They were very friendly and nice. They were prompt and I was impressed with them. While I ended up going with another service provider, I would still recommend Sunshine Painting.

They did a good job but Paul is not in touch with his people at all. He comes out and does a bid and that is the last time you see him. He sends a couple of somewhat English speaking people out to the house and they somewhat understand what you try to tell them. They did do a good job. They had to rework part of the house because they painted on a day it rained and I had asked them not to do it. When it was all said and done, they got it done right. I was really disappointed with Paul not keeping track of his people and visiting the job or not seeing the job when it was finished. I expect he makes a lot of money because he has 7 crews running around doing that. The job was done right but part was done over. It looks good. I just didn't like that he had no contact after he did the bid. The price was average. They were delayed but he called. Everything is done through his wife. He will not call and he takes himself out of the picture once he gives the bid. He also did the pressure washing but he refused to get up on the roof. He said his guys would take care of it and wipe down the gutters when they came to paint.

I am very pleased with the results. After Paul the owner came to look at the job and give me a written bid he sent me informatiom about his business and pictures of his contractor license, lead learning center which he attended,etc. I was very impressed. Esteban and Cesar who did the painting were very professional and did a beautiful job. I would definitely recommend Sunshine Painting.

We weren't able to go with them because of the price. They were extremely knowledgable. They gave insights on what other painters could not. They were fully licensed and bonded to work in my area. They were prompt, they would call back within a few hours. They came out quickly to give us the bid. We have an older home, we would have loved to used them. I would trust them to follow through with everything they said they would do. Their itemized report was so professional and thorough. They were very impressive.

Though I did NOT accept the bid for the paint job on our condo, Sunshine Painting was the MOST professional and responsive of all the companies I called. I called and left and message about getting an estimate and within a half hour a lady called me back to set up an appointment. I called on a Friday and someone would be out on a Monday morn to do the estimate at 8:00 AM. He was there at 8:00 am Monday morning. His name was Paul and he was the owner of the company. He did a walk-around and said he would get me an estimate in a day or two by email. Well I had the estimate that very evening. It was the MOST concise and complete estimate I have ever had. He told what the company would do in the way of prepping, painting and cleanup. There no doubt in my mind, a paint job do this this man and his company would be PROFESSIONAL. Not only that, they ALSO sent me a written estimate in the mail. That is good service. Once again, though I didn't use them, they will be on my list for future paint jobs that might arise.

I was barely involved. The company did a color match to my trim. A crew showed up to prep the house one day. Three days later a painting crew showed and did their job. Everything was neatly accomplished. Looks great.

The work crew was extremely professional, paid great attention to detail, and cleaned up after itself. Ultimately, they did a fantastic job for an excellent price. The house looks great thanks to them.

They did a good job. They were on time, worked very hard, and cleaned up after. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was that the owner did not come check the work after the men were done, and I did not receive a receipt or even an email 'thank you' after submitting our payment.

It started with Angie's list for providers and I thoroughly read the reviews and looked at what they had done. From the moment the estimator arrived until the final clean up, I was impressed with the professionalism and quality of work. I did not go for the lowest bid as I wanted someone i could rely upon to do it right. Our home was 35 years old with vertical cedar siding a lot of ttrim and several deck areas. In the past, there had been some poor applications and there was a lot of peeling, boards loose and areas in need of repair. Once I had the bid, there were no surprises and no "extra's because we didn't know it would take so long" The quality of work was outstanding and the clean-up was to our liking. The wrokers were prompt, courteous and kept us informed when weather didn't cooperate. Perhaps my most important footnote is that after they were paid in full i discovered a small area that required clean-up attention and I was contacted immediately to remedy the issue. We were very pleased with the job and would recommend this firm highly!

I called Sunshine Painting to get a quote on cleaning, prepping, and painting the trim on the exterior of the house. Samantha was prompt in returning my call and scheduling an appointment for the bid. Her husband, Paul, came to evaluate the house and provide the bid. We found their bid to be very competitive and decided to offer them the job. From the very start, we were impressed by their prompt communication. Samantha would call to remind us of our appointment, or to let us know when the workers would be able to get started on the job. She made sure to keep us in the loop. She gave us options for paint colors and they were able to match the trim to the exact color we requested. The worker who came out to do the work was hard working and did a very good job. He prepped the area very well and did a decent job cleaning up after himself. The project was delayed unfortunately due to weather, no fault of Sunshine Painting, but we were surprised at how quickly they were able to get us in the schedule and get our project done. We are very happy with their work and would not hesitate to call on them again for future painting needs.

Sunshine did an excellent job. The owner, Paul, gave us a contract form that was very thorough and well written. It was the best contract form that we received from any of the companies that gave us bids. We had some specific requests and Paul was very happy to accommodate our requests and to add those items to the contract. We had a trip planned, and Paul managed to schedule to job to be completed before our trip. Paul did the power washing. He was very thorough and careful. We have a lot of plantings around the house and he was careful to protect them. The power washing was done in just a few hours. Then the house was allowed to dry for two days, and it was painted over the space of three days. Paolo and Odi did the painting. We liked them very much and were very impressed with their work. They were very careful in masking before painting. Paolo did the spray painting, and he is expert at it. There were no drips and no spatters on the decks. Odi did the trim painting by hand, and did a beautiful job. They did a thorough job of clean up. They were always polite, cooperative, timely and professional. The only issue we had with Sunshine is that the owner is not always prompt in returning phone calls. We mentioned that to him, and he was more responsive after that. We love the way the house looks. This was the easiest, more problem free house painting we have ever lived through. It was a pleasure to watch the job go so smoothly.

The quality of their painting is probably good but the receptionist will drive you crazy. I had send them an email stating exactly what I needed, stating I lived in Denver Colorado now, listing the address of the house, my phone number and stating that the house was now vacant since no tenants had moved in yet. The receptionist called me back and asked for the address, when I could meet them, and my phone number. All of this information was in the email I had sent them, and how exactly did she call me without having my phone number? I also mentioned in the email that I do not live in the area where the property is. Two days later I got an estimate to paint the entire house. The email had instructions for only the specific areas I wanted painted, not the entire house. I only wanted the front porch and 1/4 of the left side painted. In the end, everyone?s time was wasted because the receptionist never passed on the right information. The estimate seemed good, it simply was not for what I asked for and Sunshine painting missed out on what would have been good paying work.

Paul is awesome.. very punctual and very professional. We didn't even feel that work was happening outside the house.. no hassle. We got a good deal since we approached in the low season, but the price was worth it.

Couldn't get past the poor presentation of the receptionist. Even though some of the reviews included what I would call "touch up" painting, I was told they don't do "touch up" painting. I called back and explained further what I wanted (wood repairs painted, new trim, a couple of wall sections etc.) Still couldn't get past the receptionist's "check list" of 20 questions after she said she would send some one out. I gave up and told the receptionist that I would call someone else.

They were puntual and on time. They did a great job.

Their bid was good, it wasn't real high or real low. They did a good job and were on time. It was good service and the work was done very well.

We used Sunshine Painting to perform a full exterior paint job (three colors) of our Inner SE bungalow, as well as some minor siding replacement. From the initial estimate we received from Paul we were very impressed with his professionalism. Of the four bids we received he was the only one to provide samples of his company's work, letters of reference, and copies of all his licenses, insurance, etc. They were very accomodating of our tight timeline, moving our project up on their calendar at our request. My wife and I have very high standards and the two man crew of Paolo and Cesar worked very quickly, frequently staying late to ensure the project was done to our satisfaction. When the scope of the siding replacement grew beyond everyone's initial expectations the entire Sunshine Painting crew went out of their way to accomodate this without significantly extending the timeline for completion of the project. Overall, our experience with Sunshine Painting could not have gone any smoother and we have already contacted them again for some future interior painting projects.

Had to have them re-grout and paint over one side of house. Which they did promptly. As with any contractors work it pays to inspect before you pay. They offered a very reasonable price for upgrading the paint which we took at advantage of. Talk with the owner about any problems, do not try to talk to workers.

Very well took a while to get to my job but when they started they worked about 4-5 different days to get it right.

The power washing of the vinyl siding was meticulously well done. The painting of the facia trim, soffits, back decks and front stairwells also was flawlessly and exceptionally well done. From start to finish (planning and coordination of the project, scheduling of the work, performance of the work) the project went very smooth. This is an exceptionally great company with which to do business.

Overall, we were pretty happy with Sunshine and their process, but if you work with them, keep in mind that just because they have a high Angie's List rating, they aren't perfect and you will need to be proactive in order to be sure you get what you want. Particularly, the start date kept getting pushed out and I didn't find out about this until I called to inquire (two separate times). Also, I would suggest you continually check the work in progress to be sure you like the choices they are making. Having said that, Paul is very good and the overall value we received was quite satisfactory.

Estimate process went smoothly.

Paul is an incredibly professional and pleasant person to work with. When we got estimate for the work from different companies; his price wasn't the lowest. After considering all our options, we decided to go with him because of his professionalism and work ethic. He was prompt in answering out questions and easy to reach (personal cell phone) at all times. When we finally agreed to go forward with project, he accommodated for our need to get it done quickly (he himself came out to get the work going along withe crew). The end result is fantastic. The power wash alone had made the house look like a freshly painted one. We picked out the color in consultation with him; we could not have been more pleased with the outcome. He recommended that we get small samples of different colors and paint them to see exactly which one we liked. Sure enough, the final one we chose would not have been on our radar had we not gone through this exercise. The crew worked really h****** getting this job done on timely fashion. There was a deck surface we had opted to not get painted and did not think much about whether it impacted the overall project or not. When we handed the check at the end of the job, to our surprise Paul pointed out that we had overpaid and gave us a reimbursement for the difference. This was a pleasant surprise, which he did not have to do, but was appreciated greatly. We very much strongly recommend Paul and his crew for any paint job.
