I initially contacted Clawson on a rec from NW Natural Gas for routine cleaning and heater service. The president, Mike, came out and did a very thorough evaluation. Turns out our furnace had several cracked parts and he showed me everything that needed repairing and then we agreed to buy needed parts and have them do repair. While awaiting parts to arrive, our ARCTIC BLAST 2008 hit and the water drain pipe from our furnace froze solid and froze all the way into the center of the furnace and stopped working. This freezing occurred due to improper initial install NOT error on Clawson's part. We awoke on a Tuesday to a very cold house. I called Clawson and they had a repair tech at our door in 15 minutes! With chains on his van and up our very steep hill! He was at our house for at least 2 hours trying to get the furnace thawed and get it running...to no avail. He suggested we either needed to wait for the furnace to thaw to determine what further repairs were now needed (weather was expected to stay below freezing x 10 days) or replace furnace entirely. I spoke to Mike by phone and he offered to refund all money we had already spent (about $800) and put that towards the new furnace. We agreed to this and Clawson had their install crew at our house...in <36 hours! They worked quickly and cleaned up their entire mess after the install. The thoroughly insulated all drain pipes to prevent refreeze in future. They even left us a gift basket with holiday treats!

The Clawson 'team' converged on our home on time and ready to work. It was obvious from the start that they knew exactly what they were doing. The first thing noticed is these guys are neat! They made every effort to ensure nothing got dirty or damaged. Very impressive. Mike Clawson arrived to do some problem solving regarding the placement of the gas line and location of the upstairs(attic) furnace. It was clear that the team worked very well together, and problems were meant to be solved, not to be barriers to completing the job correctly. The 'team' went about the business of cleaning all the ducts, taking out the old furnaces and installing the new ones. Sean Fahr was the lead guy on all of this and he was great! Very approachable, providing answers to all of our questions as the installation was going on. He and each member of the team were very impressive. It has been a few months since the job was completed. The results are great! We are very pleased.

Joe and his crew were professional, courteous, arrived promptly as scheduled, and were very thorough in their work. They explained everything as worked and involved me in any decision on installation if there was any question as to my preference.

Excellent. From the initial meeting and discussion of my needs based on my house configuration and future plans, I felt comfortable with the fairness of the quote and facts to make an informed decision. The office staff contacted me to arrange the install and called to reconfirm a few days prior. The install went fine (it took 1-1/2 days). Clawson is pretty straightforward. Sales did not try to "snow" me, and I am really glad I chose them. We've had the opportunity to use both the furnace and A/C, and both work as advertised.

Timely response to see a salesperson after initial contact, he explained all the options, gave a good estimate that was honored for price. The crew arrived when scheduled, very professional took the extra step, cleaned up after themselves and took only two days to complete all the work. Very professional installation. System works great and the air cleaner is fantastic.

Yeah! We now have heat in our new home construction project. The guys did a great job!

GOOD PRICE, GOOD FURNACE. THEY HAD TO COME OUT A SECOND TIME TO RECLEAN THE DUCTS DUE TO LEAVING A PILE OF DEBRIS IN THE CENTRAL TRUNK LINE OF THE DUCTS. I FOUND THE DEBRIS BY TAKING A MIRROR AND A FLASHLIGHT AND LOOKING UP IN THE DUCTS. INSTALLATION OF THE FURNACE WAS FAST. THE CREW WAS COURTEOUS. TOOK THEM A WEEK AND A HALF TO COME OUT TO RECLEAN THE DUCTS. THE CREW DID NOT REPLACE THE DOORS TO THE FURNACE ROOM WHEN THEY WERE DONE.

I WOULD SAY OVERALL A "B." IT WAS A MATTER OF MONTHS ON WARRANTY, IT TOOK THEM TWO TRIES TO FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT. I DIDN'T WANT TO PAY THE PRICE BUT I FEEL IT WAS REASONABLE.
