The repairman replaced the compressor, wiring harness and recharged the refrigerant. His work involved pressure testing, checking voltage and 3 1/2 hours of labor. He arrived on time, was courteous and professional, and did excellent work. My AC has been working great!

Excellent! This is the 3rd time we have used them (for different reasons in different homes) and again they were punctual, friendly, knowledgeable and fairly priced! It happened over Christmas and we had calls in to several companies. Another company who had a sooner availability quoted us 3 TIMES the cost! Thankfully, Honke became available!

I needed a new Furnace and AC at both my home and a rental home. I was referred to Honke by a trusted neighbor, and the estimator Rick came onsite to both my properties (on the same day, back to back) whereas the other companies gave me virtual bids in which I had to fill out detailed forms, and submit pictures and measurements. Honke's bids were clearly the best value, only slightly more for high end Lennox HVAC systems than the two other companies who offered lesser brands which were also less efficient. Honke's installation was also a great experience. Barry addressed all the issues at my home which was installed improperly. They reinstalled the intake and exhaust lines as well as rerouted the condensate drain line properly to my washing machine drain. He also found and fixed a serious but hidden issue with insulation blocking air flow inside the plenum. Desiree helped from the main office, filing most of the rebates for me, and I have enough info on my receipt to claim the federal tax credits for 2020. Honke is an outstanding company and the employees I worked with were incredibly professional and helpful. This work was done during the COVID-19 pandemic, so an extra ¨Thank You¨ for two jobs very well done!

The salesman (former HVAC tech) who provided us with quotes was nice to my husband but treated me (female) 2nd class. After I emailed this guy about some issues we had with the install, he instead wrote a reply only to my husband. For him to not cc me on the email is absurd given I was the primary household member with the install issue (excessive noise from return vent). This continued on until I complained to the Operations Manager. The work done was so so, although I wish the crew would have thought through the possibility of there being noise with the return vent. The City tech came to inspect the furnace and found that no strap was placed around it. ): We had the team out here several times between fixing the noisy return issue and needing a strap. Worst of all was the poor treatment I received. A close friend was visiting when the salesman was over to discuss the noise and he asked my friend if she thought it was loud, as if he thought I was hearing things. I hope he no longer is employed at this company.

They arrived on time, found the problem and repaired and the replaced the broken switch in the water pump for the air-conditioning unit that was not allowing the furnace to come on. They did an excellent job!

We are very happy with the product and service. The technician was well informed, efficient and polite. Randy was great-even having someone come and work well into the evening to ensure we would not be without heat for the weekend. He also came out when we had a few questions and helped us with a venting issue. We highly recommend Honke.

From the sales to the financing to the service, Honke was excellent. I highly recommend them.

I don't remember anything being unprofessional or unpunctual. I would think I would remember if there was a problem.

They had installed the furnace and the air conditioning originally so that's why I called them. We've been very happy with what they did. We had three bids when we replaced our furnace and put in air conditioning in. We've been real happy with what we decided on with Honke and they were not the least expensive either. They compared fairly well with the other ones. They weren't the least expensive but they were way out there in price either. They seemed competitive. We had kind of an unusual situation and so I think the reason we went with Honke was because my husband felt that they had the best ideas on how to deal with the problem that we have.

Good. The technician suspected immediately what was wrong. He opened the heater cover and removed a piece of paper (which I could not see) that had gotten stuck in the blower. This took about a minute to do. I thought he would either not charge me (good PR) or charge me a small amount of money. Nope, he changed me $105. I don't fault him for doing this. I think the company should make exceptions for their minimum charge for cases like this that the owner could easily remedy.

I had trouble with the scheduling, so that would be the only reason I would give them a B. Once they actually came out and did the check, that was fine. They kind of screwed up the schedule date.

I would never recommend them. Even though that I know they do good work I wouldn?t recommend them because of their business practice. They could have told me that I would have needed an AC unit at the same time, would?ve saved me $3000. But no, they put it back together knowing it was old, very pieced together. Six months later when I needed it last year when it was 111 my AC didn?t work because they put it back in and they shouldn?t have put it back in. They should have told me that ?hey, we should probably put a heat pump in and that?s what we?re recommending because both of you?re units are very old.? But they didn?t so it ended up costing me another $4000 to put in an AC unit on top of putting in a new heater. And they were hoping I?d say, ?Yeah they were such a good company ? they?ll call us back and we?ll get more money. Well that?s not how it works. They could?ve told me right then. That technician knew. The guy who came out to put in the AC unit looked at it and laughed. He just said ?man there?s no way that guy should?ve left you with this.? I mean sometimes it?s not good to tell people it?s going to cost you more money, but at least you could be aware before it happened, you know? Then we were stuck during the summer getting someone to show up and it was expensive. What we could have gotten for six or seven thousand ended costing us eleven. For this house I should have a heat pump in it instead of a furnace, a gas furnace, and an AC unit. It just makes no sense. Especially if you?re replacing both at the same time you just put in a heat pump. It?s a lot of money but it is what it is. We got good work done. I can?t say they didn?t do good work, they did. They weren?t the cheapest in town. You get what you pay for. I told them to come out and give me a heater and that?s what they did. They did exactly what I told them to do. They were timely. They were very timely. They did what they say they were going to do, and in and out. It was clean. They unplugged my freezer and I lost my Alaskan salmon. He took care of it though. Price is high but you get what you pay for. Quality of service and the equipment is good. It's 98% efficient.

Matt came out and had our problem fixed within about an hour. We wasted almost $900. with another company who never found the problem.

There was no cost. I would absolutely use them again.

Earlier this spring they did a really good job of maintenance on the air conditioning unit and the heating unit in the house. On the price, in Portland, that's pretty reasonable actually.

We had a lot of trouble with the people that did the humidifier. It wasn't their brand, but they still came to look at it. I believed at that time that they told me it wasn't a brand that they worked with. They tried, which is more than what some of the other people did. They've been good. They're skilled. They are punctual, if you make an appointment, they show up on time. So, they're punctual.

The reason that we started using them was because the neighbor used them. So, it came as a referral. They came on time; they did what they said they would do. It's like they have their technician for the region, so it's the same technician that my neighbor had, do that's encouraging to me.

I always use them. They are a great company! No complaint whatsoever!

Great. I'll hire again for sure. I waited a little late in the season to call them--they were already pretty booked up so I had to wait for the service. There are not many companies that work on oil furnaces and after Mr. Nash retired, I lost the company I came to depend on to work on my furnace every year. There was only one other company in Portland I knew of and I'd had a bad experience with them, so I was glad to find Honke. They did a thorough job, the furnace is running great.

It went well. Professional, on time, nice person.

It went wonderful. Two very nice service man very polite did a marvelous job..

They're excellent. They go up in the attic and run a flexible tube through there. Then they mount the unit on the wall in the room and hook it up, and I get heat and cold.

We called their service and they set came by on 01/01/2016 promptly for an urgent service call. Randy replaced the heating element and cleaned the burner while he was there. Since it was urgent, they charged me the urgent service surcharge, but we were very glad that they came by on the 1st. Very professional, both on the phone and in person. Highly recommended.
