Description of Work: Outstanding Customer Service: I'd been procrastinating for about a year getting a leaking shower faucet valve repaired. I looked on Angie's list and found Stephen Walsh Plumbing, a small, owner operated business in my community, which is the type of business I prefer to work with. I called and got through to Stephen directly on his cell phone as he was driving to a job. I explained my problem and he pulled off the road to spent time asking me questions about the specific problem symptoms, brand of valve, etc. Finally he asked if I was a DIY kind of guy and I said yes. He said that because I had a Delta brand valve, and because Delta was "consumer friendly" I could probably change it myself. He coached me through how to change out the valve myself and told me that if it didn't work out for me, to call him back and he'd come out and finish the job. That was great because it meant that if I was successful I would save a lot of money.

Description of Work: I have has Steve do many repairs and installs for me over the years. He is honest, affordable, and willing to do what it takes to get the job done.

Description of Work: Our shower drain leaked into the living room, and came through the drywall. Stephen opened the drywall up and found a crack in the pipe right next to the drain opening. Stephen went and got some materials, removed the cracked piece and replaced it. He also filled the empty space with foam to help support the shower floor.

Description of Work: Rebuilt shower faucet because it was leaking, unclogged shower drain and unclogged two sink drains.

Description of Work: Steve arrived right at the agreed time. He replaced the kitchen faucet and placed an under-sink water filter. The first filter leaked internally, the second filter had a defect and the third unit went in perfectly and works well. He also checked a toilet that was leaking into the bowl from the tank (fixed it) and determined the reason for the low pressure in the house. All is well in the world!!

Description of Work: Re-plumbed new kitchen sink

Description of Work: Stephen extracted one of my good earrings from the U-joint under my bathroom sink. He also found that one of the water shut-off valves leaked when closed and fixed that too. I was impressed that when I phoned him he offered to walk me through the process of retrieving the earring so I could do it myself--no charge. I didn't take him up on the offer--no confidence in my own plumbing skills--but I thought it was extra nice of him to make the suggestion.

Description of Work: Removed broken toilet and installed new toilet.

Description of Work: Walsh Plumbing installed a new garage disposal and sink in my home.
