Description of Work: They performed what they called an overhaul of my machine. The price was $289.00 but they gave me an $89.00 credit for a surger making the net amount $200.00. What was particularly irritating about this was that had we seen a coupon they had in the local paper advertising 1/2 price for service, the half price amount would have been $144.50. As it was, we paid $200.00 and gave up a very good surger. It would have seemed like an ethical thing to do to have mentioned the coupon...but they didn't and we got taken advantage of. Oh well, you live and learn. | |As far as the service performed, the machine seems to work well after the service so I think they did a good job. It was the financial end of things that seemed a little sketchy.

Description of Work: Since purchasing my Riccar here in 2009, I continue to use Hillsboro Vac and Sew regularly for repair and maintenance on my vacuum cleaner. The work is done quickly and maintains the high quality cleaning power of the vacuum. The store stocks a variety of products and accessories which is very convenient. Personnel are polite, professional, and helpful.

 + -1 moreTHEY WERE ABLE TO GET THE MACHINE RUNNING AGAIN BY GIVING IT A THOROUGH CLEANING AND INSTALLING TWO NEW FILTERS. I HAVE TAKEN SEVERAL VACUUMS TO THIS COMPANY OVER THE PAST YEAR AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS REPAIRED THE PROBLEM WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS.
Description of Work: THE VACUUM JAMMED WHILE CLEANING UP PINE NEEDLES. THERE WAS A SMELL OF BURNING AND THEN THE MACHINE STOPPED RUNNING.
