Rainy Day Gutters

JHe was very friendly and had the work done within 2 days, I was very pleased with all his work and would suggest him to the rest of my family and friends.

I was pretty happy with that. They did good work. They charged reasonable price and they did it fairly promptly. I had 3 or 4 other bids and they were the lower bidder. They did it for what they said they were going to do it for. I am going to use them again any day now.

lI see there was a previous review on Rainy Day Gutter which was very unfavorable. I dont know if there was a owner change, or simply that Ron had a helper at that time who was not top notch. BUT... I can tell you from my experience today that their work is excellent!! Ron was very attentive to making sure I was 100% satisfied with his work, and reminded me of his policy that should I have any issues just to call and he would be out to fix it. My new gutter is such a blessing, no more dripping from that leaky old plastic gutter :o) And the two of them had it done in no time, no lally gagging around...very professional. I would have zero doubts of who to recommend should I be asked for a contractor who installs / replaces gutter. Rhonda W.

Though Ron's bid was higher than the competitor by $50 he was much friendlier and seemed more interested in doing our job answering a slew of questions in regards to the "victorian" style gutters he installs, so we went with his business Rainy Day Gutters. The gutters themselves are beautiful and the color matched the house trim perfectly, the problem was the quality of workmanship and attention to details. All around the house the gutter screws are 1-1/2" too long and sticking out behind the facia board. This looks expecially bad at the entry way to the house, all around the front porch. A simple fix would have been to use shorter screws, or if that was to much to ask, if the installers simply would have made just a little effort the screws could have put into the 2x4's the facia attaches to (the 2x4's are withing inches of the screws in many places.) This little bit of effort would have been much more professional and looked much better. Also, my husband had asked that a carport gutter be directed to drain into the roof gutter with a small downspout contecting the two and at the time Ron had agreed to this, but when the work was completed there was no conecting small downspout and the all of the water from the carport would have been allowed to just drain across the roof to the gutter there. I brought to Ron's attention as I was concerned about wear to the roof. Ron's reply was that he had been "doing gutters for 8 years and never seen a problem with it." My concern was that if water can wear through rock, it can wear through roofing. When corrective work was required the company was slow to respond and then when it was done we had to call them back a third time to correct the corrective work. Again, attention to details and quality of workmanship was really lacking and in the end, we really wished we had gone with another business.
