Grout Genius

Arrive right on tome and between Brian, the owner, and Shane, they spent about 9 man hours working very meticulously. The grout was very dirty and stained, and when they finished, it looked better than when it was first installed. These folks are really good.

Brian was excellent. He arrived on time for both the estimate and work visits and after removing existing tile, built us a disguised tiled access door to allow future easy access to the tub plumbing fixtures. He was polite, respectful of our house (wore booties over his shoes) and followed through efficiently on his idea of constructing an access door. His work was excellent. He also cleaned the grout in our tiled shower and did a great job. Will definitely hire again for any future tile work as well as to clean our shower tile grout .

The Grout Genius was scheduled to come to our house in the afternoon to give us an estimate for grout work in our bathroom and kitchen. We waited for several hours past the time of the appointment. He never called and he never came. We haven't heard from him since. We had the work done by someone else.

Brian initially came to our home and gave us a bid for the work. I knew the price was very fair, and after the Angie's new customer discount, it only got better. Brian is very professional, courteous, and punctual. Approximately 9 mos. ago, I had another company service the shower, and it was a very poor job. I just joined Angie's list, found Brian, and called him based upon prior customer reviews. I also checked with the Oregon Dept. of Labor, and Brian gets an A+ from them. If not done properly, and on a regular basis, a tile shower can cost you a load of money to replace or repair - we are very happy that we found such a professional.

The Grout Genius representative was pleasant, professional and very organized. He arrived on time for the first meeting to assess the grout problem. Before leaving he provided us with a written job description and cost. He also provided in writing the scheduled date and time of the proposed work. All information required to do the job was discussed and put in writing. We were quite impressed with how he presented himself and his service. Approximately one month later he arrived on time as promised to complete the following work: In the bathroom shower stall he removed grout and caulking then regrout , sealed and recaulked. In the master bathroom and the kitchen he did the same thing along the backsplash and around the sinks. We were amazed at the results of his work. We had no idea what a difference it would make on the appearance of the bathroom stall, kitchen and bathroom sinks. Saying that the difference was stunning would not be exaggerating. Needless to say, we were thrilled with him and his service. We would not hesitate to use his service again in the future .

)Brian gave us an estimate, returned 6 weeks later, did the work as discussed, collected his fee and was on to the next job. If all contractors/tradesmen were as good as Brian, remodeling would be fun and easy.

Floor looked great. Shower grout did not improve after the cleaning. We contacted Grout Genius about it. He came back and replaced all grout and sealed it at no additional cost. Overall great service.

I am moving and needed the grout cleaned in a bathtub surround, kitchen counters and the tile floor on my front entryway. I didn't know anything about providers of grout repair so I went to Angie's List where I found Brian. He came by for an estimate and was really professional and nice and we agreed on a price and a date to do the work about 2 weeks into the future. Brian showed up as promised on time and ready to go at 8am and continued until 3:00pm or so. He did a fantastic job and I'm certain the money we spent with him will be worth it when our house goes on the market. It is so clean and fresh looking! Brian was a pleasure to have around and all work was done quickly, thoroughly, and looks great.

He was on time, worked quickly, left the space clean, and the price was more than fair. We were kicking ourselves for not having this done sooner. We need all of our bathrooms and laundry room done as well... we'll be calling back soon!

The gout genius did a great job. All work was performed timely and on budget. The work quality was a+. The only negative I can report is he used a gray colored grout in the shower room, and the color does not match the tan tile/travertine.

He showed up on time. It is a one-man operation and he does a very nice job with showing up and doing what he says he is going to do. He also repaired one of our broken tiles when I separated them apart. Compared to the three people that I talked to, his price is competitive and he was the available one. He gave me a bid eight months before hand and stood behind his bid. He did a nice job but there were some sections on the outside that he did not take care of.

Our shower was installed more than 20 years ago. We needed to replace some of those tiles and the grout. The Grout Genius helped us to select the most affordable, available options. He advised us that we could obtain the older tiles - most of them at Color Tile - when another grout person had said it couldn't be done. Incidentally, the folks at Color Tile rave about the GG. He was a courteous, hard worker who cleaned up after himself.

He arrived for appointments right on time, did everything he said he would do, completed the work within the time estimated, cleaned up the area when finished. And did a neat, professional job. It was a pleasure to do business with him.

I called Brian and told him we needed a second opinion on a job that was in progress by another contractor. It was concerning a moisture problem in our upstairs shower and I wanted to be sure that we didn't need major adjustments to a possibly simple problem. Brian came out to our house that very afternoon, looked at the problem, told us what he had experienced with problems just like this one, and how to proceed. He was very knowledgeable, very professional, and he really knows his business. I offered to pay him for his time and travel and he said it wasn't necessary, even upon my insistence. If we have need of grout replacement services in the future, we would DEFINITELY hire Brian, no question.

He was very good. He told me exactly what he was going to do. He was very professional and I had no complaints. He even came in $30.00 under his bid.

I made a request for service via the Grout Genius website on a Saturday evening and received a call back on Sunday. They came out to give us an estimate a few days later, and then scheduled the work for about 10 days after that. The price was reasonable, the workman was on time, and the estimate was accurate. Overall very satisfied.

He did a beautiful job of cleaning and sealing the grout in our shower. He gave us lots of free information on tile and granite care. He was very friendly, knowledgable, and willing to come late to get the work done on a deadline. Would highly recommend him. : )

Although his finished work was good. He wasn't able to match my existing tile grout color with the caulk color. He had booked another appointment over mine and the other client called while he was working for me to ask where he was. I happen to know the other client and after rescheduling he said that Grout Genius did a good job for him. Incedentally he spent a lot of time on the phone.

Company rep arrived on time and work was completed in reasonable time. The job site was left in clean condition. Workman was pleasant and courteous to our tenant.

We have 5 bathrooms, 3 of which had stained and chipped grout. The grout hadn't been worked on in 16 years. Brian was thorough, neat and even made the surface on one shower safer by adding a special coating.
