They are excellent. He comes twice a year to check the furnace and air conditioner. He cleans the furnace and makes sure that everything is functioning okay. In 2008 they installed a heat pump. Since then, we've used them exclusively. We have been very, very happy with them.

My old furnace was installed when the house was built over 20 years ago and had maintenance issues. We decided to install a new one to forestall maintenance difficulties in the future. Brian gave us an estimate which seemed reasonable and we scheduled a date and the replacement was accomplished on time as planned.

We talked with four other heating contractors and chose Hoodview because the price was very good and the product features were among the best. In addition to the Angie's List reviews we checked with with the Construction Contractors Board and the Better Business Bureau and found nothing negative. I found that getting specific comparison information about the different brands of heat pumps we were looking at was hard to find. The reviews for each brand tended to have a number of very good reviews and a number of very poor reviews - not much in the middle. Of course they are all based on whether they had no trouble or if a part had failed and required sometimes costly service. I saw that as a good reason to purchase the optional Extended Warranty. It also helped that our neighbor has the same type of heat pump and has been very happy with it. Since our old oil furnace was not functioning my wife and I were happy that we didn't have to wait for months before work would begin. A week after signing our contract work began. Everything went well. Brian and his crew arrived on the date and time as promised. They explained the process to our satisfaction and got to work. The only hiccup was removing the old oil furnace heat exchanger. It was too large to get out of the crawlspace without cutting it into pieces. It turned out to be a very heavy gauge steel beast and they weren't really prepared to cut it up with the tools they had. We agreed to let them come back about a week later, after the new furnace was installed and functional, to cut it up and get it out. No big deal for us. We are very happy with our nice new heat pump.

Installation of thermostat occured in a prompt and timely manner. Was informed on how to program thermostat and tech programmed it for me before he left. Purchased additional heating/cooling system maintenance and then signed up for annual package. Had him back on a weekend in summer for service to air conditioner at reduced cost. Recently called to arrange for winter tune-up under package. Very happy.

Brian Barrie arrived on time, completed the tune-up on our heat pump and furnace and provided a detailed description of the worked performed. We have used Hoodview Heating and Air Conditioning in the past and have been very impressed with their service.

Hoodview Heating and AC installed a new furnace and heat pump for us in 2005. Since that time Brian has always been extremely responsive to any problems we've had, always showing up for service no later that the next day. The most recent visit we had was in July 2012 and a motor in our heat pump had gone out. Brian was out the next day and fixed the problem right away, and it was covered under the American Standard warranty. Hoodview always responds immediately to any service requests, working around our schedule, even during the busiest times of year.

This was Brian's second job for us. Job was completed as promised without any problems.
