The lead, Angel, and his crew worked continuously, and were clean & considerate. Very good job by them.

The job went well. Paul came out to discuss the job and provided me with a written estimate the next day. During the estimate he highlighted a section of rotten wood above a door that needed to be replaced before painting. The Sunshine team pressure washed the house on one day, then they sealed all the joints on the house. Paul came out to paint a couple of small sections of the house with the paint colors we were interested in, so we could verify how it looked on the house before committing to the paint. After we confirmed the colors, Sunshine Painting completed the painting project in 2 days. There were only a couple of minor touch ups needed after the job was complete.

Paul came out and did a complete inspection and sent a detailed estimate within two days. We selected this company based on his attention to detail. Samantha was very good at following up, scheduling and answering additional questions throughout the job. The pressure washing was completed the week prior to painting. Paul estimated the painting to be 3-5 days. The first day, the 5 painters did sanding and prep work in the morning, and sprayed the body in the afternoon. The second day, they painted the trim. The third day was for touch up and clean up, and they were gone by noon. (Price includes two coats of Sherwin Williams heavy duty paint.)

They did a good Job, relatively swift, and very agreeable to work with.

My experience with them was great. They were very good. The owner was very courteous. He was professional. They were always on time. They were easy to work with and they did an excellent job. They also came back to do some touch ups at no charge. We had some weather damage and they came back and took care of that with no charge.

Just a great job from start to finish, very professional, price was very fair and they finished a day ahead of planned time.

I contacted Sunshine Painting for an estimate. I talked to Samantha who was quick to set up an appointment for Paul, the owner, to see our house and what needed to be done. Paul was very knowledgeable and spotted problems that needed to be done before painting could take place. His painters were able to take care of the trouble spots and did an excellent job. The power washing of our house was amazing. It sparkled when done. The painters also re caulked windows that needed repair, and sanded all loose paint spots. It was a through job from start to finish.

The pressure washing was scheduled one week prior to the remaining work so boards would have time to dry thoroughly. After the washing the deck almost looked like new! We had a carpenter doing some repair prior to the staining and the staining crew worked around this work without conflict. The staining crew was very professional. The head man checked in with me to ensure the scope of work was what we expected, asked questions and purchased the stain we specified. When the job was completed, the head man took me around to inspect the work and offered to do a few other spots that hadn't been listed originally at no additional cost. They began the work on time and completed earlier than expected.

Our house painting saga began over a year ago with a flaky, unrelated contractor that eventually left us high and dry this summer. We were stuck with a half-finished job, a garage full of paint, and a painter that didn't return calls. So, we set out with a new Angie's list membership to find someone reliable to finish the work. Enter Sunshine Painting. Paul Eang came by on time with a day or two of being called about a paint estimate. He was very prepared, professional, and had a reasonable plan for fixing the problems left by our last painter (including agreeing to use the paint we had already bought). He bid $1500 to remove problem paint on two walls and $3450 to finish the job, which was comparable to other bids we had received. We agreed to his terms, mailed him a signed contract and work was scheduled for a couple weeks later. The work itself proceeded without incident. Workers showed up when they were scheduled, worked throughout the day with a minimum of interference, and cleaned up daily. When work was completed, I went on a small tour of the house with the job supervisor to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. With one exception, they did an outstanding job. The only blemish on the whole experience was my door. Or rather, the lack of paint on my door. Specifically, we started the job with a supply of paint for Sunshine painting to use. Included in this supply was a gallon of red paint to use on the trim of the house. As paint was going up on the siding however, and before any work had been done on the trim, we decided that red trim was too much. Instead, we wanted it white, with the exception of the door. The door would remain red. So we bought additional white paint before the trim work began. When work began, Sunshine painting had all the materials for white trim and one red door. Imagine my surprise when I was notified that this would add $200 to the final charge, because my house was now being "painted with three colors." I can understand that prices need to be adjusted when expectations and workload changes. However, try as I might I can't see how a maximum of 15 minutes additional masking equates to a $200 charge. Especially when the door was going to be masked and painted anyway. Regardless, the charge was never explained and I didn't agree to it. So, my front door remains unpainted while I try to find some time in the near future to paint it myself (funny how I didn't get a $200 rebate for having them leave the door unpainted).

The work was done carefully and expertly. Tiny touch-ups were gladly done. Excellent work!

The team that worked on our home did a great job. They took 3 days to complete the project (which was the estimate I was given). Each day they would clean up after their work. Since I wanted them to fix some streaks that I noticed on a part of our home after the job was completed, they returned to fix this within 2 weeks of my request.

Did not accept Visa or Mastercard. Advertisement in AL magazine indicated they did. This should be clarified upfront in the job quote.

Paul and his team, again, did an impressive job for us. I have a high expectation for attention to details and Sunshine has impressed me on three different occasions this year throughout the completion of our remodel, both interior and exterior painting. They are on time, professional, and attentive to their surroundings while completing their work. Anyone who has painted a lot knows that preparation is the key to a successful paint job. The team spent considerable time preparing and making sure everything was masked off and didn't cut any corners in completing the job. The house looks fantastic.

They were wonderful. Not only did they do a good job, but they were very courteous and professional, and were always on time. They had great customer service as well.

I had a quote from this vendor from a year previous that had expired. When I had Paul come out to estimate the job again, he indicated that he had an opening in his schedule and could start work before the end of the business week with the pressure washing. Because I could accommodate his schedule, he charged me the same price for the job as quoted the previous year which was a reasonable savings. A single worker appeared on Friday to powerwash and treat the siding and decks. The house dried over the weekend and a second crew headed by Pablo started the caulking and painting on the following Monday. I was actually on vacation for the work completed by Pablo and crew. I was very pleased with all the work upon my return. Pablo dropped by a few days latter and he handled just a few places that needed touch-up to my satisfaction. I am overall very pleased with the outcome of the job. It is a sign of their reputation and confidence that the owner Paul asked all his customers to submit a report to Angie's List.

We were delighted with the company's professionalism, courtesy and quality of work. We had an overall outstanding experience and we recommend them Sunshine painting to everyone.

Excellent! Sunshine was very easy to work with and went out of their way to please the customer. They were a few days late in getting started because their last customer decided to change the color when it was all done, therefore putting them behind schedule. (what are the odds of that happening twice in a row?) Once they began work, everything went according to plan, that is, until my husband came home and hated the color. I was on the fence with the color I had selected, but my husband was adamant he could not live with a baby poop color on the house. Ouch! I called Darren Eang that evening to let him know we were unhappy with the color and he could not have been nicer. He came out early the next morning and helped me select a few other colors which they applied to the side of the house so I could see which one I liked best. Selecting exterior colors is much more difficult than I had imagined. If you look at the picture I have posted you will see for yourself how deceiving these chameleon colors can be! I finally went with the color suggested by Carlos. It's not one I would have selected but most importantly, my husband is happy and so am I. It cost us an additional $700 but overall, we are very pleased and highly recommend Sunshine Painting.

Overall I felt like they did a fabulous job they were thorough with the project and they were professional and very courteous while they were here working.

Overall, I am very pleased. Paul was very professional from the very start. He arrived on time to give an estimate on painting our home. He was very competitive with his price. His workers showed up on time and were very hard workers. One of our reasons for repainting our home was the caulk between the hardiplank was cracking so we felt we needed to have that taken care of. Unfortunately, several days later after the painting, it started to crack again. I phoned Paul up and he came to take a look at it. He recaulked and said the workers would come by and repaint it. They came and had painted over the caulk and it didn't blend in. It just looked like it had been patched. I also noted, that the top of the trim had not been painted. I called Paul and he said his guys would come and fix it. They promptly came and fixed all of the areas of concern. Paul, thank you and your team. I know it took a couple of visits, but my house turned out great. I appreciate your willingness to make the customer satisfied with the job.

I got my house, porch and walkway painted for 3,200 without the trim being painted because I changed the color from all white to beige and green with a red porch and sidewalk.

Paul came on the day and at the time he'd promised to. He did a thorough examination of the house, suggesting several small things we might want to take care of prior to painting. He submitted his bid in a timely fashion and the bid was in line with the others we got. Paul and a helper powerwashed the house. A few days later the painters, Jose and Jerry Torres, came. They worked very hard and did an excellent job. They insisted that we walk around the house several times and make sure that everything was to our satisfaction and cheerfully completed a couple of very small things we pointed out as still needing to be done. We are very happy with our new paint job!

Paul the owner and the Sunshine painting guys were easy to work with from quote to working around our schedule and easily adapting to our on the spot requests. Paul sent a team of 2-3 guys to work on our house and within a week they had the job completed - even a few special requests that we through at them along the way. As always, try to be specific as possible when getting your quote but this company rolled with the punches and gave us no hassle when we requested some things that were not part of our initial job. I'd highly recommend them. The only reason for a "B" on the pricing is because they came in at the middle point of our three quotes. Final price was a little higher than originally planned only because we asked them to do some additional painting.

Wondered how well the prep work was his motto is you don't pay until you are happy. Went there 3 months later and everything was done right then I mailed him the check. I wish it would of done right the first time.

They were great. Most companies will not consider only painting the second floor. Sunshine painting was very flexible and gave me a quote for power washing the whole house and painting only the second floor (which I could not reach with my ladder) They were excellent!
