Dan quickly scheduled the bid review - and even though he was booked agreed to take this smaller job. He quickly scheduled the job between other jobs and the workers arrived on time, worked all day and did more than expected to make sure the house looked great.

Outstanding work. To beat the weather Dan brought in 2 teams plus a foreman to finish in a single day. Quick and efficient, with attention to detail. Two weeks later I cannot find a single issue. Will be using him again for some interior work.

Dan painted my house and exceeded my expectations. This was by far my best experience from a contract professional. Not only was his price great, he spoke clearly and was super professional. The job was preformed exactly on time, and the quality was more then I asked for. If you want to paint your house, diffidently hire Muir painting.

After doing my research, I called Dan and he agreed to come out the same day and give me an estimate, which included power washing the house, replacement of some rotten boards, labor, and paint (from Rodda.) I was surprised to find out that they could schedule me almost immediately. Just a couple days after I signed the contract and picked the colors, they pressure washed the house and removed the rotting boards. Two days later, a team (horde, it seemed) descended on the house before 7a and got to work. I counted 6 guys, there may have been more. They were all very professional, friendly, and clearly knew what they were doing. I listened to them banter when I was inside the house, and they were friendly and respectful to each other. Ten hours later, they were completely finished, and the house looks beautiful. I called Dan the next day about a few minor follow-up tasks, and he had a guy out that afternoon to take care of it. My only quibble with the whole process is that Dan seems a little disorganized. He repeatedly called me on my work phone because that was the number on his mobile phone ID, rather than the number I gave him to call. That's likely because he answers the phone while driving, and can't take notes. I did reach some sort of answering service at one point, and they put me on hold for 7 minutes. (Once they took my message, however, Dan called me back almost immediately.) He also called me twice to ask about where I was in the paint color selection process after I had sent him the paint #s I had chosen. Lastly, he was supposed to call and confirm what day they would be painting, but my confirmation was when they showed up. He had told me it would probably be Monday, so that wasn't a big deal, but if I had assumed that no confirmation meant they weren't coming, they wouldn't have been able to paint because they wouldn't have had power for their sprayer, and wouldn't have been able to open doors. All of this had zero effect on the outcome, however- they work was first rate, and I highly recommend Muir Painting.

Dan is very professional to deal with. He was on time when he met us to look over the house and give us a bid on our stucco house. When his crew painted the house they started arriving at 6:30 a.m. for a 7:00 a.m. start time. When the crew was assembled they started immediately taping and scraping. It was amazing how quickly they worked on our two story home and an unattached shed. They were completely finished by 4:30 p.m. Cleanup was completed by 5:00 p.m. I would highly recommend Muir Painting.

Dan gave an estimate and was very prompt on returning my call. He kept checking to see if I had made my decision. And I thought that showed their interest in getting my business. He kept communicating with me about dates. On said date Matt showed up to pressure wash the house . And the crew came early in the morning to start the painting project. They were industrious and literally were at my house from dawn to dusk. They were patient and at the walk through we identified quite a few areas to fix and they fixed everything. We painted a dark trim over my white trim. Two painters stayed back to fix everything I spotted as we went around again. It reflected their professionalism and the fact they liked to do a clean job. Muir Painting did an outstanding job painting our home. They were on time, professional, and paid attention to detail. They were happy to keep us informed as the job progressed and readily consulted with us whenever there was an issue that needed addressing. We had a couple of quotes, and Muir Painting was far and away the best. We were a little skeptical about the length of time the job would take, but it was completed within 2 days, as promised.

Dan Muir's bid was very reasonable and I am happy with the results. I received six bids. A couple bids were lower than Muir's, but those companies didn't seem very professional or they weren't certified to work on old houses with lead paint. Two of the bids I received were more than double Muir's price (which I thought were crazy). Dan's crew worked hard and very efficiently to get my job done in five days. The guys were professional, thoughtful, and picked up at the end of each day. Dan checked in with me frequently to keep me apprised of the schedule and discuss any concerns. After the job was complete, an employee came back a couple days later to address a final punch list of mine (minor touch-ups, clean paint smudges on windows, missed spots, etc.) and he even found some little areas on his own to correct. If you are looking for an exterior painter that fills every pock and every crack, Muir may not be your best choice, but do expect to pay more than double for that kind of exterior paint job. But if you want a reasonable price, you want the major cracks & holes filled, want a professional crew, and good project management, I highly recommend Muir Painting.

Exceptional work! They arrived on-time and got the house painted in TWO days. I'd recommend these guys to anyone. I really appreciated many things but most of all the job was done on budget, the crew was extremely helpful and friendly and they made our home look amazing. Thanks again! Dan's crew was fabulous. They worked hard and efficiently. They pressure washed one day and painted another. It was incredible. I would do this again next time and highly recommend them to anyone else. Dan came and made sure everything was up to top notch quality. We couldn't be happier.

If you want the best this is the place. The crew was on time, very organized and professional. The crew knew what they were doing and did it well. I will definitely use this company again.

Muir Painting did a fantastic job. Dan Muir was quick to get us a bid and very responsive to our questions as we sorted through our bids. He was very flexible working in around other work we were having done on our house and timed his services to fit in when it made the most sense. They power-washed the house in advance of painting, and were quick to get out to paint as soon as the weather was good. They came with a large crew, prepped the house, and worked hard all day. The house was done in one day and looks terrific. We are very happy with the results and would highly recommend Muir Painting to anyone.

Dan Muir of Muir painting was very personable, attentive, and professional when I contacted him for a bid on painting my house. I was very pleased how quickly he was able to set a date for the job. They did the power washing one day and did the entire rest of the job on one more day. All the sanding, caulking/repairing, and 2 coats of paint done in one day. The results look pretty much perfect. They did a better clean-up job than any other large project I have had done. No problems at all. Definitely recommended

Dan and his crew were prompt, professional and courteous. Dan came back to check on the job after the crew was finished and did some minor touch up work. They did a great job and I would use them again.

Dan Muir's Painting company was fast and easy to work with. They sent a team to power wash the house in a couple of hours. Then our scheduled paint day was great. They said they would paint our whole house in 1 day and I didn't believe it. His guys showed up 10 minutes early and it was still a little dark out. They got right to work on scraping and patching and prepping for paint. They sprayed the whole house and did all of the trim in a day. His crew was very nice and professional. They didn't ask to use our bathroom and we were able to work from home the entire day with very little interruption. The reason they don't have an all A rating from me is a couple of minor issues. For example: they guys didn't remove some things from the side of the house before just spraying right over it. There was a cable cord sticking out that was cut off and I would have preferred to remove it, patch the hole and then paint it. Instead I have a painted cable sticking 3 inches out from the house. They also made the assumption that I wanted the garage door the house color and I really wanted it the trim color. They did send someone back to re-spray the garage door a couple of days later. All in all, for the price, speed and efficiency, I would recommend them.

Met with Dan Muir, company owner, for site inspection and quote. He was very professional, direct and knowledgeable of what process required to complete the job and time it would take. Provided a simple quote that addressed the job scope. Good follow up and direct answers to questions. I received quote from three other painters. Dan was not the least expensive but provided the best mix of value, attention to detail and responsiveness to my questions. He was able to book the job quickly and delivered a high quality crew that moved quickly to get the job done. The age of the house assumed lead paint and they team complied with full hazardous material collection and disposal. There were a few adjustments where things need to be repainted and his team completed quickly without any issues. He also provided good advice on accent color use to balance the lines of the house. We did have an issue with a few bubbles a few months later. These things happen on older house. He stopped by to fix them without any additional concern. Overall my wife and I are very happy with the results and would happily recommend Dan for any older house paint job.

So fast and price was more than fair

We are so pleased with the painting that Dan and his crew did. Our house looks beautiful! His crew was courteous and worked very hard. They painted our house in one day because there was a large crew to help. We would definitely use Muir painting again and would highly recommend it! Thank you!

The price was fair, especially after two bids at $4300 and one bid at $7600. Dan was available to answer all of my questions prior to paint day. His crew was courteous, fast and went over a detailed walkabout afterwards. We're happy to have a nice looking home again.

First of all he didn't prime anything before he started painting until I called him on it. When he got to the gutters I had told him I didn't want them to stay white so he tried to talk me into painting them the same color as the body of the house. We don't have a contrasting color of trim around our windows so it would have looked awful to not at least to have the gutters contrasting. I think he was trying avoid the hassle of changing colors in his sprayers. He was argumentative and condescending. When it was time to do the arbor his crew started painting over huge bubbles in the previous paint. We had to constantly be out pointing out other bubbles he needed to scrape and prime before painting. If you want everthing just painted over with no prep work (although he did pressure wash as was stated in his contract) then hire Muir.

Dan estimated the house while we were absent, and he?s a busy guy doing his own estimating as well as some of the painting, so we never actually met until the painting began, which left me a little apprehensive. However, we had many phone conversations and he understood my concerns about (and he knows the importance of) a good coat of paint, especially on the bottom edges of my composite lap siding. I was not disappointed. We?re very happy with the paint job that Dan and his crew did. Pressure washing and some special prep work took place a few days earlier, then a full crew showed up taking only one day to tape, caulk, paint the body and trim, and clean up our two level home. At one point I counted 8 ladders in use. His crews knew what they were doing and Dan did a tricky area himself that we had talked about. A few days later I contacted Dan about a ?punch list? of a few items needing more attention or correction. Within a couple of days a painter was out taking care of those as well as looking on his own and finding/touching up other areas he could improve upon. Overall, I found Dan and his crews to have a great work-ethic. Time, or course, will tell how well the paint job holds up, but the coating appears to be thick and even, and I have every confidence. Dan runs a ?good ship?, and his crew is to be commended for often going the extra mile.

Went fine other than prep work. Needed more prep work before painting. Had to come back to fix areas, but was satisfied once job was completed.

Dan came out and did the bid the same day we called. He was very competitive with the 3 other contractors that we received bids from. He checked in multiple times to confirm our colors and date to schedule the work. If we had a question and had to leave a message, he always called back right away. The day the house was painted went perfectly. The workers were thorough, professional, courteous and checked in with every little question they had as well as did a thorough walk through of the house afterwards to make sure we were happy. Dan also checked in with us after the job was done to make sure we were satisfied. Definitely would hire again and highly recommend!

Everything from the bid process through the planning, through the actual job and clean-up could not have gone any smoother. We happened to hit an open spot in their schedule and the job was completed within about 10 days of the initial bid. They brought a crew of 7 or 8 guys and had most of the job done in one day and it was completed the next day. Excellent job at a good price. Highly Recommended.

All four residents are very pleased with the paint job on our townhouse. This job was a very large one and was completed in 21/2 days, so there was minimal inconvenience. There was a crew of 12 painters here and all did a great job. We're all very happy with our newly painted home.
