Muir Painting

Description of Work: We received several estimates to paint the exterior of our house. Mr Muir originally came in with the lowest bid and wrote on the estimate that he does a "double coat". We asked if that meant two coats and he said "no". What does double coat mean to the average consumer if not two coats? That was rather perplexing. He gave us the lowest bid we received and said that it included any paint we wanted. So we did the research using Consumer Reports and the best paint was Sherwin William's Duration. When we told him that was our choice he said he would have to go up $600 because Duration was much more expensive. We did not use his services and expressed our dissatisfaction. Please be advised.

Description of Work: They did an excellent job. I have painted and know what to look for, and they didn't miss a thing, or overspray the wrong area. They were on time and on budget. One worker broke a window with a ladder, hey stuff happens. They immediately lowered the final payment by an agreed amount. When the estimate came in the next day for more, he came by that afternoon with a check to cover the difference. Very professional, and all the workers spoke english. This made it much easier to answer questions and direct what I wanted done.

Description of Work: Exterior paint job. Workers work very fast, no down time. House looks great! Pros: fast, on time, responsive to changes, return calls promptly, quickly came back to fix punch list after having a chance to review completed project. Cons: speediness comes at a price to some detail of prep work, not great clean up after job is finished
