ServPro of Gresham

I had to continually contact them with "Did you forget about me". Horrid messes were left every time they did work. I had to call to get someone to come and clean it up and that took a lot of returned calls due to ignoring me. Promises were made and never kept. I did not make waves because I knew I would pay, but even that did not help. So my advise to you is DO NOT CALL SERVPRO OF GRESHAM!!!!!! Sue Prindle

It is going through the insurance company so I don't know what the total bill will be. Prompt, courteous, friendly. They know what they are doing. Very accommodating. They were here within a couple of hours.

Other than the guys being friendly, we have nothing good to say. They were never on time and did not communicate when they were going to be late. It took phone calls to from us asking where are you to get any communication. They damaged our property when they were removing cabinets, etc. to get to the water damage areas. They were not respectful of our property by leaving it to sit out on our front lawn soaking up moisture. Overall we DID NOT have a good experience with them and definatley would not receommend them to anyone else needing work done!

Sent them in to remove water from broken drain pipe, spread lime and replace plastic sheeting in crawlspace of a rental. Two little, wiry guys arrived punctually within a day of being called and hopped right to it slithering down into the narrow (and wet) crawl space and sucking out the water in jig time. I left before they were finished laying new plastic and spreading the lime. A day or two later the plumber arrived to replace the broken pipes and discovered that the plastic had not been placed in part of the crawlspace and the new plastic was so covered with lime that he had to wear a protective suit to avoid contact dermatitis from the lime. The same two guys came back and spread plastic where they hadn't before. The problem with the lime turned out to be that when they 'spread' it (before laying the plastic) they really just threw handfuls of powder around in such an uncontrolled way that a lot stuck to the floor joists overhead and then rained down on the new plastic. The plumber, who had followed Servepro on other jobs, was surprised by the lime and missing plastic. "Doesn't look like a typical Servepro job to me" he said. I have no idea what they charged, since they dealt directly with the insurance adjuster, but word on the street is they're outrageously expensive. After all they had to crawl into an 18" crawlspace full of sewage. |My overall impression is that they tended to move too fast and were more interested in getting in and out than doing high quality work. Next time I'll probably try Servicemaster and see if they do better.

We had used ServPro of Gresham for a previous claim in 2011 in which our entire lower level was flooded; ServPro was on State Farm's approved contractor list. Under that claim, ServPro was quick to respond and ultimately dried out our lower level so that we could move forward with our renovation. I say ultimately, because there was one obvious area of water damage (crawl space off of a closet) that was somehow overlooked (detected by odor), and we had to ask ServPro to come back out to address the water damage in the crawl space before we could move forward with our renovation. Again, ServPro was quick to respond and dried out the crawl space. RECENTLY, we discovered a small leak in the corner of the lower level of our home. We again called ServPro of Gresham to dry out this corner, and again, ServPro responded quickly. However, when we received the bill for services, we were charged $300 over what we actually owed. When this information was brought to ServPro's attention, they quickly adjusted the invoice to reflect actual charges for the work peformed. The individuals we worked with were always friendly and professional. And, I realize that oversights and mistakes do happen. However, we are uncertain, at this point, if we will use ServPro of Gresham again.

Thanksgiving weekend, our water heater failed. It didn't take long to pour 40 or 50 gallons through the wall and into a closet and two bedrooms. What a pain in the butt. We called our insurance and they hooked us up with ServPro of Gresham. Let me be clear: we are nearly 80 miles from Gresham - I would've thought they'd choose someone closer. The ServPro rep came out on Monday and gave me a good idea of the timeline to dry everything out - at least a week, maybe 10 days. Reps came out every day for one thing or another. On Tuesday, a crew came to pack up the affected rooms and closet. I couldn't believe how much they did in just 2 or 3 hours. The reps left a dehumidifer and a couple of air movers then left. Wednesday, they came in to tear up carpet and padding, and to drill holes for air circulation. For the next 10 days (fifty gallons of water took hours to mess up the house, and a week and a half to dry out) they came out every single weekday to check how the process was going, bring in equipment and give us updates. Two small complaints: - They often did not show up at the stated time - to their credit, the weather was awful and I'm not sure how the roads were, and I'd rather have people arrive at my house late and safe than go off the road due to rushing. - We had three dehumidifiers and five air movers in various rooms (and one under the house). As much as they tried, they couldn't get the machines plugged into enough different fuses throughout the house, and the breaker went 10 times in the last 4 days of service. I am not convinced they are at fault - we didn't realize the number of rooms attached to that one breaker, apparently. Really, it was a good end to a very unpleasant situation. I would absolutely recommend ServPro of Gresham to anyone needing water clean up services. I haven't any idea how a home owner would go about this by him/herself.

They came out on 7th July. They were in here a couple of weeks drying out and their billing went directly to the insurance company. We thought they were really professional and pretty good guys to work with. They just took over, pushed us out of the way and dried the place out. They came out here within an hour and a half of being called.

We were very happy with the work they did. They were professional and there was a representative present to oversee the work. We were very satisfied with them.

Excellent job of determining the problems that needed to be fixed and fixing them. Did the job well and in a timely fashion as time was of the essence with our house in disarray while repairs were being made. Dennis was a calming influence and a true professional!! Handled all the paperwork through my insurance company so that was a relief!

This is the fourth leak we have had in our home in the past 13 years. We have used ServPro of Gresham each time and their work and professionalism was outstanding. Their prices have been very fair. The first time we used them was about 8 years ago when we found a water leak under the house and part of the entry had to be torn out. The mold problem was really bad and they took care of that at that time and did a good job. We feel very confident in their service and have dealt with a number of their staff who are "on top of things". After this last time, we will be replacing all the piping under our house. I would recommend this company. Have not received final bill yet.

They did everything well. They came right away and they kept us informed of everything that they were doing. I would say that within less than a half an hour of when they came the pungent smell was gone.

They immediately responded and brought out dryers and cleaned up the mess. Everyone who came to the house (whether they were Servpro or subcontractors) were very professional. Our insurance agency contacted Servpro to setup the services. Even if a person were just to go into Crown Carpet (the subcontractor for the flooring) to purchase flooring, the gentleman really knew his stuff (was an expert installer). The whole thing went very professionally and was well done.

THEY CONTRACTED OUT EVERYTHING THAT WE DIDN'T DO OURSELVES. I HAD TO WATCH WHAT THEY WERE DOING. IF THERE IS A PROBLEM, THEY WILL MAKE IT RIGHT.
