Bobby's Home Repair and Remodeling

This is the 3rd time this year that I've hired Bobby, simply because he's so honest, hard working, and dependable I know I'm going to get the best work done. A couple of months ago he'd noticed that my back deck was sagging in the middle, so I had him come back and lift up the boards to see what was going on. It was a mess underneath (the original builder had cut corners and used inferior methods). He reinforced the frame in several areas, so now it will last indefinitely! He also pressure washed it for me once the boards were back in place and it looks practically like a new deck. After the deck work, he replaced an old entry door to the garage. He also took away a rotted mailbox post and installed a new pressure-treated post and mailbox for me. Whenever he's here, he looks around the house and property to let me know if there's anything that needs to be repaired or replaced. He pointed out that I needed to replace my very old hot water heater, which I did. He also noticed a large, cracked branch hanging dangerously off one of my fir trees, which I hadn't seen. I had the tree service out to trim up the tree--turns out there were 4 branches that had to come down. All in all, he's very helpful, polite, and professional! I recommend him highly and will use him again, I'm sure.

First, I want to say that I'm a 64-year-old single woman, so working with the right contractor was very important to me. Bobby was open to the idea of customizing a shed kit to fit over the generator. He came to the house so that he could see the generator and the area where the shed would be built, then we met at Home Depot and walked around the display sheds in the parking lot and chose one that could be custom-fitted. He helped me order the kit and have it delivered to my house. Once it was in my garage, he spread out all the kit pieces and went over the inventory list item by item. We agreed on which shed pieces to use and which ones we would upgrade to better-quality materials. He took the instruction booklet home and read it completely before coming back the next day with the additional materials and supplies we'd agreed upon to start work. Bobby set up the garage as his work space out of the rain and started assembling the shed. For 3 days he worked with an assistant to help him build and raise the frame, put on the roof, and hang the doors. After that he worked alone to complete the shed, which included adding several inches of foam insulation to the walls for noise reduction. Throughout the entire building process, Bobby consulted with me about any changes and told me what he was doing to upgrade the shed for strength, weather resistance, and convenience. He always let me know when to expect him each morning and worked right through the day with energy and concentration on the task. It was a pleasure to have him around! He is bright, good humored, extremely honest and hard working. No task is too small or too large for his skill and professionalism. Since it is January, we agreed he would come back in the spring to paint the shed and do several other jobs around the house. I look forward to working with him for many years to come.
