Barrie arrived earlier than our scheduled appointment and performed an annual service of my furnace as stated in my maintenance agreement. He was very conscious of not tracking soil onto my cream carpeting. After the service he clearly explained the work he performed and reminded me to call if problems arose. He was courteous and extremely professional.

We recieved a promt reply to our call for an estimate for the installation of a heat pump and additional gas outlets. Owner was very prompt and courteous. He was very knowledgable about his product. We were able to work out a schedule for the completion of the job to both of our satisfactions. Installation was done very well and cleanup on completion was very good. He even arranged for the inspection of his work and scheduled the appointment as well. We will use this company for any future service or additional installations.

Hoodview Heating always calls to remind me when my twice yearly service is due. They offer a pre-paid plan that at discounted rates gets you twice yearly maintenance calls plus puts you in a priority category if you need service at any other time. This year I had my programmable thermostat go dingy. Brian came right over and replaced it free of charge. I wasn't charged for the service trip either. The products/equipment that Brian installed came with a ten year warranty. This company is the best -- very customer oriented and stands by it's products 100%.

Hoodview installed my system 3 years ago and I've entered into a yearly maintenance relationship that gives me two visits a year to change filters and check the system. They have provided other services such as checking the crawl space heating ducts to make certain there were no leaks as well as giving advice on efficient use of the system. Their service results in worry free and efficient heating and A/C for our home. I highly recommend their program.

I was very impressed with Brian's professionalism. The office manager called to inform me he would arrive earlier than scheduled. I have a light living room carpet and he put on protective booties to insure he was not tracking in dirt from the outside. He thoroughly answered my questions and quickly assessed what was needed. The quote for the job was accurate and very reasonable. I was so impressed with his expertise that I signed up for the maintenance plane which covers both my furnace and A/C. Brian was excellent from start to finish. This is a small company. I worked directly with the owner. The estimate was the best I had of four bids. The estimate was the most complete with heat load calculations and savings software programs that identified the most efficient system for my house and weather conditions. The calculations showed a 40% energy savings and over the winter that's exactly what I got -- very impressive, especially since this was one of the coldest, windiest winters. The install was done quickly and correctly. Most impressive has been the service and followup. I had trouble reinstalling the filter door after cleaning the filters and Brian came out twice (no cost to me) and helped me figure out how to solve the problem. He and Angela are the best. Great product, outstanding service.

He was very helpful, professional, courteous, responsive, and helpful. He came right out and evaluated the problem. I called someone out months before and I was running my heating directly from the furnace strips because he had disengaged the heat pump. Hood view gets an A+++ because they were so helpful, professional, and courteous. I would highly recommend to others.

We were very pleased with the service. Performed price was reasonable and we are very happy with our unit.

During the hottest days our A/C did not noticeably lower the temperature. I suspected that it was not performing as it should and called Hoodview Heating and A/C to check it out. I expected they might get out to Sandy in a few days or possibly within a week. The woman at the desk contacted the technician and arranged for him to be here that day. After calling to confirm, he arrived early in the afternoon. He made a thorough check of the A/C, he said it was performing to specs. He also said that A/C's in this area are not sized to produce a very cool temperature during such hot weather and it was doing all it was expected to do (Which raises a whole other question of the practicality of having A/C at all here. During moderate weather - almost all the time here - we get by without A/C. We only want it for the really hot days). The technician did notice that the condenser coil was quite dirty and offered to clean it for a very reasonable charge, which he did. The whole experience was quite pleasant. There was no pressure to do or buy anything. He just explained the situation, presented the options and waited for me to make a decision.

They were late twice out of the four times I used them (like an hour late). They were always pushing me to pay more money for future times. The person who owned the company, when he did work on my equipment I needed to call back for him to return. He said he found something broken in the furnace, but it happened two times in a row. I think it was very suspicious on the missing parts.

Hoodview installed a new heating A/C system for us last year (2007) and have performed the routine service with rapidity and quality. They came to attend to a chimney problem unrelated to the A/C unit and fixed it expeditiously and for a reasonable service fee.

Very well. They were pleasant, fast, and efficient. Cleaned up well and explained thoroughly the operation of equipment. This is not the first time with this contractor. We picked him because he has given us good service in the past.

I actually stumbled upon this company via my home-warranty. We have a two-story house, our A/C freezes the downstairs and the upstairs stays warm. All the bedrooms are upstairs and it gets uncomfortably hot. I came up with the idea that there was a leak in my duct system somewhere, since I could feel cold air moving out from underneath our house. So I called my warranty company who put me in touch with Hoodview to have them come check it out. They came and checked out everything, even getting in the crawlspace and the attic. There was nothing. The technician had a couple ideas but wasn't sure which one would be best, so he said he'd have the boss man come take a look and perhaps a zone system might work. This is a family run business, the wife, Angie, who handles the office part of the business, called to setup an appointment for us. She explained that Brian, her husband and the man who handles these types of calls, would be perfectly willing to come see us on our schedule, which meant the evening so that both my husband and I could be here. I have to say, Angie was the nicest, most professional person I've come across in this field. I've dealt with so many rude a/c people who have acted bothered to even return a simple call for a quote. So imagine my surprise to deal with someone who sets the bar so high for customer satisfaction, at my very first interaction. So my husband and I were fully expecting to hear a high cost solution. Yet, when Brian arrived and spent about an hour with us, that was not how it went. He explained all of our options and how things worked. He was very thorough and clearly knows what his business extremely well. His expertise was top notch and unparalleled. My husband and I both felt like we had just sat through a fabulous college class. We both learned so much, and we will use what we learned for the rest of lives, either as we buy houses in the future or when we run into problems. By the time we were done, we felt guilty for taking so much of his time because his recommendation was to go with the lowest cost option, which was free, and not to spend a ton of money. Obviously, this was great for us, but not so great for his business. In fact, we were so grateful that we tried to pay him for his time, but he wouldn't even hear of it. All I can say is that people this helpful, with this level of expertise and honesty, do not come along often. I would highly recommend that anyone needing any sort of heating, a/c or similar work done choose Hoodview Heating and Air Conditioning. I only wish there were more people out there just like Brian and Angie.

Got my heat pump up and running on a SATURDAY!!! What great service!!! They have a maintenance plan that gives a good deal on servicing...discounting service, parts, etc. When signing up for the plan which includes 2 maintenance calls for the year, you also get 15% discount for parts and labor if needed AND NO overtime charge for Saturday!! This company will be my maintenance crew from now on!!!! Thank you!!

They were very responsive. They made a small mistake and took care of it with out any hassle. I set up a service contract and they take care of everything without me having to call. I am very satisfied with the service and will use them again.
