Description of Work: He was hired by my HOA to replace the roof. They tried to get the roof done prior to a rainstorm that was anticipated for a week. His workers failed to get the roof on in adequate time and relied on a tarp. The tarp failed and a large amount of rain water was allowed into the attic of my building causing damage to several units. Part of the ceiling of one of the rooms in my unit collapsed. He conveniently tried to blame this on my ceiling fan being improperly installed. Water was also found pouring from the moulding around the patio door. I had an insurance adjuster come out who recommended the ceiling be fixed, carpet padding dried and the exterior wall replaced. Charles took care of the ceiling and carpet padding (and did a good job) but refused to do the wall. I've now discovered that there is a moisture issue in the wall and I'm left to deal with it on my own.

+ -1 moreTheir price was very good; they came substantially lower than other bids. They showed up a couple of days later than the actual date and had to do some other work in the meanwhile, so, they left without cleaning things. They left a lot of mess around the yard. We had ordered opening skylights and they got fixed skylights. So, we had to have them come back for cleanup and finish up skylights. Eventually, they did an okay job, but, I am still going to call my contractor to fix the shingles around the chimney.
Description of Work: They tore off the roof completely and put a new one.

+ 0 moreCharles gave me an estimate for repair only and said the roof would last a few more years so no need to replace it at this time. I was sure he would tell me that it needed to be torn off and replaced!! I was surprised! My main roof will need replacing in a few years and I definitely will call him again! I have to say that the guy he sent to do the work was 1/2 hour late and I did not receive a call to let me know.
Description of Work: Replaced dry rotted board covering the eave of my porch, cut out new vent holes, replaced venting hardware, placed flashing under the flat roof edge to insure rain ran into the gutter, refastened gutter to fascia board.
