The gentleman who came out to do the estimate was quick, spot on, and didn't beat around the bush. I thought PDQ's pricing for the repairs was fair and they improved my hot tub, even compared to when it was new, 14 years ago. I strongly endorse PDQ!

Called the company the week before Labor Day. They told me they were booked but would call me sometime during the next week to set up an appointment. Never heard from the week of Labor Day weekend. Called the Tuesday immediately after Labor Day and Merci told me she had me on her list to call and asked if they could come out the next day and gave me a 2 hour window between 1-3 pm. They arrived within the scheduled time. The tech quickly confirmed my diagnosis and installed a new pump. He also replaced a switch. Price was a bit high for the pump, $430 based on prices on Amazon for same pump. For $285 but bit the bullet and paid for it anyway. He found another issue with a jet contact buzzing and said it would eventually fail, but said it could be today, tomorrow or 2 years from now but said he didn’t have the part with him. He gave me the name and part number I would need when it failed. Total cost was around $630 parts and labor.

+ -1 more14 yr old Cal Spa left jets shut down. Greg came and diagnosed the issue, ordered the part and had it running within a week. Greg is fantastic, great customer service, compassionate, quick on repairs and a spa expert! My 28 yr old nephew is dealing with kidney dialysis and transfusions and the spa is critical to reducing his pain. Greg set it up so the right jets worked until he could get the part installed which was so important for my nephew. I will only use them from now on. I would give it 10 stars if I could just for understanding how critical it was to me. Paul was fantastic on response time and trying to schedule me in as soon as the part arrived. What a team!

He was able to fit us in & Greg showed up only to find an electrical mystery. But he was insistent about solving the issue, searching everywhere possible for an elusive switch - garage, kitchen, bathrooms. It took some real problem-solving to find the answer - in an unimaginable location - but his perseverance paid off. Thanks, PDQ! It is refreshing to find those still dedicated to what ’service’ really means.

Description of Work: I owned a 2005 Cal Spa Hot tub and I never got a chance to use it during the 5 years of owning my house. I did have it cleaned and drained. In late April 2017, my listing agent asked me to make sure the hot tub is still workable. I did a lot of research and checked with Cal Spa’s recommendation. I found PDQ Spa Service LLC which is the best local spa service company indeed. My experience of working with Paul and Greg is absolutely wonderful. Paul is the owner and Greg is the technician. Both of them have tremendous knowledge in their field. 5/2/2017 - $135: I prefilled the hot tub per Paul’s instruction which took about 35-40 minutes. Greg arrived on time and inspected the hot tub, tested all the function, adjusted the water and set it up to run. He also taught me how to maintain and balance the water. He found two jets popped out and he took one of them back to the office and helped me order the right parts with the Cal Spas. 5/16/2017 - $88.98: Paul and Greg helped me order the two jets and they were mailed to me through UPS ground. I installed them without any difficulties. 5/31/2017 - $137.50: I found some wetness around one side of the hot tub. So, I called and asked Greg to come to fix the leak. Greg taught me the whole process how to use “Fix a Leak” to stop the leakage. He is super detailed. He also taught me how to drain the hot tub with garden hose etc.. He also measured my hot tub and added the below nice features to the new hot tub cover that I ordered for my buyers. -longer skirt for better coverage; -add extra 4 seams at 4 corners for better fitting; -cover key locks; 6/19/2017 - $512.50: Greg delivered and installed the new custom-made cover for me which is so gorgeous. It was made by Valley Spa Cover Inc in Brooks OR. It fits the tub perfectly. It comes with the center ridge protector and 8 drainage holes around the sides. Greg installed the cover locks for me and taught me how to lock and unlock it. He taught me again how to balance the water and I wrote down all the dosages, chemical brands and other maintain detailed info for my buyers. I wrote all these info to the “Owner’s Manual” for my buyers and recommended them continue using PDQ Spa Service for their future needs. Note: after 2 weeks’ observation, Greg’s original assessment is correct. There was no leakage, and the wetness was caused by the condensation dripping from the old cover’s center fold gapping area. Adding “Fix a Leak” only will do good than harm.

+ -1 moreWas told by another spa repair company it couldn't be fixed. Greg from pdq diagnosed the problem, had the parts needed, & had it fixed in 45 minutes. This company provides old-time service. Showed up 5 minutes before scheduled time, explained options & cost, & fixed it. They called the next day to see if I was satisfied. Dont expect service like this anymore. Would highly recommend them.

Paul said he would contact me on Monday or Tuesday with a specific time for the service call. At that time he clearly explained costs of the service call and hourly rates. Paul called Monday afternoon and set an appt for the next morning between 8:30 and 10 and gave me the name of the technician. Greg arrived at 8:25 next morning, fixed the problem within 30 minutes. He was polite and efficient. I will definitely call on this company again.

Took about half an hour. Very professional, on time. Has been running well. Paul followed up about 2 weeks later to make sure everything was running to our satisfaction.

+ -1 moreTalked with Paul to schedule an appointment and although I would have liked them to come sooner, they came out in about five days. They are worth the wait. Greg came and worked on my hot tub. He quickly assessed the part that needed to be replaced (something to do with the heating - don't remember what exactly). As a bonus, he happened to have the part we needed with him! He pulled the part, replaced it and was done in just over half an hour and the hot tub was up and running, good as new. Greg showed up on time, was pleasant and did an awesome job. Paul was great the times I talked to him as well. These guys are skilled and professional. Won't be calling anyone else to work on my ancient hot tub.

+ -1 moreI have an older hot tub (purchased in 2000), and we haven't used it for a couple years and decided to reactivate it again. Once I filled the tub I realized the heater was completely blown out from freeze damage, and water was pouring through it. I called Paul, and he asked for me to take a picture of the unit which he determined was the heater, and then he ordered the new part from the manufacturer. It was nice that he asked to take a picture, that way I saved on the $125 dollars to visit and diagnose the problem in person. I stressed to Paul that I really wanted to get this installed before the 4th of July to accommodate guests that were visiting. Fortunately the part came in early, and after some juggling of schedules (on my part and theirs) we were able to get Greg out to my house and get installed. Greg was on time, efficient and professional. I highly recommend, and I'm sure I'll be using them again.
