been fine if he was a competent drywaller. The first issue was that he did not float out the entire new piece so there is a low spot in the middle. The texture match is horrendous, not even close and will have to be completely redone. I knew I was in trouble when he was trying to match t he texture in the front yard on scrap drywall. His equipment was sub par and his skills were even worse. He showed up to the job 45 min late but had called. Then looked at the job and stated that he needed to go get a texture hopper. 2hrs and 20 min later showed up with another employee. He was trying to train the employee which, I was ok with. The second guy pretty much stood around and watched. At the end of the job when he could not get the texture to match even close he conceded and said that is as good as I can get it. I just wanted him to leave at that point. He went out and wrote up the bill, he wrote up the 3 hrs that was the big deal and an extra 2 hrs due to the second man that did nothing. The charge for 2 extra hours was $70.00. He crossed it out and wrote no charge and stated that since he could not match the texture that he did not think I should pay it. I would not have paid it since the experience was so bad plus he brought a guy to train, not work. I seriously hope that you would remove him from your services. He can not match texture, if you advertise drywall repair you had better be able to come at least reasonably close. I would have been able to do a better job myself. Hired him due to not being able to work over head due to spine issues. Now I have no choice but to fix it myself and pay the consequence for doing so. Would not recommend this guy at all and hope that you take action in removing him. Not worth $10.00 let a lone a $100.00. Not sure I would use Angie's list again either due to the caliber of service offered from this guy. First time I used Angie's and probably the last. Regards, Tom Wiglesworth

Work was done satisfactorily and in a timely manner. Would use again. Professional and thorough including good housekeeping.

IT went very well. There was a little glitch with the scheduling that was easily resolved. The painter was very professional and meticulous. He also moved some heavy furniture very carefully so as not to mar the floor.

It was quick and well done, and they cleaned up, too.

Jason knew exactly what he was doing. He was able to save the existing drywall and reattached it to the ceiling. Then he filled the long gap and textured the ceiling. It is just as it was before the water leak. He was knowledgable, professional, competent and conscientious. I am very pleased with the work and the price (Angie's List super deal).

Jayson and his crew were amazing. From material selection to scheduling everything went smoothly! They estimated the time required for the job on a Time and Materials basis and delivered within their schedule and proposed cost. Can't ask for much more when the work was done with quality. I did not wind up using the deal as the painter wrote me saying that the job would exceed the thee hour limit. I asked for him to come to give me an estimate for the additional costs, but he hasn't responded. I'm sure he would have done a good job, but I would have liked to talk to him.

Jason and crew showed up on time and got the job done within the three hours (paint one standard bedroom.) I would use them again in the future for my painting needs and recommend them.

I got the feeling from talking with their scheduler that they were overwhelmed with the "big deal" and when they found out we lived in Fairview, didn't want to travel that far. Scheduler claimed that this deal should not have been offered to us - only to people in SW Portland. I wanted a 10' garage pole re sheet-rocked and they said we had to provide the Sheetrock as they didn't have a truck that could haul large materials (like we would have a big truck??). Written communications had multiple errors (wrong phone number, wrong install date). When scheduler called again bumping us to the end of May, I was done.

I purchased the Deal, but the service provider never got in touch with me. I called Angie's List, and they said that they could reach out to the provider so that he would call me. He did, and I asked him to come out to my home to look at the job before I decided on anything, and he asked me to send photographs, which I did. I sent these 3 or 4 days ago, and I still haven't heard anything back from him.

After multiple phone calls, voice mails and emails with no response. Apparently Majic experienced a drop in administrative support at a time when requests for service ramped up, thus the drop off in customer support. Majic is currently is attempting to correct this problem in a very positive manner, so I'm going to update my current evaluation as of 05/05 to reflect this, with a final evaluation to come.

Great they came right on time and Jesus and his partner did a flawless job and were very dedicated to the job. I would recommend them highly!

Very well - he was prompt, efficient and courteous. This was an Angie's List special we bought only four days earlier. Others had bud the same job at $250+.

Jayson and I had a difficult time connecting, but not due to his fault (just complications in both of our schedules). During this time, Jayson kept contacting me, assuring me that eventually the work would be accomplished. When we finally connected, Jayson did a excellent job on the repairs. We were completely satisfied with the quality of his work, and how well he kept us informed along the way. In addition to doing quality work, Jayson has a friendly, engaging personality and demeanor. If future work is needed, I'll be sure to use Majik Painting!

I called them the next day after purchasing. They were easy to reach and were responsive. They explained that they did not service my area. I have since had the deal refunded.

Magic painting was professional and easy to work with. Jayson contacted me right away and let me know the status of my request and timelines. When he arrived he was on time and quickly completed the work. He did a good job, he was informed and helpful, and provided some good information not just about painting but about being in the service industry. I would contact Jayson again for future projects.

I hired Majic Painting to paint my master bathroom. I kept the same color, but after 12 years, things started to look dingy, nail heads popping out of the sheet rock, hairline cracks where the house had settled. This room has several doors, windows, lots of cabinetry, lighting, mirrors, tub, shower etc which make this a tedious job. Majic took care of it in about 5 hours, glad it wasn't me.

Jayson showed up as promised, with a great attitude and performed all the work I wanted in the timespan he predicted. I will certainly consider Majic Painting again when I have more work to do in the home.

I purchased a big Deal for $99 representing a substantial savings. It took a little while to schedule a date, but all went well. He arrived a little late but had called to alert me which I really appreciated. The repairs totally blended in, both the texture and paint ! Some time remained so Jayson touched up some trim. I'm considering having the trim done in some of our rooms. This can be tricky due to the way it was painted before and he offered quite a few scenarios on how it could be done depending on what we might want to spend. I liked having the different options and appreciated his honesty and expertise!

Never received a call to schedule after I paid for the deal. Initial email contact after the purchase was almost illegible. Bought the painting service for a friend for painting 1 bedroom. Provided all necessary information for the friend to be called. Been waiting almost l month and no one called to schedule a date for service. In my experience with this company it should have a D or F rating. I would not recommend anyone using this company.

Well let's just put it this way, they came to the house. They painted and they left, yes we should have let them use the paint they wanted to bring, but sometimes my wife has a better idea. Sometimes! They painted and for the most part did a good job, when they were finished they were paid and left. My wife then came in and did allot of extra painting, some on parts they missed or just didn't covered enough. Don't get me wrong, they are good painters. But I think for us we should have looked further and longer, and found another painter. If you're looking for a House painter I'm sure they will do a great job for you! We have now sold our house and are moving to Texas, into a new house. I hope Jayson and his crew do good in the future. George

Good communication but the provider said he would not start scheduling until the week of Feb. 17th 2014. We were hoping to have it done by then.
