They were fine. Professional. Provided a nice drawing of what they would do with our kitchen space.

I purchased a Angie's List special design of a kitchen more than two years ago, planning on getting a kitchen plan made. I had to phone numerous times to get response and was given many excuses why they couldn't contact me back. Finally, when they did, they came out (late, of course), and measured. I was sent a very rudimentary design with no follow up. I called several more times to get detailed plans and they never responded to me. Finally, just before I was to have a complete kitchen remodel, I tried a few more times this year and never received calls back. This was a complete waste of time, money, and energy. If they did not want to do my job, or this was not a preferred type of job, they should have simply told me so at the beginning and refunded my payments. It is not just the wasted $49, but the aggravation of lack of communication and professionalism..

I enjoyed working with them. We didn't end up using their plans, because we did not have the money to go ahead, but they gave us good plans. There were no additional charges, they completed what they said they would for the money.

They came in and measured my kitchen and gave me a 3D rendering, we got a virtual look at what the kitchen would be like when they finished. They were really nice. It was exquisite to see what my kitchen would look like in the future and have a long term projection for the work.

Although we did not use further services, they were very professional and gave us some good ideas to proceed with our remodel.

The gentleman who came was very creative in his thinking and I really appreciated that he could think outside the box. He listened to my ideas and made appropriate suggestions that fit with what I was planning. They were on time and very good about being there for me. I felt like they went above and beyond. The estimate was very reasonable and I wanted to hire them for the work. We couldn’t continue the project due to health issues, but we are hoping to pick it back up at a later date.

Initially I saw potential in the contractor, however, complete lack of responsiveness was both puzzling and non-professional

After researching for a cabinet builder we chose to work with Grada, Inc. First of all the price was competitive, though not the lowest.. Experience tells me that cheapest does not neccesarily relate to the best. The main reason we chose Grada was the professionalism of the owner/bidder Slavic. Even though our project was quite small compared to much of the work his company does, Slavic spent the time listening to our concerns and then offered suggestions/options, after which he e-mailed videos of the two choices we came down to. He never tried to oversell the project we had in mind but with his suggestions we got exactly what we wanted. The work was excellant and matched what he promised. Again, Slavic invested his time wth us and never made us feel pressured or that we were minor clients. The project was completed on time as promised. He even followed up a couple of weeks later to see how we were enjoying our new cabinet. I would use him again and would highly reccommend Grada, Inc. The key word here is Professional.

Great. They were very responsive and made edits to the plans a few times to incorporate my needs.

Grada came out and measured the bath and looked at the rest of the house to get a feel for my style. Sent me the results..they did not give me a "3D" plan. What I got was a picture that could not be manipulated. No details about what was in the picture that was presented. And did not fit my style at all.

I bought the deal for the 3d rendering for our master bath remodel. The couple came out and was very professional. They had lots of ideas, and really listed to our needs. Unfortunately we never redid the bathroom. They emailed me several times, and I just did not have time to respond. The limited interaction I had with the owners was great, and I would contact them again when and if I redo the bathroom,

From start to finish my experience with Grada was pleasant. When I purchased the coupon I was concerned I might just have purchased a sales pitch for a remodel but that definitely was not the case. I appreciate that our interaction was exactly as advertised - the preparation of a 3-D plan for me to consider in a future remodel. All in all a very pleasant and professional experience. And I love the plan!

UPDATE: After reading my review Grada contacted me and apologized for the communication breakdown and not supplying the additional promised drawings. They refunded the money I paid for the service and were very nice about it. Speaks a lot to their integrity and professionalism!

They initially sent me a questionnaire to assess my needs, so they understood what I was looking for before they even got to the house. While looking at the kitchen, they suggested various ideas that were very creative and exciting. They also listened intently and respectfully to my needs. I felt my needs were conveyed without feeling rushed. They said the plans would be ready in a week and they were. The plans are professional and beautiful. I really enjoyed working with both of them and look forward to a continued partnership. I wish them both much success.

After purchasing the coupon Katya sent us a little email questionaire about what we wanted from the design and asked us to gather some photos of bathrooms that we liked. About a week later Katya and her husband Slavik came by and took measurements and we discussed what we were hoping to accomplish with the remodel and what was and was not possible in the space. Katya spent some time with us looking at photos of bathrooms that we liked. About a week later they sent us the design. It was just what we had hoped for. They did a great job of translating our desires into a design. About a week after that we got an estimate from them for the work. We then spent a few weeks going back and forth with specific ideas to refine the project. They were very helpful and prompt in answering all our (numerous) questions. We decided to wait to do the remodel when we can afford to use nicer finishes.

It worked up pretty well. The people were very thorough, but it took them quite a while to respond to questions and changes we wanted to make before we got the final 3D. The people were very nice, but I probably would not use them again. They were very personable. The seemed to be very thorough when they came out to the house, looked at the space, but I felt after that the ball was dropped. They asked us for a budget for the remodel and we never remodelled anything before, so we really had no idea that should the budget be 50,000 or 10,000, we even had no idea how to approach building a budget for that. We went back and forth with the e-mails about this. They really did not offer us any help building that budget.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for Grada to do a kitchen design and provide me with 3D plans. I contacted Katya, one of the owners to set up the appointment and she gave me a thorough questionnaire to fill out so that they can have a good understanding of what the homeowner wants in a remodel. I thought this was particularly helpful for me. Most of the communication was via email which was fine with me. Also, I had just recently discovered the "Houzz" app and Katya was familiar with it and I was able to email her my "ideabook" of favorite kitchen designs which also helped them come up with a design for my planned kitchen remodel. When she and her husband (I'm forgetting his name) came to my home, they took pictures, measurements, asked questions and then about two week later I got two sets of plans. About 3 wks after that I got my 3D plans which were great to really be able to get a sense of what my new kitchen would look like. Katya was even willing to make a few changes to the 3D plans that I asked for.

Great. They were a little busy but they told me upfront what their timelines were and they hit them on the head so I really couldn't complain.

Katya and Slavik were very professional. They were prompt in their correspondence and arrived on time at our home. They let us know their time line for the follow up work and kept to it. They asked for feedback on the floor plan before they continued on to provide the 3-d model. The models were consistent for what we asked for and were high quality. The added lighting and cabinetry assisted with allowing us to visualizing the possibilities for the bathroom. The team’s service was courteous and we can recommend Grada.

Grada was anxious to provide the service purchased. They contacted me to schedule a time to meet and arrived on time. While Katya talked to me about my ideas/wants/dreams, Slavik was busy taking measurements and assessing plumbing needs. The promised design was returned to me in the time frame promised and incorporated the design elements we had talked about. I am very happy with their services.

They did all that and we are discussing doing the project now. I have a favorable impression of them so far. I have seen nothing to indicate they are less than great. We are discussing what will be done and how much. I would recommend them. The quality of the drawing was excellent.

He was very informative and listened carefully to what I wanted. I felt that there were many barriers to increasing the size of my bathroom as the house was built in 1928 and the master bedroom/bath is upstairs with the roof line minimizing many options. I felt that received more than 49.00 worth of information. When he arrived he took all the necessary measurements and before leaving let me know when he would get back to me. He provided the drawings within two weeks as he indicated he would. The job is going to be a little more than my current budget allows but I plan to use GRADA to do this remodel when I am ready.

KITCHEN REMODEL: The kitchen project/remodel beginning in early May and was completed 7 weeks later. One week longer than expected. They did a fabulous job. It is very beautiful , and I felt they listened to our ideas, and incorporated them. They said that we were more involved in the design decisions then many customers, and that is what we preferred. But they often design and implement with less input. . They arrived in the mornings and worked most days until 5PM. There were a few weekend days Slavik came in to finish up jobs. There was a paint product problem that was resolved by Slavik. He coordinated all the subcontractors for plumbing, electricity , etc. He uses certain individuals, who he trusts to do superior work. They were careful with our house and put down cardboard and tarps on the floors. They sealed off the rooms with plastic to contain most of the dust. The kitchen was completely remodeled , down to the drywall and studs. They stayed on the original budget. However , we expanded the work such as adding extra lights/ cans from the original bid , and we were charged extra for that. We expected there to be some additional charges and we had planned for it. They specialize in woodwork, they built all our custom cupboards in their workshop . They then custom fit the cabinets into the spaces. They placed walnut accents as part of the design and coordinated it with a large slab of 3 inch walnut on our island. The details are charming. We have granite , new applicances, new lighting , and new kitchen sink, etc. We had the kitchen and entry halls wood floors stained and refinished. The kitchen work had to stop for those 3 days. I highly reccommend their work and I would use them again.

Slavik and Katya came out to our home and spent close to 2 hours working with us, taking time to listen to what we did/didn't like about our current kitchen, what our goals and priorities were for any remodel we do, looking at pictures we'd collected of kitchen designs/elements we really liked, etc.. They made a point to ask questions, so that they were as clear as possible about what we were looking to do. It was obvious that they don't push their customers through a standard, impersonal process in order to arrive at a new design. They truly listen and HEAR what each unique customer is looking for, then do everything they can to put that vision into a workable plan. Slavik was great to talk to about the various aspects of a kitchen remodel. From cabinet styles / materials, to load-bearing wall work, to optimal spacing in the kitchen to maximize "flow", he clearly knows what he's doing. And I really appreciated his sensitivity to keeping with the style of our 1911 home; he made several suggestions to help us get the conveniences we wanted without sacrificing the period style. And Katya was also fantastic to work with. While Slavik was measuring every conceivable part of our kitchen / dining room, Katya was working with me to figure out what sorts of design elements we wanted to include: colors, cabinet features, tile preferences, counter colors / materials...all sorts of things that eventually went into the design they delivered. Even after they left, I was able to send her some pictures of things that we liked, which she incorporated into the design. As I mentioned, we still have several bids left to come in, and it's not 100% clear yet what the exact bid is from GRADA (they said they'd need to get the electricians and plumbers in, as well as an engineer to look at our load-bearing wall, before we can get a detailed bid), but I have been very impressed by both Slavik and Katya, so far, and they've made it clear that they understand our budget, and have planned accordingly. I know that GRADA does high-quality work, but now I have a very strong feeling that they'd be great people to work with, too. And that's a HUGE factor when you're looking at such a big project!
