Ertell Electric

These are my Goto Electricians! Very responsive, know what they are doing and always feel like I'm getting a good value(for specialty trade). I just call them now, I don't bother with bids. They won my business on a much larger project and came in significantly under what some of the other big names in town bid. They even handled a tough knob and tube conversion.

We have used Ertell's for several jobs. From simple repairs due of bad sockets to replacement of a circuit breaker box. Every time, there have done an excellent job. Their pricing is very competitive, they show up on time and clean up when they are finished. We expect to be able to send over a work order or a simple phone call and the next time I hear from them is when the work is done. They live up to our expectations!!! We will continue to use them, they do a great job.

See above comments. This encounter was extremely unprofessional. If they did not want to do the job they could have at least called me as a courtesy.

Overall, Ertells was timely, did the work they said they would do, rough wiring the whole house, and it passed inspection. They are competent. But: they really just did the bare minimum they had bid on, and when it became apparent that I (first time home builder) hadn't specified all the necessary details, they didn't bother to point this out to me, but just did the bare minimum and gave me a really arrogant attitude when they'd left and I called and asked them to make some changes/additions. All these things were my fault, but they never bothered to sit down with me at the start of the job, look at the plans, and say "you need more information on this plan. Where do you want X?". So the reason I wouldn't use them again could well be entirely my own fault, but in the end I didn't feel very good about the interaction, and would not choose to use them again. So, use them if you are a contractor and want the very specific work done, by the book. They appear to know what they are doing and they seem to be overall nice and reasonable guys. But , if you don't know what you're doing, this may not be the best match.
