Description of Work: Ron Summers came promptly to make an estimate on the work I needed done. he explained well the details of the different levels of work he could do to accomplish different goals. he was not pushy at all about offering the more expensive job versus the less expensive job. he gave me a thorough written estimate on both versions of the job. on discussions with others he gave me accurate description of the advantages and disadvantages of each of the levels of work he proposed. he called back at appropriate intervals to see if I had made a decision. he was clear from the beginning as to when he would be able to start on the job. he arrived as scheduled checking with me whether that would work. he showed up exactly when he said he would. he supervised his employees very closely. he checked on their work and gave clear directions to them. they were interrupted by a major snowstorm, but protected completed work well. they showed up again as soon as the snow was clear enough to work safely on the roof. Ron was very patient with my limitations. he was consistently polite professional and friendly. I plan to do another masonry project in the near future with Mr. Summers.

Description of Work: Trenched and waterproofed foundation, put french drain and new plumbing in basement, foundation for addition, new driveway, chimney repair, skim coating basement walls.

Description of Work: Foundation for new sunroom and garage. Removal of old driveway and patio. Dugout for installation of rain drains. Installed 250' of French drain. Numerous saw cuts to basement concrete walls and floor. Small interior slab and trench fill.

Description of Work: I had a chimney tuck point repair done and limestone facing installed on my fireplace.

Description of Work: They ground out old mortar and tuck-pointed two, hundred-year old chimneys and replaced flashing as needed. They also removed an old stone fireplace in the living room and replaced it with a cement block structure and limestone tile facing. They also removed an old tiled hearth, leveled the surface and applied new limestone tiles.

Description of Work: Poured concrete for entrance to garage.

Description of Work: Ron and his crew did three projects: they repaired two old brick chimneys that were in poor condition; they tore out an existing brick/stone/tile fireplace and hearth; they rebuilt the firebox and hearth and installed limestone tile onto the rebuilt fireplace and hearth.

Description of Work: Summers Masonry came out and gave us a bid on a tear down of our existing chimney. They had to set up five story scaffolding to be able to access the chimney. They installed new galvanized counter-flashing at roofline, rebuilt the chimney back up to the existing height (almost 50 layers), installed horizontal and vertical rebar, installed new clay flu liners, installed a decorative design on top, installed new mortar crown on top with glavanized rebar, acid washed and cleaned up area.

Description of Work: We decided to finally re-model and re-landscape the front exterior of our home. We spoke with several contractors regarding new driveways, stone facia, etc, and all were more expensive than we had hoped. Ron Summers, on the other hand, did a spectacular job, on time, for the agreed-upon price, which included a new stone chimney, stone wainscoting, and new driveway and entry path of matching pavers. Excellent.
