Muir Painting

Dan Muir painting is OUTSTANDING. We have a big house that hasn’t been painted in over 15 years. Price quoted was $500 less than the other local bid I got. Once we hired Dan and his team they got to work within about a week. They were very professional and did a beautiful job and Dan was in contact most days by phone. Our house looks so beautiful. Price I paid was exactly what was quoted. They finished within about one week. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dan Muir and I would definitely hire him again! Went wonderful. Dan did the evaluation and left a quote at my house. We then went to pick out paint and schedule a time for the work to be done. Dan showed up with his crew and was able to paint the house in one day. He answered all questions to my satisfaction and was very patient. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

We couldn't be happier with results. Dan Muir and his crew of painters are stand outs. They just completed the exterior paint job of our house. Our house is not an easy house to paint.... it is tall , lots of roof pitches, shingles,lots of windows, knee braces, soffits, etc. The process from bid to completion went great. We got several bids from other top notch companies, but Muir Painting stood out. The owner, Dan, gave us a fair bid right up front, he was always in constant contact and easy to reach. There were 7 painters working on our house, they were a wonderful group of professionals....skilled and just really nice and thoughtful through the whole process. We can't say enough good things. Muir was exceptional. The owner Dan Muir provided a bid within one day of us contacting them. He provided a very competitive price without sacrificing quality. Dan was in constant contact from the time we accepted his proposal to the job completion and final inspection. His crew was very efficient and their teamwork was impressive. Dan was highly responsive and promptly came out for a quotation before all other painters. He was flexible to work with me to customize the quotation for what I needed. He quickly started after we agreed upon the quotation. The painting came out exceptionally, exceeding all expectations that I had. He covered details that I hadn't even considered. I would hire him again.

I had a home that had aluminum siding removed and needed to original cedar shingles painted. The majority of the trim was recently painted so this job was mostly just the body of a two story 1914 bungalow. The shingles were in pretty good shape in most spots but not so much in others. It looked like there was one or two original coats of paint. I felt the cost was high to being with but that seems to be the current state of the market. The bid said they would "double coat" which I assumed was two coats but found out it was a tricky way of saying two passes to make one thick coat. Prep was to include the usual stuff like filing holes, caulking "where needed", prepping loose paint, priming, etc. After a light pressure wash they did a quick pass with caulk to fill the nail holes and caulked around some windows. That's about it. I had to have them back a few times to touch up spots that looked terrible with inconsistent coverage and alligatoring. After making me feel like a pain and someone who doesn’t know what they are talking about (I used to be a house painter), I gave up. Over the last year I have found tons of staples left in the wood, some holes, some nails sticking out, lots of rusty nail heads starting to show through because they never primed the house, not even the bare wood. There were many vulnerable areas left un-caulked. There were even painted over spider nests. I would say you get what you pay for but that would be a bit generous. There was no pride in workmanship here, just a crew looking to get in an out as fast as possible.

Dan provided a very competitive bid, and given his great reviews on Angie's, decided to go with him. Although I was nervous about his crew doing our house in the winter season, he found a 4-day stretch without rain, and they got it done. The house looks great, trim work is careful, and a few small, minor areas I spotted after the job that needed to be touched up were promptly addressed a few days later. I would also say that Dan is very responsive and attentive via phone - we exchanged probably a dozen or more calls and texts. I appreciated that very much.

We received several bids and Dan's was the most competitively priced, but what mattered to us was Dan's responsiveness. Given the time of year weather can make painting a moving a target and Dan was in constant communication about his schedule. The quality of the work was fantastic. His team were professional, courteous, and very hardworking. Afterwards Dan followed up and spotted an area that didn't meet his expectations and promptly touched it up. What more could you ask for? Highly recommend.

We called them to give us quote on exterior paint .we selected from several referrals from friends too Muir painting was professional in honoring contract taking time to prep home and prepare it before putting primer and two coats of paint. They got paid after work is done. They are friendly and efficient. Five stars for quality work and service. Thank you very much from Schuld Family.

When we contacted Muir, we were told that they do not do small jobs (such as ours), however some of their workers are always looking for work on the side and they would have someone give us a call. A couple of days later Ricardo called and said he would like the work. He came by, gave us a reasonable quote, and came the next Saturday (thankfully a dry day) and did the work. He had draped covering over the shrubs and the wind had increased and caused some of the plastic to brush into the paint before it was dry. When Ricardo came to retrieve the tarps he saw the damage and arranged to come back later and re-do the damaged areas. He did this last Saturday and the job looks great. Thanks, Ricardo!

Returned my call about 5 days later. By that time, I had hired a truly professional painter who did an exceptional job. He called me again when he had not received a return call from me. I called and said only that I had found a painter.

I could not be more impressed with Muir Painting. Dan was an excellent communicator through the process, keeping me posted on timing and the next steps. The work crew did excellent work and left almost no evidence they were even at the house. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Muir Painting for a painting project.

Dan is very responsive to calls. Communication was great. The crew was fun, polite, hard working and did a great job. We are happy with the outcome. And when a few bubbles showed up in the month right after, as is prone to happen on old cedar-sided homes like ours, Dan came by and scraped and repainted so it looks flawless.

Dan Muir or Muir Painting was out to our house to do an estimate the same day we called him. Very reasonably priced for our ranch style house. They also restained our pergola. Came on the day and time they said they would, and his very large crew did a great job in one day. Power washed and caulked before painting, asked questions and made a few suggestions during the painting process. Overall a great experience. We even refered our neighbor to Dan. He went right over and gave them an estimate and will be painting their house too.

We got estimates from several companies, including one from the owner of Muir Painting, Dan. He was clear and provided a written estimate in a timely manner. Price was fair, neither the most or least expensive. We picked out paint colors on our own at Rodda Paint. Someone came to pressure wash the house, and they were out to paint about a week later. Painters were on time (started 7am) and worked efficiently and carefully. Always professional. There was one gentleman in charge, and he communicated with me during the day and asked for clarification about how we wanted things done, which I appreciated. They cleaned up after themselves, and came back as promised on Saturday to touch up a couple of areas we wanted.

We had 3 quotes for the job, Dan's and another were about the same price and the 3rd was much higher. What separated Dan from the other was his knowledge and professionalism. He was flexible in working with us to schedule. His crew came out and completed the job in a timely manner and it looks great. There was a touch-up that was needed, Dan came out and took care of it and made sure I was satisfied with the end result - I was! He was good with communication through the whole process. Would recommend to others.

Muir painting did a great job on our house. They were easy to communicate with, priced right, finished the job in just one day and made themselves available for any touch ups. Now our house is the best looking house in the neighborhood. We couldn't be more pleased!

The job overall was fair. It was done in a timely manner. The cost was good but the painters didn't prep as well as they should have. There are spots that weren't scraped or sanded which has lead to flaking already. Also contacted owner about a paint drip on the front door. He said he'd come over and take care of it. I wasn't home but my father was over. He told my father that it was a shadow and touching up wouldn't help. It's definitely a drip. I'll end up having to spend some time doing some touch ups. I guess at the cost I shouldn't have expected perfection.

Muir was the first to respond to three bid requests. The quote from Muir was in the middle of the other two. I decedided to go with Muir because he made me comfortable that he could tackle some of the more difficult aspects of the job. I’m so glad I chose Muir. He did everything he said he would do and on time. The house looks great. I’ve received many compliments. I highly recommend Muir Painting.
