+ 0 moreWe had used Ernie before when we had another wood-burning fireplace retrofitted to gas burning. At that time, Ernie was the only professional that we had excellent service from, so called him when we moved and wanted the same thing done. He also does heating, so he and John installed great furnace, it went very quickly and I feel got a great value. If you ever have thought moving to a gas fireplace, call Ernie, you will LOVE it! He also carries all kinds of supplies for fireplaces and hearths.
Description of Work: Retrofit a wood burning fireplace to a gas burning one. Install gas line to fireplace. Install gas line valve. Install logs, sand, and grate. Install new gas line to kitchen for new gas range. (This required many feet of piping and some planning, which Ernie did well, resulting in keeping the piping indoors, which we preferred) Dismantle old gas furnace and install new 95% efficient one with humidifier.

Our fireplace retrofitting was a little more complicated than most, but Ernie and John were excellent problem solvers and quickly had a sound plan that was efficient, cost effective and aesthetically pleasing. Both Ernie and John were very pleasant and professional. Ernie also had a good sense of humor which didn't affect the his work, but made the experience more pleasant. Got the job done in good time, paying close attention to details and responding to any concerns I had. They left the house as it was when they arrived.
Description of Work: Fireplace retrofitting--Wood-burning to gas. (Specialist in gas fireplaces retrofitting---no new construction.)
