Paul was very good about keeping me updated and sticking with his promises and projections, although the schedule slipped a little before it was all done. He had no problem with my choice of low-VOC paint. When the time came, they did the work very quickly. No complaints.

Paul was very professional and thorough, and sent a clear and reasonable bid. One of three estimates received, we selected a company with more references in our area.

Paul was very prompt in returning phone calls and providing the estimate. He provided references and a copy of his CCB license. His crew was prompt, polite, and neat. They did a good job on the house and took only two days!

First of all, Paul is a friendly and knowledgeable person, very easy to communicate with, and is truly concerned with your needs and specific desires. We went over each square inch of our large home, built in 1927. There was a lot of prep work needed and he knew exactly how to approach each area. Initially, the two man work crew was not on the same page as Paul and myself. Paul and I both agreed that too many shortcuts were taken, and it was not acceptable for the result we both were looking for. We had a few rain delays, but the crew came back with the right attitude and proceeded to do the job correctly. Paul did come back to the site periodically to check on the crew, but we decided to check on their daily progress ourselves. The crew was very receptive to our instructions and promptly carried them out. My wife and I both realized that we had a much larger "hands on" role than expected, but in the end, we have a beautifully painted home we can be proud of.

Unlike other bidders for this job, when Sunshine did their estimate they came with copies of their licenses and insurance, the usual leaflet on what to do if you get a bad contractor, and endorsements from happy customers (including contact information) which they left with us. Once we accepted their bid, they gave us up to two months at the quoted price to get everything in order during the busy spring painting period. Very generous. Due to the heavy landscaping around our property and that of our neighbors, there was some unavoidable plant damage. Sunshine deducted our guess on the cost of replacing the plants from our bill without quibble, and also honored the Angie's list $150 discount. The team was professional, prompt, and not particularly intrusive. They worked quickly but carefully, cleaned up after themselves, and addressed our every concern. Even their green guy on the job did well.

Paul was every customer friendly, curteous and punctual with his schedule. I am not sure if his idea of leaving a gap of 1 week between pressure wash and painting was a good one, but I managed to get him to sign on a 5 year warranty on his job, so I am not concerned as much.

He also bid the neighbors house at $34,000. His bid was three times the neighbors and my next highest bids. Both the neighbor and I felt that he did not want the job unless it was at a greatly inflated price.

I tried contacting a total of 4 companies to do the job. Sunshine Painting was the only one that responded promptly and showed up when they said they would to give me a quote. The job was done quickly and professionally. They walked around the house with me when finished and left no mess behind. The price was not the lowest I was quoted, but it was well worth it and I am very happy.

Paul was very responsive and quick to return calls. The house hadn't been painted in 15 years. So they had a lot of work ahead of them. By the second day, they had the house painted and part of the trim. The house needed three coats in the back due to the exposure of the weather. His crew is fast and hard working and very polite. I have found everything about this company- professional and communicative. They cleaned up everything and kept everything covered until they were done.

Paul Eang was very polite, timely, and reasonably priced. I had a hard time finding someone who would do the work of repainting an older wooden garage door, as everyone else recommended replacing the door, which was working just fine. Paul came out and gave a very reasonable bid for both repainting and refinishing the door, explaining the work that would be involved and didn't seem disappointed that I chose the cheaper option (to prepare the house for sale). Paul's people came out and did the job in one day. (They did leave some paint cans on the job but came back and retrieved them the next day.)

I tried several times to schedule a time for an estimate. I was told that an estimate would be done the following week and I would receive a quote via email. I have heard nothing and have since hired a company that keeps their appointment schedule. I would not work with this company, since they dropped the ball on my estimate and didn't try to reschedule.

PAUL WAS QUICK TO PROVIDE AN ESTIMATE AND AVAILABLE TO DO THE WORK. THE PERSON WHO PAINTED THE PORCH (NOT PAUL) DID A VERY GOOD JOB. PAUL BROKE A PIECE OF GARAGE TRIM IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING SOMETHING TO COLOR MATCH TO AND I AM DISAPPOINTED IN THE ''FIX'' OF THAT (YOU CAN STILL SEE WHERE THE TRIM IS BROKEN). WE ENDED UP HAVING HIM (PAUL) PAINT THE GARAGE TRIM BECAUSE HE WAS ONLY GOING TO TOUCH UP THE TRIM THAT WAS BROKEN. HE WAS SUPPOSED TO CAULK THE BROKEN JOINT, BUT I'M NOT SURE IF HE DID OR NOT. THE PAINT JOB ITSELF WAS VERY GOOD OVERALL, BUT I AM NOT SUPER HAPPY WITH THE BROKEN TRIM AND IT'S SUBSEQUENT FIX. I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN TO PAINT, BUT I WOULD BE MORE FINICKY ABOUT WHAT THEY USED TO COLOR MATCH THE PAINT WITH. THE COLOR MATCH IS VERY GOOD. I CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ORIGINAL AND THE NEWLY PAINTED AREAS. THE PRICE WAS PROBABLY HIGHER THAN I WOULD LIKE, BUT I NEEDED THE WORK DONE QUICKLY (BEFORE IT STARTS RAINING).

PAUL IS SURE TO LET YOU KNOW ABOUT EVERYTHING HE IS GOING TO DO, THEN HAS HIS PEOPLE DO IT. PAUL SHOWED UP EVERY MORNING AT 8AM, CLEAN, WITHOUT A DROP OF LIQUOR ON HIS BREATH. PAUL IS EXTREMELY TRUSTWORTHY AND SO ARE HIS PEOPLE. THEY DO GREAT WORK AND I WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN AND AGAIN. I REMODEL HOMES AND FIND IT REFRESHING TO FIND SOMEONE I DON'T HAVE TO BABYSIT. I HAD ONE CONCERN AND PAUL ADDRESSED IT IMMEDIATELY.

THEY HAD TO SCRAPE A WHOLE LOT OF PAINT OFF. THEY SPENT TWO DAYS DOING PREP WORK, PATCHING AND SEALING STUFF BEFORE THEY EVEN STARTED PAINTING. THEY EVEN WORKED WITH MY HUSBAND AND I ON THE SPECIFIC COLOR THAT I WANTED. I CHOSE A COLOR THAT WASN'T GOOD FOR OUTSIDE AND THEY TOLD ME TO CHOSE A DIFFERENT SHADE. THEY DID IT EXCELLENT AND IN LESS TIME THAN I EXPECTED. IT TOOK THEM LONGER TO DO THE PREP WORK THAN THE ACTUAL PAINTING. THEY CLEANED UP BEFORE THEY LEFT.
