Pacific Coast Wallbeds

I called Steve randomly one weekend and he returned my call the following business day. We discussed my ideas and once he understood the plan, we scheduled an in person meeting. Steve came out to my house and took a lot of measurements and we swapped ideas on how it would all work / look. After a few days, I received some draft sketches on the proposed layout. After a few tweaks and phone conversations, we had what I thought was the perfect setup for our room size and shape. We wanted some extra custom work done on the desktop and Steve suggested we do the bed surround of the wallbed in the same wood to match. Man was he right because it looks awesome. We had a broken cabinet in another part of our house and I asked Steve to take a look. He researched the broken hinge, ordered and installed a new one for me! Steve is a great person which is why I chose him in the first place. Not only are his prices fair, he is ethical and very friendly. The painter he uses is amazing also (Hytone). Combined they made for a perfect installation in an expensive Lake O house!

We called when our basement remodel was drawing to a close. Steve came out to see the site. This was important because the ceiling was a little lower than standard. He presented us with many alternative materials to use. About a week before the date for installation, Steve called to let us know that the Seattle distributor was having trouble getting the wallbed hardware. A few days later we were informed that the hardware had arrived and that he would be able to install on time. Good communication! The installation went flawlessly. It was interesting to watch him and his helper put the case together. His cabinet skills were flawless. The bed works beautifully. The mechanism is sturdy, and though it is stiffer than some of the other mechanisms we had seen, it will work for us, and was significantly less expensive. I highly recommend His work.

Steve Dearborn did a great job for me! He designed, built and installed a closet to conceal my ugly heat-pump, added a small guest closet and a wall bed, all under a cathedral ceiling. He made 3 trips to my home in north Clark County.When everything was finished and installed I couldn't be more pleased. Steve's craftsmanship is superior, his materials, wood and fixtures, much nicer than I had expected, and working with him was a pleasure.Additionally, he traveled from Portland with an assistant, all at a very reasonable price. I now have a lovely loft/office/guest bedroom, and my home is much more valuable! I would totally recommend Steve at Pacific Coast Wallbeds for anyone considering a wallbed, closets, cupboards!

While we didn't install a wallbed, I had seen Steve's carpentry elsewhere and had reached out to him to give us a quote on some custom built in cabinets and bookshelves. His bid was quite competitive and his turnaround time was super quick. Steve was very thorough and thoughtful in the design process, and took a lot of time measuring, talking to some other people involved in our room remodel, and providing computer sketches of the final plan. He was very patient with us as we made up our minds on the design, and was fantastic to work with.... He's a really great person and an equally great craftsman. The finished product exceeded every expectation. The cabinets and shelves look fantastic, and are extremely well made. In short. Steve / PC Wallbeds is awesome. We are happy.

I am just SO totally delighted. Very low key, competent, excellent follow through, personable (owner and his assistant who came to install). The bed is just beautiful and easy for me to access. They even moved a bookshelf to another wall and screwed it into wall for me. I just couldn't be happier with the experience and the product.

He does the cabinet work for the wallbed and surrounding wallbed. He's a top quality craftsman. The corners weren't rounded. He did everything, and he did a great job. He does excellent design work too. It was a good price.
