Great work. He started by taking a camera into the ducts from the vents to the furnace to inspect how dirty they were. Then he brought in his hepa vacuum, being sure to clean the wheels before rolling it into our house. He cleaned the inlet and outlet ducts to the furnace from each vent, checking that the hose was extending all the way to the furnace each time and not being caught up somewhere. He pointed out a hole in the duct work also, saying it should be repaired. He then took the camera to the ducts, which seemed spotless in comparison to the initial inspection. He thought he could do better though with another hose attachment, and went through the entire work a second time with the new attachment. He finished by spraying some antibacterial cleaner into the vents while letting the furnace fan run for a couple of minutes. Note that his English is hesitant. He can communicate clearly in English, but there is a delay and some of the finer points of conversation are not there. If that's not an issue for you, then you should enjoy his quality of work.

He met us at our home at the time requested. We discussed the type of windows required and how they would be installed. He was polite and seemed knowledgeable on the subject. His quoted cost was competitive also. Although his English was good, and he seemed to understand everything we were asking and describing, there was clearly a language barrier. Since we were leaning on the contractor to help us make many of our design choices and explain differences on what those choices meant, we went with another contractor because we felt more comfortable with them.

Armando and his helpers did an amazing job of removing the awful, dirty, smelly popcorn ceilings. Armando even found a spot in the living room next to where a skylight had been put in, where a part was sagging. He put additional screws in to tighten and mudded it over to smooth it out. The ceilings look smooth and beautiful! The bad nicotine smell is completely gone. He and his men had to wear paper suits, goggles, and masks to protect them during each step of removing the popcorn, plastering, sanding, and especially putting on the shellac primer! They did this all on the hottest days of this year without any complaint. Because removing the 'popcorn' requires water and the rooms are completely covered in plastic, the rooms become like saunas! Especially on those hot, hot days! They also cleaned up every day by vacuuming and removing any plastic/paper that might get in our way before they started work again. We had actually considered doing this ourselves and if we were 40 years younger, we may have tackled it, but this was a HUGE job and we are soooo glad that we had Armando do it! The work took 2 weeks because there were so many rooms, drying time between mudding or coats of primer/paint, and moving all of our stuff from one room to another. If the house could have been empty, the work could have gone faster. We will definitely hire Armando again to do other work. He is hard working, has a GREAT positive attitude and has a lot of different construction skills. We are sooo happy with the results! Thank you Armando!
